Hypocritical and Godly Charities

I Seek refuge in Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), from the Shaitan.
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

………………………. Legal income is the requisite of honesty. ……………………

The prophets of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) used to work hard for getting aliment as they were diligent over the Hereafter.
Our beloved prophet had a piece of land for agriculture;
Other prophets did not sit at home to receive free food but all of them were working hard.
The prophet Moses A.S. remained herder for many years.
The prophet David A.S. was ordered by Exalted Allah to make armor.
Prophet Suleiman A.S. got aliment by liquid copper. (Peace & blessings be upon of them
(.'The companions of holy prophet Muhammad used to struggle for achieving aliment;
The first caliph Abu Bakr as-Siddique (may Allah be pleased with him) was a cloth dealer.
The forth caliph, Ali R.A. (may Allah be pleased with him), despite his high dignity was working at the well of a Jew.
None of Sahaba denied striving for the sake of his family members,' he added more

Laziness is refused in Islam, legal income and Halal aliment ensures safe life and a best future.
Legal income is the requisite of honesty.
Most of the criminals committed sins and crimes due to their illegal incomes.
Haram income affects the whole life and all characters of the person.
On the other hand, legal income ensures the blest future of people. "Self-sufficiency": one of the best teachings of Islam.
He emphasized that while seeking aliment we must be sufficient.
Satiety makes a person rich in fact.
Holding lots of money is not the sign of rich people but it is self-sufficiency that makes people rich
Halal applies not only to food products but to all aspects of life and social context.
One may hear mention of, "Halal money." What does this mean?
For example, if a new religious center, school,
Hospital or any facility for social benefit is to be built,
The funding must come from "clean" money or what is known as
"Halal income." Money derived from gambling, the selling of alcohol,
Drug trafficking, illicit social vices or any illegal activity is considered detrimental to society
And therefore not acceptable or considered a Halal income.

……..Hypocrisy
Sura An-Nisa: 37 - 41
37. "Those who are niggardly and enjoin people to niggardliness
And hide what Allah has given them out of His grace;
And we have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating chastisement."

      Hypocritical and Godly Charities
This verse, in fact, is the continuation of the subject of the former verses which refers to the arrogant persons and haughty ones.
Such persons not only refrain from doing well to human beings themselves,
But also invite people to niggardliness. It says:
"Those who are niggardly and enjoin people to niggardliness ..."
Moreover, they often try to conceal that
Which Allah has bestowed them out of His Grace lest people of their society expect something from them?
"... and hide what Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) has given them out of His grace...."
Then, the Qur'an states about the fate and the end of these persons as this:
"... and we have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating chastisement."
Perhaps the key to the secret of mentioning the word
'The disbelievers' in this verse is that: 'niggardliness' often originates from infidelity,
Because the niggardly persons,
Indeed, have not a complete faith upon the endless merits of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) unto the good-doers.
So, when it says that their punishment is "a humiliating chastisement ",
it is for the reason that they may see the retribution of 'arrogance' and 'self-admiration' through this way.

 38. "And (the arrogant ones are) those who spend their wealth to be seen by people
And neither believes in Allah nor in the Last Day; and anyone whose companion be Satan,
(What) an evil companion then he is!"
Sometimes Satan whispers and tempts something from a long distance into some persons,
And sometimes it does it from a short distance.
The believers usually flee from the temptations of Satan,
But sometimes Satan becomes as a constant friend and companion of some people.
It may approach them very nigh, and in a manner that Sura Al-Zukhruf, No.43, verse 36 refers to.
It states: "And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD),
We appoint for him a Satan, so he becomes his associate."
1. Both to abandon giving charity and to give charity hypocritically are bad.
In the previous verse, niggardliness was blamed,
And here in the above verse, hypocritical remittals are remonstrated.
2. Hypocrisy is the sign of the lack of true faith in Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) and the Hereafter.
A hypocrite relies on people, and then he is deprived from the full reward in the Hereafter.
3. The goal of giving charity is not only satiating the hungry,
Since this aim can be gained by hypocrisy either.
So, the aim of giving charity is also the spiritual growth of the giver of charity.

39. "And what (harm) would it have done them if they had believed in Allah
And the Last Day, and spent in charity of what Allah had provided them with?
And Allah is ever aware of them."

In this verse, as an expression of sympathy and regret for the state of this group,
it says that what would happen to them if they returned from this deviated-path
And believed in Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) and the Last Day?
They could also spend a part of the bounties that
Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) had given them to the servants of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)   with a sincere intention and through a pure thought.
By this way, they would earn the felicity and happiness of this world and the next world both.
"And what (harm) would it have done them if they had believed in Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) and the Last Day,
And spent in charity of what Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) had provided them with?
However, Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) is aware of their intentions and deeds,
And He will give them an appropriate reward and retribution accordingly.
"..And Allah is ever aware of them."

40. "Verily Allah does not do injustice even of the weight of an atom,
And if there he a good deed He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward."
This verse, addressing the faithless and niggardly persons,
Whose status was introduced in the former verses, says:
"Verily Allah does not do justice even of the weight of an atom...."
The Arabic term /arrah/ originally means very small ant which is not seen easily;
But, gradually it has been applied for every small thing.
Accordingly, nowadays, 'atom', which is any of the smallest particles of an element, is also called /arrah/.
And, in view of the fact that the Arabic word /miqal/ means 'weight',
The Quranic phrase /miqala arratin/ means 'the weight of an extraordinary small thing'.
Then, the verse adds that: not only Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) does not do injustice, but also:"... and if there he a good deed He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward."
Why Does Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) not Do Injustice?
The root of injustice is usually either ignorance, or fear, or need, or greed, etc, but Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD),
Who is the Self-Sufficient, Omniscient, and Glorified, does not do injustice.
Moreover, Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)   has enjoined people to equity and goodness Himself, then how does He do injustice?
Yet, His reward is manifold: (ten-fold, hundred-fold, or more).

41. "How will it be, then, when We bring from every people a witness
And we bring you a witness over those (witnesses
Here content of this verse, which refers to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) Messenger of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), as a witness over the Ummah,
has also occurred in some other verses of the Qur'an (such as: Sura Al-Baqarah, No.2, verse 143, Sura An-Nahl, No.16, verse 89, and Sura Al-Hajj, No.22, verse 78).
Whenever Ibn-Masud recited this verse to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam),
The tears of the Messenger of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) would shed. (Narrated from Sahih-i-Bukhari, Tirmidhi, and Nisa'i )
Allah does not need, of course, to bring any witnesses, but human beings are in a condition that the more they feel the presence of witnesses, the more effective it is for strengthening their training and their piety.
As the verses of the Qur'an indicate, there are many sorts of witnesses in the Hereafter; among them are: Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD): "Verily Allah is a witness over all things!" [3] The prophets: the above verse, [4] the immaculate Imams: "And thus have we made you an Ummah of middling stand that you may be witnesses over mankind ...” [5]; the angels: "And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness." [6]; the earth: "On that Day, she will recount (all) her news:"[7]; the time: A tradition says that: every day the time addresses man by saying: "I am a new day and I am a witness over you" [8]; and the limbs of the body: "On the Day when their tongues and their hands and their feet shall bear witness against them as to what they did." [9] And, again, we should be aware that the day of Resurrection is the Day on which the witnesses will stand forth: "on the day when shall stand forth the witnesses." [10

  1. Prophets are some examples for people in the world and the witnesses over them in the Hereafter.
  2. It is Allah's way of treatment that the prophet of every nation be a witness over that nation.
After the departure of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) there should be someone with the same qualities of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) to be witness over people.

Hypocrisy As Viewed by the Qur'an:
Since hypocrisy is more dangerous than infidelity,
Thus the Qur'an has discussed hypocrisy more than infidelity.
In its Chapter 13, the Glorious Qur'an refers to hypocrisy and hypocrites in various forms. Besides,
The Chapter 63 of the Qur'an has been named as `Munafeqeen' (Hypocrites) In order to indicate the importance of paying due attention to this abominable tendency.
The fact that the Qur'an talks about the hypocrites time and again, Is because it intends to warn the believers against the plots of hypocrites who may infiltrate among the believers.
It may be inferred here that the issue of hypocrisy was not confined to the early stages of Islam.
Hypocrites are present at all times in all societies
And pretend to be one with the Muslims While they are waiting to strike from the back as soon as they find an opportunity.
Thus, hypocrites are even more dangerous to society than known enemies,
Since it is not easy to spot, recognize or distinguish these internal enemies from the other members of society.
It is for this very reason that Islam and Muslims have suffered the most at the hands of the hypocrites.
And again it is for this very reason that the Qur'an has attacked them severely, even more than the enemy.
Here, let us take a note of the following Quranic verses:
"They are the enemy, therefore, beware of them; may Allah destroy them, whence they are turned back." (63:4)
"Now surely they themselves are the mischief makers, but they do not perceive." (2:12)
"Surely the hypocrites are in the lowest stage of the fire, and you shall not find a helper for them." (4:145)

One of the worst characteristics that Islam abhors is hypocrisy.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam): spoke about it several times,
And every time he used some graphic description that showed how ugly and unbecoming all types of hypocrisy were.
Two Hadith in this connection are particularly interesting.
The first is put very simply by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam):
Who wanted his audience to fully understand his purpose.
He said: “One of the worst people is a double-faced man,
Who come to one group with one face and to another group with a totally different face?
” (-Bukhari).

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam): describes a hypocrite person as double-faced,
And then he explains why he has described him as such, showing him as though he actually had two faces.
If there are two groups with some differences, or dispute,
He would speak to each one in a way that would please them,
And say to one group the opposite of what he says to the other.
Hence, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam): Says that such a person is one of the worst types of people.
This is certainly true, because such a person could not be a man of faith who fears Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD). As such, he always seeks what he thinks to serve his immediate interests, knowing that this will mean that he lies to both groups and at least one of them.

A similar Hadith is reported by Ammar ibn Yasir,
An early companion of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam):,
Who quotes him as saying?
“Whoever is double-faced in this life will have two tongues of fire in the hereafter.”
A big man then passed by and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam): said:
“This is one of them.” (-Bukhari in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, - Abu Dawood, and others).
Here the Prophet gives a more graphic description of hypocrites.
The description concentrates on the hypocrite’s tongue,
Because it is with his words that he tries to cheat people and get the better of them.
He always says to his interlocutors what would please them, so that he is included in their good books.
He does not care if what he says is untrue, because all that he cares for is his own interest.

Because a hypocrite relies on lying, thinking that he could lie his way out of any difficulty,
Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) gives him two tongues on the Day of Judgment, but both are made of fire.
This is a horrid picture, but very apt for such a person.
One thing every hypocrite lacks is a sense of shame.
When he does something against the morality of society,
He does not feel ashamed because he thinks that he can still get away with it, saying a few words to please this person and a few others to please someone else.
That his words are lies does not trouble him. He has no sense of shame.
But this sense is one that all divine messages try to promote.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam): says:
“Among the words people received from early prophets are:
If you feel no shame, then do as you wish.” (Bukhari, Abu Dawood, Ibn Majah, Ahmad and others).
This Hadith admits more than one interpretation.
The first is that if you feel you will not be ashamed for doing what you intend to do
Because you can justify it as correct and there is nothing in it to be ashamed of,
Then you may go ahead and do it without hesitation.
It may be that what you are about to do is something right,
Although some people may prefer that you do not do it.
Since you are sure that it is just and fair,
Then you have nothing to answer for as a result of doing it.
You are perfectly entitled to do it.
If we prefer this interpretation of this Hadith, then it is important to examine
What we intend to do before embarking on it.
If we find it to be perfectly acceptable and we are clear in our conscience that it is right for us to do,
Then that is all we need to ascertain in order to proceed with it.
Secondly, the Hadith may be taken to mean that if a person is incapable of any feeling of shame,
And could not care less whether he brought shame on himself,
His family or his people, then there is nothing to stop him from doing what is censurable.
If we take this interpretation of the Hadith, then we observe that it is phrased in the imperative,
But it is meant as a reproach.
It could also be said that the Hadith means that having no sense of shame is much worse than what one may actually do.
It is important to know what may be included in having a proper sense of shame.
Some people suggest that a shy person is incapable of confronting others with the truth he knows.
As a result, he does not fulfill his duty to enjoin what is right and to speak out against what is wrong.
His shyness may even lead him to the non-fulfillment of certain rights or duties.
Such an attitude is not what is meant in having a sense of shame in the above-mentioned Hadith.
This is simply a manifestation of weakness.
A proper sense of shame is that which causes a person to feel afraid of being blamed for something unbecoming.
It may also lead a person to forgo what rightfully belongs to him because he is too shy to demand it.
Hence the virtue Islam values highly is to feel ashamed as a result of a wrong that one may do,
To be afraid of blame for committing something unbecoming,
And to be too modest to demand something for oneself if people may think that such a demand is made for a personal gain.
It is such modesty that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) describes as being part of faith.

Abdullah ibn Umar RadiAllahu anhu reports that Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)’s messenger (peace be on him) passed by a man who was blaming his brother for being too modest.
The Prophet said to him: “Leave him alone. Modesty is a characteristic of faith.”... (-Bukhari, Muslim, At-Tirmidhi and others).
Apparently the man who was being blamed was too modest to claim what rightfully belongs to him.
It may be very difficult to change his attitude.
Many a person lends money to another for a specific period of time.
When the term of the loan is over, the borrower may take his time before settling his debt.
The lender may be in need of the money, but his modesty prevents him from demanding repayment.
His difficulty in requesting repayment is greater than that of the borrower in asking for the loan in the first place.

We notice that  the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) has counseled this man to leave his brother alone
Making it clear to him that such modesty
And having a sense of shame is indicative of strong faith.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)’s statement makes it clear
That although modesty may prevent a person from demanding his rights,
It remains a virtue for which no one should be blamed.
It is true that a modest person may not get his rights,
But by forgoing them, he is sure to receive a much greater reward from Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).
It should be added here that the Prophet himself was a very modest person.
He is described to have had a more refined sense of shame than a virgin in her private room.
..............Exposing the Chief of the Hypocrites
Hypocrisy and hypocrites first appeared in the history of Islam when the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) migrated from Mecca to Medina and strengthened the pillars of Islam. Under such conditions, it was impossible for the unbelievers to express their animosity towards Islam.
Thus, in order to carry out their destructive plans and plots, they pretended to embrace Islam.
Abdullah ibn-e Ubai was the most prominent of the people of Medina, before the arrival of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) in this city.
The people of Medina had agreed to appoint him as their king in order to finish the long-existing feud between the two tribes of `Aus' and `Khazraj'.
While the preparation for his kingship were in progress, a group of people from Medina who were in contact with Mecca,
Met the Noble Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and after embracing Islam,
They requested him to send someone to Medina to propagate Islam.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) appointed Mus'ab Ibn-e Umair for the task and sent him to Medina.
A large number of the people of Medina thus embraced Islam Thereby creating favorable conditions for the migration of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) to Medina.
Thus the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) migration changed the course of the history of Medina
And Abdullah Ibn-e Ubai's hopes for becoming the king of Medina were destroyed completely.
Therefore, he became very spiteful towards Islam, however, since most of the people of Medina had embraced Islam,
He pretended to have converted to Islam. But, Islam had never really touched his heart.
Abdullah Ibn-e Ubai never waged an open war against the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and never started a civil war.
Instead he resorted to creating internal disturbances within the various sections of society.
He remained alive for years after the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) arrival in Medina and died during the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) lifetime.
After his death, the following Quranic verse was revealed by Almighty Allah:
"And never offer prayer for anyone of them who dies and do not stand by his grave;
Surely they disbelieve in Allah and His Apostle and they shall die in transgression." (9:84)
The above verse clearly referred to the likes of Abdullah ibn-e Ubai
And all the major interpreters of the Qur'an undisputedly consider him as one of the biggest hypocrites of all times.
Let us now review the incidents which go on to prove the evil intentions in the heart of Abdullah ibn-e Ubai:
1. It has been recorded that at the time of a war with the Romans, Abdullah ibn-e Ubai
And a group of hypocrites as well as their allies made a separate camp in a place called `Zobab',
That was separate from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) camp and did not accompany him.
Just one day before the outbreak of the holy war (jihad), Abdullah ibn-e Ubai returned to Medina along with his companions saying:
"Muhammad wants to fight the Romans in this hot weather and far away from Medina.
He thinks fighting the Romans is like child's play. I swear by Allah that I can see his companions being taken captives tomorrow."
2. Prior to the Battle of Uhud, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) gathered the people of Medina in the mosque and said:
"If you all agree we will stay in Medina and leaving the enemy put from where they arrive.
If they stay there they will be in trouble and if they attack Medina we shall fight with them."
Abdullah ibn-e Ubai too said the same thing.
However, the young people who had not participated in the Battle of Badr
And were looking forward for martyrdom (shahadat) disagreed and they said:
"O Prophet of Allah! Take us to the enemy lest they think we are afraid."
As a result of their insistence, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) decided to move out and left Medina with 1,000 people on a Friday.
Abdullah ibn-e Ubai returned to Medina, half way to Uhud, taking with him one-third of the people, saying:
"The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) listened to the youth and ignored our suggestions.
O people! We do not know as to why we have to put ourselves to swords."
Abdullah Ibn-e Amr ibn-e Haram (from the Bani Salameh tribe) followed them and said:
"Fear Allah and do not leave the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and your tribe alone in this war."
They replied: "If we knew that there would be a war we would not have abandoned you.
However, we know that there will not be any war."
3. Ibn-e Ishaq narrates that during the Battle of Bani Mustalaq, Jahjah Ibn-e Masud Ghaffari and Sanan Ibn- Wabayahni began a fight over water.
Sanan asked the Ansars for help and Jahjah went to Mohajers.
A war was about to take place, but some people from the Mohajers and Ansars mediated and ended the fight.
Abdullah Ibn-e Ubai took advantage of the situation and tried to instigate the people of his tribe and said:
"They are trying to be our masters in our own land. We have brought it on ourselves.
I swear by God that our position has become like the saying that says: `breed a dog to eat up you.'"
"I swear by GOD that when we return to Medina we, the nobles of Medina, Shall throw these wretched Mohajers out. You have brought it upon yourselves.
You supported them and shared with them whatever you had.
I swear by GOD that if you had not received them,
They would have gone elsewhere."
Zaid Ibn-e Arqram reported the incident to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam).
Omar R.A. was present and requested the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) to order Ebad Ibn-e Bashar to kill Abdullah Ibn-e Ubai.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said: "How can I issue such an order?
People shall then say that Muhammad kills his companions!"
Then the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) ordered the troops to march forward.
Asid came to him and enquired about this untimely move.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said:
"Don't you know about the turmoil which Abdullah Ibn-e Ubai has created?"
Abdullah Ibn-e Ubai came to know about Zaid Ibn- Arqram reporting to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)
And went to him the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and swore that he had not uttered these words.
Since he was respected among his tribesmen, they came to his support and said:
"Perhaps this boy (Zaid Ibn-e Arqram) is making a mistake and does not remember Abdullah's words well enough!"
Thereupon life became difficult for Zaid and everyone scorned him.
However, soon thereafter, the Chapter "Al-Munafeqoon" was revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), which says:
"They say: `If we return to Medina, the mighty will surely drive out the meaner there from; and to Allah belongs the might and to His Apostle and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.” (63:8)

Accusing the Wife of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam):
Once, while returning from Bani Mustalaq,
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) camped at a place for a while
And in the middle of the night, he ordered his companions to move towards Medina.
Aishah Radi-Allahu anha, the wife of the Prophet the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) left the camp to relieve herself
And on return she realized that she had lost her valuable necklace and began to search for it and was thus left behind.
She joined the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) after a delay, Along with Safwan Radi-Allahu anhu who was bringing along the people who were left behind.
The hypocrite’s waged accusations on Aishah RadiAllahu anha in order to defame the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) until the following Quranic verses were finally revealed:
"Surely they who concocted the lie are a party from among you. Do not regard it an evil to you; nay, it is good for you.
Every man of them shall have what he has earned of sin; and (as for) him who took upon himself the main part thereof,
He shall have a grievous chastisement.
Why did not the believing men and the believing women, when you heard it, think well of their own people, and say:
`This is an evident of falsehood?” (24:11-12)
In this way the Glorious Qur'an awakened the Muslims and the faithful
And warned them against those: who pretend to having accepted Islam only in order to pursue their dangerous designs.
The Qur'an exposed to the people that Ubai's move was not an unintentional one but was in fact a calculated move
With the aim of defaming the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), that was aborted.
These verses came to be revealed only 40 days after the above-mentioned incident, putting things in their right perspective.
However, Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) alone knows what the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)
And his close companions went through during those 40 days of false accusation and speculation.
The outcome of this incident of course was to the best interests of the Muslims in many ways.
This is because it revealed to the Muslim society, its hidden enemies,
As well as made the position of the true believers clear.
Moreover, it taught the Muslims the lesson those in times of peace,
True believers and the hypocrites are undistinguishable from one another.
However, the moment the society faces any kind of uncertainty or hardship,
The hypocrites lay the biggest blows on Islam. Thus, the hidden evil within the society is laid clearly unexposed

Just as truthfulness is the very cornerstone of the upright person’s character and the springboard for his virtuousness,
Falsehood, its opposite, is the foundation of a person’s depravity and the launch pad for his wickedness.
Just as the truthfulness of a person starts from within - that is, it is a reflection of a state of true faith
- A person’s dishonesty, lying and deceit is also a reflection of the inner state.
This is why Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) mentions truthfulness as being the opposite of hypocrisy:
“That Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) may reward the truthful for their truthfulness,
And punish the hypocrites if He wills, or turn mercifully towards them...” (Qur’an 33:24)

…and why He mentions sincerity as a mark of truthfulness.
“So that Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) might recompense the truthful for their truthfulness….”
Little wonder then that the most righteous and truthful of people, the Prophets of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)
And their true followers, were not belied, denounced, opposed, oppressed and rejected except by those who were given to dishonesty, deceit and hypocrisy.
“It is only those who believe not in the Signs of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), who fabricate falsehood, and it is they who are the liars.” (Qur’an 16:105)
That is regards to falsehood in faith.  As for falsehood in deed, Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) states in the Qur’an.
“...that He may try you, which of you is the best in deeds.” (Qur’an 67:2)
This verse, explaining:
“‘Which of you Is the best in deeds’ means ‘the most sincere and correct.’
If the deed is sincere and not correct, it will not be accepted,
And if it is correct and not sincere, it will not be accepted.
It will not be accepted until it is both sincere and correct!”
One everyday example of where sincerity and correction of action
Are often subverted by falsehood is in the buying and selling of goods.
Hence we find the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) saying:
“If they (two parties meeting to trade) are truthful and clarify (any and all deficiency in their goods),
Their transaction will be blessed.  But if they lie and conceal (any deficiency in their goods),
The blessings of their transaction will be eradicated.”
And what of falsehood in speech?  Falsehood of the tongue,
Or what is more commonly referred to as lying, is a characteristic roundly rejected by the entire world
– Even if its inhabitants may fall into it from time to time.  After all,
If Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) would punish his last and greatest Prophet in case he were to lie…
....“If he the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) had invented false sayings concerning us,
We would surely have grasped him firmly, and then cut off the artery of his heart,
And none of you could have withheld Us from doing this.” (Qur’an 69:44-7)
…then how could lying be acceptable from anyone else besides His Prophet?!
And he, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), the Truthful One, said:
“A slave’s faith will not be upright until his heart is upright,
And his heart will not be upright until his tongue is upright, and a man whose neighbor is not safe from his harm will not enter Paradise.”
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“A person lies and lies, until he is written with Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) as a habitual liar.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)
Thus, the habitual liar is despised, truly and thoroughly despised,
By all – even his own kind – as no-one can trust a liar, not even other liars.
And just as clarity in speech is a sign of truthfulness,
So then ambiguity, innuendo, sarcasm and every other form of deception
And trickery of the tongue is denounced in Islam.
Even lying in jest has been condemned by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)
When he said:
“I guarantee a house in the middle of Paradise for the one who leaves off lying even if it be in jest.”
...and his saying:
“Woe to the person who lies to make people laugh!  Woe to him, woe to him!”

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)’s closest friend and immediate temporal successor,
Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq Radi-Allahu anhu (i.e. the truthful - so named by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) due to the truthfulness of his faith), further said:

“Beware of lying, for lying opposes (true) faith."
And the daughter of Abu Bakr RadiAllahu anhu, Aishah Radi-Allahu anha, who was the beloved wife of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), mentioned that:
“There was no trait more abhorrent to the Messenger of God, may the mercy and blessings of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) be upon him, than lying.”
Suffice as deterrence from lying is its being listed as a trait of that most wretched of conditions: hypocrisy.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“The signs of the hypocrite are three: when he speaks he lies; when he makes an oath he breaks it;
And when he is entrusted with something he betrays that trust.”
Not only do we learn about the abhorrence of directly lying itself,
But Islam also mercifully educates us as to the dangers of all that which indirectly leads to lying.

Again from Aishah RadiAllahu anha we learn that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) would invoke his Lord, praying:
“O Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)!  I seek refuge with you from all sins, and from being in debt.”
When asked: “O Messenger of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)!
You frequently seek refuge with Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) from being in debt!”
The Prophet of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) replied: “If a person is in debt, he tells lies when he speaks, and breaks his promises when he promises.”
In the same vain, The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) explicitly ordered his followers:
“Leave that which causes you doubt for that which does not cause you doubt.
For in truthfulness lies tranquility, and in lying lies doubt.”
....Striving for truthfulness then, in spirit, word and deed,
Is a matter which requires the utmost steadfastness from the believer?
As well as the utmost vigilance against the dangers of falsehood, insincerity, deceit and hypocrisy:
...“That Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) will reward the People of Truth for their truth,
And punish the hypocrites if that be His Will, or turn to them in Mercy;
For Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Qur’an 33:24)
..Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) says:
“Do not imagine that those who are joyful with what they have done
And love to be praised for that which they did not do
– do not imagine them to be safe from punishment
 – and theirs is a painful punishment.”  (Surah al-Imran 3:188)

Oh how difficult to be in this world and work, But not for the world but for the pleasure of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).
May we keep our hearts for Him?
If I said anything correct, then it is from Allah (Subhanahu WA Ta’aala),
And if I erred, then that is from me and Shaitan.
May Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) make us from the Companions of His Book and unite us with His righteous slaves in the highest gardens of Paradise. Amen.
May Allah Subhanahu wata`aalaa grant us what is best in this world and the next!
Action speaks louder then words my friend’s practice Islam the way of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) did.
May Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) help us to do that which He loves and which pleases Him?
May Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) make our efforts sincere and keep us all on the straight path...........
