The Quran is a cure for that which is in the heart

The human is a creature who cannot relieve himself or cause it any harm, unless Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) wills.

He cannot have any effect on his own life or death. The human being is a weak creature who cannot stand cold and heat, the sun or air. His body is not covered with wool or feathers. If a thorn pricks him, he may suffer from pain all night. Even a germ may cause his weakness or perhaps death.

Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) the exalted gives an example of the weakness of a human in the Holy Quran:

“And if any fly snatches away a thing from them, they will have no power to release it from the fly. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought.” (22:73)

We can see from this great example that a human cannot even put up with a fly, or on the other hand the human still thinks he's a tough cookie because he may be a boxing champion, or a champion wrestler and according to his own beliefs, he will challenge anything coming in his ways, but for now forget challenging another human. What if a wasp was to come and sting him, he would be running around crying for help!

Remember, this is only the physical side of the human from which he suffers, but the main weakness is based in the internal, which in fact is the heart!

The heart is the foundation of the human body and if that remains weak so wills the rest of the human structure.

All of the diseases of the heart are founded up on desires and doubts.

The life of the heart and its illumination is the cause of all good to be found in it and its death and darkness is the cause of all evil to be found in it.

 There are many reasons why the heart is affected and these are due to the negative qualities of mankind, such as ignorance, impatience, pride, greed, disbelief and oppression. These negative qualities are the cause of the human heart becoming weak and ill, and in order to purify the heart, we need to find a cure.

Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) the Almighty has given us a cure for our heart, which is the Holy Quran.

The Quran is a cure for that which is in the heart and for the one who has the sickness of worldly desires, for it leaves certain knowledge and understanding from which the heart sees such a thing in accordance to their reality. It's not just about reading the Quran but understanding the Quran is where we slip up, and we miss out on the message which is given out to us and all the wisdom it contains. So once we fail to read and understand the Quran we obviously miss out on the most important issue which is acting upon the message, and the guidance of the Holy Quran which is the key to returning the heart into its normal state in which it was created, just as the body returns into its normal state upon being treated..

Remember once again, the heart forms the foundation, it is the owner of the limbs, the limbs are its soldiers, so when the owner becomes purified, its soldiers become purified, and when the owner becomes disgraced then its soldiers become disgraced

Greed encourages behavior that benefits one person and hurts many others.

 Millions of people around the world die every year because of poverty, or war, millions more lose their homes and their families, we are destroying this planet, and all because of a few people who make tons of money off of all that.

And greed is hardly ever the motivation for progress.

Most people invent things, not because they are greedy, but because they have a passion for science etc.

They don't care for the money.

The people that make the most money off of new inventions are usually the ones that do absolutely nothing except counting their money.

Greed breeds enemies. Generosity breeds friends.

The Stone in the Desert

An Arab while crossing a desert came across a huge rock half buried in the sand.

 Scrawled on the boulder was this inscription:

TURN ME OVER AND YOU WILL BENEFIT FROM IT

The Arab felt sure there was a great treasure hidden beneath it and worked mightily to turn it over.

He succeeded after several hours. But there was no treasure there, only an inscription on the underside of the rock.

The Inscription Was

GREED IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL REMEMBER THIS AND YOU WILL BE A BETTER MAN.

Every single one of us, no matter how pious, religious and knowledgeable - commit sins and makes mistakes.

It's especially tough when one is young. There is just so much pressure.

Peer pressure, societal pressures, parental pressure - there's pressure from all over. And it's not only limited to when we are young.

 Adults too feel the pressure. So many times, we feel we are compelled to do things that we know are wrong or that we not supposed to do.

The very least we can do is try. After all, Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) knows we are weak.

"Allah would make the burden light for you, for the human being was created weak." Noble Qur'an (4:28)

"Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear." Noble Qur'an (2:286)

However, He Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) also wants us to work towards improving ourselves.

"Surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition." Noble Qur'an (13:11)

We can never stop sinning and making mistakes. But at the very least, we can try our true best to be perfect (even though we know we can't become perfect human beings).

The Lord will provide

A generous king once ruled in the land of Hijaz.

Every day two beggars used to come to him for alms and he always gave them food and money.

On receiving the alms one of them, the older one, used to say: "Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) provides."

The other beggar, the younger of the two, would say: "Our king provides."

One day the king gave them more money than usual, whereupon the older man cried out lustily: "Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) provides."

This annoyed the king who thought: "It is I who am feeding him and he keeps saying: 'Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) provides, Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) provides'.

It is time he learnt who his real benefactor is."

The next day after he had given them alms he asked the beggars to go by a little-used road instead of their usual one.

"I have provided for one of you," he said. "Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) will provide for the other."

He made sure that the one who always praised him went first.

 He had ordered that a purse of gold be kept on the road in the beggar's path so that he would find it.

But as the beggar walked down the road he wondered why the king had sent him that way.

"Perhaps he wants me to enjoy the privacy of this road," he thought.

"It is indeed a beautiful road and so broad. One can walk with eyes closed."

And he closed his eyes. As a result he missed seeing the purse.

It was spotted and picked up by the other beggar who was coming behind him.

The next day the king asked the beggars whether they had found anything on the road he had sent them by and he looked meaningfully at the younger man.

But the beggar shook his head.

"It was a beautiful road," he said. "But I did not find anything on it."

"But I did," said the other man. "I found a purse of gold. Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) provides.”

Now the king became even more determined to show the older beggar that he was their true benefactor.

So while the beggars were going away he called the younger one back and gave him a pumpkin.

The pumpkin had been hollowed out and filled with silver coins. But the beggar did not know that.

On the way he sold it to a shopkeeper for a few coins.

The next day the king asked the beggars if anything eventful had happened the previous day, looking meaningfully at the younger beggar.

"Nothing," said the beggar. "Except that I earned a few more coins than usual by selling the pumpkin you had so generously given me."

The king tried hard not to show his dismay.

"And you?" he said to the other beggar. "Did you too earn more than usual?"

"I certainly did," said the beggar. "As I was passing by a shop, a shopkeeper he called me and gave me a pumpkin.

 When I went home and cut it I found that it was full of silver. As I always say," Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) provides."

A true believer is firmer than a mountain.

"I testify that there is no one worthy of worship besides Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

He is all by Himself and has no partner and I testify that Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam is His servant and Rasul.

 I am pleased with Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) as my Lord,

Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam as my Rasul and Islam as my Deen

 “For sure it is in the remembrance of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) that the heart finds rest,” (13:28)

                      May Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) make our efforts sincere and keep us all on the straight path...........
