.....We preach piety but we ourselves don't practice it......
Surely the hypocrites strive to deceive Allah, and He shall requite their deceit to them, and when they stand up to prayer they stand up sluggishly; they do it only to be seen of men and do not remember Allah save a little. (Quote by - Quran)

Then why is a youth of Islam lying.
Whether the practice of giving the khutba in English is acceptable.
The sermon is given in English because it is the common language understood by those who attend. This is the proper way. Unfortunately, in most mosques in the UK, and other places as well, the sermon is given in Arabic or Punjabi, Urdu, when only a small percentage of the audience understands it.( This is a good one read) It is often the case that the imam himself does not understand Arabic. He reads the sermon from a book, and makes it very short. In most cases, it is given in less than four minutes. Ninety percent of the audience could not understand a word. Even Arabic-speaking people might not understand because of the speed with which it is delivered. This is a poor reflection on the status of the Muslims today. Wherever the community does not speak Arabic, the sermon should be in its own language. Thus, it should be delivered in English, French, Turkish or Urdu or Malay, etc. etc. according to what is spoken locally. (Good communication should be the base of every society,)
Islam requires the Muslim community to hold the midday prayer on Friday in congregation, and that it should be preceded by a speech in which the imam discusses some issues that are important to the community, the general situation of the Muslims, and reminds his audience of their duties to God, and the Day of Judgment. For the congregation to benefit by the khutba, or the sermon, it must be delivered in a language they understand. If the congregation, or a clear majority, is composed of people who do not speak Arabic, what benefit would they have if the imam gives his sermon in Arabic? The very purpose of the sermon will be defeated. (InshaAllah More On: imam’s khutba :).
The prohibition of lying.
In our every day life. We claim to be Muslims and unhesitatingly say that we are proud to follow it, but when it comes to putting our words into actions, unfortunately, we are far from it. We teach our children one thing but we do another. We preach piety but we ourselves don't practice it.
We lie in our everyday lives and in our dealings with everyone yet we are totally unaware of it.
We sometimes lie without even meaning to do it! Like if an annoying neighbour calls on the phone and you tell your child to say that you are in the shower or otherwise indisposed so you don’t get stuck on the phone for an hour. That’s a lie.
One of the worst forms of lying in which a Muslim can engage is to be phony about his/her Islam. Al-Hassan Al-Basri, an early taabi’i, was a famous waa’idh (preacher) who could bring large numbers of people to tears in moments. No one doubted his piety buy himself. He used to go to his home every night after doing whatever good Allah knows for Islam and tremble in fear that his actions may not measure up to his words. He did this in true contemplation and understanding of Allah’s statement:

These hadith clearly tell us that lying or truthfulness is character traits. They are habit-forming, are “slippery slopes” and are not something that any human can turn on and off at will. One who is a liar to people will also be a liar to Allah and vice versa. That is why a Muslim must take utmost precaution and steps against ANY form of lying, deception or falsehood whether with/about Allah or with/about people.
{Yaa Ayyuha alladhi Na amanu Lima taquloo na maa laa taf’aloona? (2) Kabura maqtan ‘inda Allahi an taquloo maa laa taf’aloona. (3)}
{O, you who believe, why do you say that which you do not do? (2) It is very hateful to Allah that you would say that which you do not do.} As-Saff: 2-3
‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar (R.A) that the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) said,
“Four traits if found together in a person make him a hypocrite. Whoever has one of these, possesses one of the hypocritical characteristics until he renounces it: When he speaks, he lies; when he draws a contract, he breaches it, when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and he abuses his opponents in time of dispute.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

The source of this knowledge is Allah (via the Qur’an) and His Messenger (via the authentic hadith). There is no other route to this knowledge and the knowledge was sent by Allah is being preserved by Allah. Al-hamdu lillaahi! The knowledge is there for the seeking until yawmil Qiyamah. The previous nations did not get this. There were put in charge of preserving their messages and they lost them all. Allah himself took charge of preserving the message of Islam – even if that was actually carried out by human means. Allah said:
{Al-Haqqu min rabbika fa laa takun min al-mumtareena (60) Fa man haajjaka Fihi min ba’di maa jaa’aka min al-’ilm fa Qul ta’aalau nad’u abnaa’anaa wa abnaa’akum wa nisaa’anaa wa nisaa’akum wa anfusanaa wa anfusakum thumma nabtahil fa naj’al la’nata Allahi ‘alaa al-kaadhibeena. (61)}
{The truth is from your Lord so do not be among those who doubt. (60) Then, if anyone disputes with you about it after that knowledge which has come to you, simply say to them: Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves and let us make a solemn prayer and invoke Allah’s curse upon whoever is lying. (61) Aal ‘Imran: 60-61
This includes lying about Allah’s laws (the Sharia) and speaking about what is Halaal and what is haram without authentic knowledge from Allah and/or from His Messenger (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam. Allah said:
In addition to lying about Allah being one of the greatest sins and a cause of punishment in the hereafter, in the above verses, we see that:
Material gain is one of the motives for which people commit it.
People who commit this will never succeed.
They may get “goods” (mataa’) in this life, but will only eventually return to Allah and be severely punished.
What they did was kufr.
Dishonesty in your business dealings as well as in your interaction with others is lying.
Giving false witness is one of the gravest forms of lying.
Making a false claim that your injury happened at work, although it didn't, so that you could get compensation is lying.
Pretending to be of low income and applying for government aid, although you are not in need of it, is another form of lying and deception.
Forging or altering university certificates to get a job or visa, is just plain and simple, lying and fraud.
Paper marriages to get a green card, altering a bill to 'save' some money or for insurance purposes or some other kind of personal gain is also trickery and deceit.
We also forget that any apparent 'gain' that we get from all these forms of lying is not actually any gain at all.
Actually, any money that we earn or save is all haram because we didn't earn it lawfully. And it is one of the reasons why dua is rejected by Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala.
Material gain is one of the motives for which people commit it.
People who commit this will never succeed.
They may get “goods” (mataa’) in this life, but will only eventually return to Allah and be severely punished.
What they did was wrong.
It is never beneficial, even if it appears to be so in the short run.
“Beware of lying. Whenever you think it will benefit you, it only harms you.”
Remember the Hadith of the Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi wasallam):
"Then he mentioned a man who had been traveling for a long time and was disheveled and dusty; he stretches out his hands towards the heavens and says, 'O Lord, O Lord', but his food is haram, his drink is haram, his clothing is haram. He is nourished by haram, so how can his du'aa' be accepted?" (Muslim)
Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) was known as “Siddiq” The Truthful even before he was made the Nabi. The sahabas (ra) used to say that they did not know what a lie was! Meaning they never lied. So it is possible to stop lying. All we need to do is make a conscious effort and learn the importance of telling the truth.
Why we should not lie:
At the start of Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah has informed us about three types of people and their characteristics:
Muttaqeen (Those who save themselves from sin, hell and Allah’s anger)
• They believe on Ghaib (unseen).

Beware of treachery in your worship
A Munafiq is one whose apparent external reality is Islam, belief, practice of Islam, etc. but whose inner reality is disbelief and evil intent toward Islam and the Muslims. It is NOT simply “hypocrisy” (which covers many things which are not “Nifaaq”) and that is a very inadequate and misleading of the term. The character flaw possessed by a Munafiq is called “Nifaaq”. Nifaaq negates Islam even if one is “practicing” in the apparent
“Aayatu al-munaafiqi thalaathun WA in salla WA Sama wa za’ama anna hu Muslim: idhaa haddatha kadhiba, wa idhaa wa’ada akhlafa wa idhaa ‘tumina khaan.”

A truthful person is held in reverence among people in his life and after his death. He is the object of their confidence and praise and they supplicate to Allah to bestow His mercy upon him after his death.
O Muslims! Beware of treachery in your worship of Allah! Do not blemish your worship by showing off, pretence and hypocrisy. Beware of deceit in your adherence to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him); do not introduce innovations in his Sunnah and do not contradict his line of conduct. Beware of falsehood in your treatment with other people; do not tell lies, rather, tell the truth and only the truth. A believer can never be a liar, since dishonesty is a quality of the hypocrites.
Allah the Almighty says that which means:
“… And Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars.” (Al-Munaafiqoon: 1)

{Say, verily those who forge lies upon Allah never succeed. (69) Some provision in this world but unto us is their return and then we will make them taste the severe punishment for the kufr which they used to commit. (70)} Yunus: 69-70
A believer can never tell lies because he believes in the signs of Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him), and he believes in the Prophet’s saying:
“Falsehood leads to Al-Fujoor (i.e. wickedness, evil-doing), and Al-Fujoor leads to the Hellfire, and a man will keep on telling lies until he is written off by Allah as a liar.”
How awful is falsehood and how base is the rank of the liars! Falsehood leads to wickedness, which is the deviation from the straightforward path, which in turn leads to the Fire of Hell, and woe to the denizens of Hell! A liar is mean-spirited, since he is notorious for falsehood in the sight of Allah. How ugly is the description of falsehood, which is always avoided and feared to be known about among people. How can a person feel any peace of mind while he is branded as a liar in the sight of Allah? A liar is always doubted by people, who often suspect his statements and transactions and even dispraise him after his death.
In the Qur’an, Allah mentions falsehood alongside idolatry when He says that which means:
“… So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement.” (Al-Hajj: 30).
In addition to lying about Allah being one of the greatest sins and a cause of punishment in the hereafter, in the above verses, we see that:
Whether you call them white lies, fibs, half-truths or exaggerations, lying is lying.
Lying causes anxiety, depression and physical illness. You constantly worry your lies will be revealed. Keeping your stories straight requires a lot of work.
After you lie to someone, you may not like being around that person. Lies ruin friendships, work relationships and marriages.
If someone catches you lying, he or she won't easily believe you again. Your status in that person's eyes drops to zero.
Because you tell the truth, you don't have to remember what you said to whom. You won't accidentally contradict yourself.
You earn the reputation as an honest person. If you are a manager, your staff members tell each other, "Our boss might be more honest about your work than you sometimes want to hear, but it's better to know the truth."
. People follow your example and are more truthful to you.
Your stress level drops. You sleep better, eat better and look better.
You can look at yourself in the mirror. Lying causes self-criticism and depression. Honesty causes self-confidence and pride.
You are more persuasive. To be persuasive, you need to be believable. To be believable, you must be truthful.
. Best of all, you are trustworthy. When people can trust you, you earn their support. You need peoples' support to reach your goals.
Any lie, no matter how well-fabricated, has a truth somewhere to counter it. That means that for every lie, there exists a small percentage chance that it will be discovered as false. While an individual lie generally goes unnoticed, a series of lies that build upon one another also increase that percentage chance to be discovered. The more a person gets used to lying, the more likely they will be to get caught in a lie.
Once a person is caught lying, it is rarely the first time they have done so. It begs the question regarding the number of times they have already lied before this incident.
Fear Allah, O Muslims, with regard to yourselves, your community and your religion! Do you not know that a religion is reflected and represented by its followers? If the Islamic nation is distinguished by falsehood, blind imitation, and seizing of the properties of others unlawfully, then where will the true Islamic characteristics are? If Muslims are to appear with such disgraceful characteristics then is this not a means of keeping people away from the religion of Islam? This will mean that Muslims will be held in contempt by their enemies, who will feel superior when they realize that the Muslims are adopting their indecencies and bad morals which are condemned by Islam. What a disgrace for those who followed the way of those destined to ruin and kept themselves away from the path of those on whom Allah conferred His favors to - the prophets, the trustworthy, the martyrs and the righteous!
Praise truthfulness. Parents should make every effort to praise their children when they are being honest. Behavior that is praised is much more likely to be repeated.
"Trustworthiness is a highly esteemed commodity*. When one has it, one is considered valuable. When one has lost it, one may be considered worthless." (Commodity: something useful or valuable)
We can say, without any doubt that, lying is one of the most evil characteristics, of which all religions and systems of ethics warn against and which man's innate common sense (Fitra) agrees that it is wrong. Any who possess normal chivalry and sound reason would also be obliged the same.
Think before you say something about others. Be very cautious and extremely careful while making comments about a person in his absence. Avoid suspicion and mistrust and think good of people. May Allah clean our hearts, and enable us to watch our tongue and our acts, Amen

This will mean that Muslims will be held in contempt by their enemies, who will feel superior when they realize that the Muslims are adopting their indecencies and bad morals which are condemned by Islam. What a disgrace for those who followed the way of those destined to ruin and kept themselves away from the path of those on whom Allah conferred His favors to - the prophets, the trustworthy, the martyrs and the righteous!
Praise truthfulness. Parents should make every effort to praise their children when they are being honest. Behavior that is praised is much more likely to be repeated.
"Trustworthiness is a highly esteemed commodity*. When one has it, one is considered valuable. When one has lost it, one may be considered worthless." (Commodity: something useful or valuable)
We can say, without any doubt that, lying is one of the most evil characteristics, of which all religions and systems of ethics warn against and which man's innate common sense (Fitra) agrees that it is wrong. Any who possess normal chivalry and sound reason would also be obliged the same.
Think before you say something about others. Be very cautious and extremely careful while making comments about a person in his absence. Avoid suspicion and mistrust and think good of people. May Allah clean our hearts, and enable us to watch our tongue and our acts, Amen
May Allah make our efforts sincere and keep us all on the straight path...........

The start of the Way is The will [or spiritual desire, irâdah] and it is accompanied by spiritual battles.
.....................Allah Almighty is our friend..........................
It is mentioned in the Qur'an that Allah chooses His Awliyâ (singular 'Wali' ling. meaning Friend) from His slaves based upon their righteousness.
Allah mentioned the characteristics of His Wali saying: "Verily, Awliyâ of Allah are those who are not overcome by fear of grief; they are those who believe and have Taqwa." [Surah Yunus (10): 62-63]
And: "Verily, His close friends (Awliyâ) are only those with Taqwa but most of them do not realize it." [Surah al-Anfaal (8): 34] Thus, a Wali of Allah is he, who has Iman, Taqwa and fear of Allah.
"Your (real) friends are Allah (God), His Apostle Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam,), and the (fellowship of) believers, - those who establish regular prayers and regular charity, and they bow down humbly (in worship). (The Noble Quran, 5:55)"
"Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to Allah (God), does well, and follows the way of Abraham the true in Faith? For Allah (God) did take Abraham for a friend. (The Noble Quran, 4:125)"
Allah Almighty is close and He listens to our prayers: "When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me: Let them also, with a will, Listen to My call, and believe in Me: That they may walk in the right way. (The Noble Quran, 2:186)"
If you are loved by people, then Allah Almighty loves you:
Narrated Abu Huraira: "Allah's Apostle said, 'If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel, saying, 'Allah loves so and so, O Gabriel love him' So Gabriel would love him and then would make an announcement in the Heavens: 'Allah has loved so and-so therefore you should love him also.' So all the dwellers of the Heavens would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on the earth.' (Sahih Bukhari,)

• The middle of the Way is love [for Allah alone, mahabbah) and it is accompanied by miraculous graces (Karamat).
• The end of the Way is gnosis [direct intellectual intuitive knowledge, ma`rifah) and it is accompanied by contemplation (of the divine - mushâhadât).
The above mentioned evokes the closeness or proximity between the Wali and his Rabb (Lord). (“But insofar as walâya applies to Allah, it is also nus.ra, the divine Assistance from which” he benefits and which has been promised. SIA42) Also it is clear that the 'way of knowledge' is not opposed from the 'way of love', they really are merely different aspects in Islamic Tasawwuf, as every "Wali is both an `arif (knower) and a muhibb (lover)."

Call on your Lord humbly and secretly. He does not love those who overstep the limits. Do not corrupt the earth after it has been put right. Call on Him fearfully and eagerly. Allah's mercy is close to the good-doers. (Surat al-Araf: 55-56)
Never forget that Allah is the Lord of all of humanity, including you, and that He is your only friend and helper. Therefore, never forget that when you ask for anything, ask it first from Him.
Prayer is one of the most important acts of worship to draw us nearer to Allah. By their very nature, all people feel the need to perform this act of worship. However, while it is a necessary and desirable part of believers' lives, a disbeliever resorts to it only in times of distress. The latter may not be accepted by Allah, since what is most commendable is to ask help from Allah both in times of ease as in difficulty, that is, in every moment of our lives. That is because; the one who prays to Allah is the person who acknowledges his weakness in Allah's sight, and his inability of accomplishing anything unless it is by His Will.
Prayer is accompanied by submission to Allah. One who prays attributes all outcomes, whether easy or trying, to the Creator and Ruler of the universe. The acknowledgment that the solution of a problem, or the prevention of an undesirable circumstance, rests with Almighty Allah, is a source of relief and confidence for a believer. For, praying only to Allah, and taking Him as one's sole friend, instills a sense of security in a believer.
Even as the fingers of the two hands are equal, so are human beings equal to one another. No one has any right, nor any preference to claim over another. You are brothers. (Final Sermon of Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam). )
Do not turn away a poor man...even if all you can give is half a date. If you love the poor and bring them near you...Allah (God) will bring you near Him on the Day of Resurrection.
(Each one) of you should save himself from the fire by giving even half of a date (in charity). (And if you can’t find a half date) offer a kind word a smile (to your brethren).

Five kinds of animals are mischief-doers and can be killed even in the Sanctuary: They are the rat, the scorpion, the kite, the crow and the rabid dog.
Hadith - Bukhari 4:531, Narrated ‘Aisha (R.A)
“The Friends of Allah and the Righteous are the very purpose of all that exists (al-awliyâ WA al-salihun hum al-maqsud min al-kawn), they are those who learned and practiced with the reality of knowledge... “Allah (God) does not judge you according to your bodies and appearances, but He looks into your hearts and observes your deeds."
“I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for."
Narrated by 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (R.A.): Sahih Al-Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 1, Number 1:
Taqwa alone is the criterion of greatness in the Sight of Allah
Allah says: "O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has Taqwa (God-consciousness, fearing Allah). Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware." [Surah al-Hujurat (49): 13]
Allah has erased all distinctions of racism, cast and color and made all human beings equal. He has established a unique criterion for greatness and that is Taqwa. Taqwa is the essence of the teachings of Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam).
Whenever Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wa-sallam) sent his Sahabas on a military expedition, he would advice them to have deep-rooted Taqwa of Allah and he would also advise the rest of his military party likewise.
You have no other truer friend besides Him! He created you and He is the only one with your best interests. The only one who truly loves you best! He knows the intentions of your heart
Taqwa is a means by which a believer performs righteous deeds and Taqwa causes the righteous deed to be accepted by Allah.
Allah says: "O you who believe! Have Taqwa (fear) of Allah and always speak the truth. He will direct you to do righteous and correct actions and will forgive you your sins and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has indeed attained a great achievement." [Surah al-Ahzab (33): 70]
And: "Verily Allah accepts only from those who are the muttaqoon (those who posses Taqwa)." [Surah al-Maidah (19): 71-72]
It is narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said: I had directed you to refrain from fermenting drinks in Dubbaa, Muzaffat, Naqeer and Hantam. Now I permit you to ferment drinks in whichever utensils you have, but refrain from all kinds of intoxicant
Refrain from drugs,
Abstain from alcohol,
Abstain from adultery,
Abstain from fornication,
Abstain from not performing Salat,
Abstain from not giving Zakat,
Abstain from disobedience to parents,
Sit in the company of the 'Ullama,
Strive to rectify your lives and the lives of the whole society.
Try to have a Halaal income - even if it's a little - and for the rest try to be patient, contend and trust in Allah Ta’aala.
It is reported about Umar (R.A), the second Caliph, that Utbah-bin-Farqad, a governor of some province, once visited the Caliph while he was taking his meals. The governor seeing his coarse food, remarked, “Why don’t you take food made of fine flour”? Umar(R.A) replied, “Ibn Farqad! Is there anyone with greater resources than myself in the land of Arabia at present? Uqbah said that there was none with greater resources than you. Then Umar (R.A.) enquired from him saying, “Ibn Farqad! Do all the Muslims get fine flour (to eat)?” He replied in negative. Then Umar (R.A) said, “I would be a bad ruler if I were to take nice (and good) things for myself and leave the bad ones for the people”.
Umar Ibn Khattab (radiyallaahu anhu) wrote to his son, Abdullah: "To proceed: 'Verily I advise you to have Taqwa (fear) of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, for whoever fears Him, Allah will protect him, and whoever gives a loan to Him, Allah will reward him, and whoever thanks Him, Allah will increase Him."
He knows that Allah is ALL Knowing. All Seeing, All Hearing and fears that all deeds will be questioned on the Day of Judgment.
Knows that Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) is actually THE ONLY complete human being, the only person worthy of being followed in all walks of life
Knows that if someone something good about you, he/she actually said that Allah is the biggest Sat tar that HE has hidden your sins
Today, we must go from here, with this firm resolution of adopting Taqwa - the key to friendship with Allah.
May Allah swt give us the guidance and Hedayah to seek out the Truth and Practice Islam as it was meant to be practiced?

The servants whom God loves best are the pious and the hidden.
There is no god but God; Muhammad is the messenger of God.
Your protecting Friend is only Allah and His Messenger and those who believe.
..We are drowned in sins. Those who disobey Allah, cannot be His Friends whilst committing sins and living a sinful life. We should make a firm resolution, now, here from today we want to become the Friends of Allah and we want to remain the Friends of Allah until our departure from this world. Allah is the best friend, because His Friendship will be beneficial, not only in this world but also in the Hereafter.
The Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi WA sallam, said:
Ibrahim (as) was given the title of Khalilullah-Friend of Allah.....so why couldn’t we try to be friends with Allah (swt)?
And who wouldn’t want a friend who is the Most Merciful and Compassionate, and Loving, the best of Protectors and closer to us than our jugular veins?
Allah Almighty Loves to come closer to His Servants:
Narrated Anas: "The Prophet said, 'My Lord says, 'If My slave comes nearer to me for a span, I go nearer to him for a cubit; and if he comes nearer to Me for a cubit, I go nearer to him for the span of outstretched arms; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' '
Almighty Allah says, ‘I am as my servant thinks I am, and I am with him when he remembers me.
If he remembers me to himself, I remember him to myself; and if he remembers me in a gathering,
I remember him in a gathering better than it. If he draws near to Me a hand’s span, I draw near to him an arm’s length; if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length;
and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him with haste.’” (Al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)
Your protecting Friend is only Allah and His Messenger and those who believe.
Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded.
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 38
“The servants whom God loves best are the pious and the hidden. When they are away no-one misses them, and when they are present they are ignored. They are the imams of good guidance and the torches of knowledge.”
Our Holy Prophet (saw) said:
‘O people! Listen, understand and know it well. Allah has servants who are neither Prophets nor martyrs and whom the Prophets and martyrs yearn to be like, due to their seat and proximity in relation to Allah....
Our Holy Prophet (saw) then described these people and then read the following Ayah in which Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an:
For the believers' (al-Mu_min) orientation proofs from the Quran, the hadith and other scriptural sources concerning the wonderful and decisive issue of the Saints or awliyâ' of Allah will be presented. The words Wali, plural awliyâ' and walâya are all of Quranic origin with the root wry meaning: to be close, to be a friend, to govern. They appear in the Quran in different forms over 200 times.
For those in the community (ummah) who unwittingly deny the science of Tasawwuf (spiritual excellence) or neglect the believer's inner jihad (spiritual struggle) restrict the understanding of the 'friends of Allah' as being 'pious worshippers', which is what every believer should be anyway. Thus they risk to degrade their rank - at least in the eyes of the uninformed and to diminish their importance for the believers and the whole of the Ummah.
But what are the qualities and favour of the "friends of Allah" (Wali) and what is their function in the ummah?
It would be useful to start at the beginning:
At first, Allah is the Lord and Protector (Wali) of man; man is the one being tested as he is searching for meaning in life, for fulfillment and purpose. When the believer understands and accepts that truth, light and meaning derive from Allah and His Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi WA sallam, he will turn away from the distractions of the lower world (dunya), the favors of other than God and will turn to Allah in everything he intends and does, because:
“He (Allah, may His Majesty be exalted) is their Friend (Wali) and they are His friends (awliyâ').”
"Behold! Verily on the Friends of Allah there is no fear nor shall they grieve"
Quran (Surah10: Verse 62)
Abu Huraira (r.a) also reports a Hadith Qudsi in which our Holy Prophet (saw) informs us that Allah (swt) said:
'Whosoever acts with enmity towards a Friend of Mine, I will indeed declare war against him"
[Hadith Qudsi: Bukhari]
In the Holy Quran, Allah says:
ALLAH is the Friend (Wali) of those who believe; HE brings them out of all kinds of darkness into light...
2-257
Surely those who believed and fled (their homes, emigrated) and struggled hard in Allah's way with their property and their souls, and those who gave shelter (asylum) and helped - these are guardians, allies (awliyâ) of each other ...
8-72
Here is protection (walâyah) only Allah's, the True One; He is best in (the giving of) reward and best in requiting.
18-44
Now surely the friends (awliyâ'u-LLâhi) of Allah - they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve...
10-62
There is a comment on this last mentioned Quranic verse in the famous hadith (Qudsi) where Allah through the mouth of His Messenger states why they shall have neither fear nor sorrow:
"Allah said, 'I will declare war against him who shows hostility to a pious worshipper (Wali) of mine. And the most beloved things with which my slave comes nearer to me, is what I have enjoined (fard) upon him;
and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing nawafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him, so I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me, I will give him,
and if he asks My protection (Refuge), I will protect him; (i.e. give him My Refuge) and I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him."
Narrated by Abu Huraira in Bukhari, hadith 509
So it is clear that the awliyâ' are under the loving care and protection of Allah Almighty. They are those who are 'no longer subject to natural appetites, nor to desires of the soul. Freed from the entanglements of the world and their own souls they can devote themselves to their original function.
Walâya does not involve spectacular manifestations and no Wali would strive for those either. Far from it - the awliyâ are concealed in a way that the “saint of Allah has no feature by which he is distinguished, nor any name by which he can be named.”
As 'Imams of good guidance and the torches of knowledge' their function is very important. In this respect, walâya is 'the shadow of the prophetic function,' just as the prophetic function is 'the shadow of the divine function.'
This also means that walâya is about the appropriation of the divine character. This is possible because man still possesses a shadow of some of Allah's qualities, such as 'life', 'mercy', or 'knowledge'. Wali is also a shared concept as expressed (stated) in Sura Al-Maidah, the Table Spread (5), and verse 55:
Certainly, your protecting Friend is only Allah and His Messenger and those who believe, those who keep up prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow.

This then is the channel of the believer to his spiritual goal and therefore the direction in which he has to turn when embarking on the greatest of travels, which is the Way towards Allah
Certainly our Leader and Doctor of hearts, the Messenger of Allah, Sayidina Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi WA sallam,)on our level or station in relation to Allah or in relation to creation. So what then is the station of the awliyâ' when we remember that every prophet is a wail, but not every Wali a prophet?
“It has been given to the awliyâ' by Allah in advance to enjoy His dhikr and to have access to His proximity. The life of their body is that of earthly beings and the life of their spirit is that of heavenly beings.”
We can therefore clearly conclude that the Friends of Allah (swt) are envied by, but are neither, Prophets or martyrs, who have no fear or grief and are loved & protected by Allah (swt).
Narrated Mu`adh ibn Jabal I said to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him): Inform me about an act which would entitle me to get into Paradise, and remove me away from Hell-Fire. He (the Prophet) said: You have asked me about a matter (which ostensibly appears to be) difficult but it is easy to those for whom Allah, the Exalted, has made it easy. Worship Allah and do not associate anything with him, establish prayer, pay the Zakat, observe the fast of Ramadan and perform Hajj to the (sacred) House (Ka’ba). He again said: Should I not direct you to the gateways of good?
Listen to me: The fasting is a shield against evil; the charity extinguishes (the fire of sin) just as water extinguishes fire, the prayer of a person during the middle of the night. Then he recited: 'Who forsake their beds... (Up to)....they used to do.' Then he said: Should I not direct you to the highest level of this matter, to the pillar on which (it rests) and it’s top?
I said: Allah's Messenger yes, (do tell me). He said: The uppermost level of the matter is Islam. Its pillar is the prayer and its top is Jihad. He then said: Should I not inform you of the sheet anchor of all this? I said: Allah's Apostle (of course do it). He took hold of his tongue and said: Exercise restraint on it. I said: Apostle of Allah, would we be held responsible for what we say with it? Thereupon he said: Muadh, may your mother be bereaved. Will anything else besides (irresponsible) talk cause the people to be thrown into the Hell-Fire upon their faces or on their nostrils?
Hadith No. 2 Ahmad,
‘Allahumma inni as’aluka huda, wattuqa, walafafa wal ghina’
(Oh Allah, I ask you for guidance, fear, piety and freedom from need)
May Allah swt give us the guidance and Hedayah to seek out the Truth and Practice Islam as it was meant to be practiced?

Your protecting Friend is only Allah and His Messenger and those who believe.
..We are drowned in sins. Those who disobey Allah, cannot be His Friends whilst committing sins and living a sinful life. We should make a firm resolution, now, here from today we want to become the Friends of Allah and we want to remain the Friends of Allah until our departure from this world. Allah is the best friend, because His Friendship will be beneficial, not only in this world but also in the Hereafter.
The Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi WA sallam, said:
Ibrahim (as) was given the title of Khalilullah-Friend of Allah.....so why couldn’t we try to be friends with Allah (swt)?
And who wouldn’t want a friend who is the Most Merciful and Compassionate, and Loving, the best of Protectors and closer to us than our jugular veins?
Allah Almighty Loves to come closer to His Servants:
Narrated Anas: "The Prophet said, 'My Lord says, 'If My slave comes nearer to me for a span, I go nearer to him for a cubit; and if he comes nearer to Me for a cubit, I go nearer to him for the span of outstretched arms; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' '
Almighty Allah says, ‘I am as my servant thinks I am, and I am with him when he remembers me.
If he remembers me to himself, I remember him to myself; and if he remembers me in a gathering,
I remember him in a gathering better than it. If he draws near to Me a hand’s span, I draw near to him an arm’s length; if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length;
and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him with haste.’” (Al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)
Your protecting Friend is only Allah and His Messenger and those who believe.
Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded.
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 38
“The servants whom God loves best are the pious and the hidden. When they are away no-one misses them, and when they are present they are ignored. They are the imams of good guidance and the torches of knowledge.”
Our Holy Prophet (saw) said:
‘O people! Listen, understand and know it well. Allah has servants who are neither Prophets nor martyrs and whom the Prophets and martyrs yearn to be like, due to their seat and proximity in relation to Allah....
Our Holy Prophet (saw) then described these people and then read the following Ayah in which Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an:
For the believers' (al-Mu_min) orientation proofs from the Quran, the hadith and other scriptural sources concerning the wonderful and decisive issue of the Saints or awliyâ' of Allah will be presented. The words Wali, plural awliyâ' and walâya are all of Quranic origin with the root wry meaning: to be close, to be a friend, to govern. They appear in the Quran in different forms over 200 times.
For those in the community (ummah) who unwittingly deny the science of Tasawwuf (spiritual excellence) or neglect the believer's inner jihad (spiritual struggle) restrict the understanding of the 'friends of Allah' as being 'pious worshippers', which is what every believer should be anyway. Thus they risk to degrade their rank - at least in the eyes of the uninformed and to diminish their importance for the believers and the whole of the Ummah.
But what are the qualities and favour of the "friends of Allah" (Wali) and what is their function in the ummah?
It would be useful to start at the beginning:
At first, Allah is the Lord and Protector (Wali) of man; man is the one being tested as he is searching for meaning in life, for fulfillment and purpose. When the believer understands and accepts that truth, light and meaning derive from Allah and His Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi WA sallam, he will turn away from the distractions of the lower world (dunya), the favors of other than God and will turn to Allah in everything he intends and does, because:
“He (Allah, may His Majesty be exalted) is their Friend (Wali) and they are His friends (awliyâ').”
"Behold! Verily on the Friends of Allah there is no fear nor shall they grieve"
Quran (Surah10: Verse 62)
Abu Huraira (r.a) also reports a Hadith Qudsi in which our Holy Prophet (saw) informs us that Allah (swt) said:
'Whosoever acts with enmity towards a Friend of Mine, I will indeed declare war against him"

These Difficult Times We All Need Duas
Dua-SupplicationProphet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The dua’ of any one of you will be answered so long as he does not seek to hasten it, and does not say, ‘I made dua’ but I had no answer.’” (Narrated by al-Bukhari),
The Prophet said; .A believer, in all his affairs, is envied whether in times of adversity or in luxury, and this is a special feature for believers only. Whenever a believer has luxury, he thanks Allah, and whenever he faces hardship, he commits himself to patience. In all cases, it is good for him. (Muslim)
Dua-supplication-the-tool-for-asking-what-you-want
Most of us pray to Allah Almighty for even the minutest things in our life. Sometimes, our dua are answered, and other times they are delayed, and some other times, we do not see the response.
Trials, tribulations and challenges are part of every person’s life. However, to counter that, Allah has provided us a very powerful tool – and that is the tool of du’aa or asking Allah for help and his mercy when we need it. And we need it all the time…
During these difficult times we all need duas and additionally a positive response to our duas.
However, to understand trials and tribulations that we face in our daily lives, we also need to understand the topic of "Sins" and how our sins may be related to our trials and tribulations.
The better we understand the ghastly nature of our sins, and the rate at which we accumulate them, along with their undesirable impact on our daily lives and the hereafter, the more it can propel us away from committing sins in general and the more it will drive us to seek forgiveness for our sins – through making the right Dua’s for us and for others
1. Allahumma inni a’udhu bika mina al-Hamm wa’l-hazn wa’l-ajz wa’l-kasal wa’l-bukhl wa’l-jubn WA dala wa’ldayn WA gheebat al-rijal
Trans: O Allah! I seek refuge in you from distress, grief, incapacity, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, the burden of debt and from being overpowered by Men.
2. Allahumma inni abduka ibn abdika ibn amatija naasiyatee bi yadika, maada fiyya hukmuka, adlun fiyya qadhaa’uka. As’aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitaabika aw ‘allamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw ista’tharta bihi fi ilm il-ghayb indaka an tajal al-Quraana Rabee’ qalbi WA noor sadree WA jala huznee WA dhihaab hammi
Trans: O Allah! I am your slave, son of your slave, son of your maidservant; my forelock is in your hand, your command over me is forever executed and your decree over is just. I ask you by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourselves with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety.
3. La ilaha ill-Allah al-Azeem al-Hakim, laa ilaha ill-Allah Rabb al ‘A’rsh al-’Adheem la ilaha illaa-Allah Rabb al-Samawati WA Rabb al Ard WA Rabb al-A’rsh al-Kareem
Trans: There is no God but Allah, the All-powerful. The Forbearing; There is no god but Allah. Rabb of the mighty throne; there is no god but Allah, Rabb of heaven, Rabb of earth, Rabb of the Nobel throne.
4. Ya hayyu ya Qayyum bi rahmatika astagheetu
Trans: O Ever-Living, O Eternal, by your mercy I seek help.
5. Allah, Allah Rabee la ushriku bihi say’ an
Trans: Allah, Allah is my Lord; I do not associate anything with Him.
6. Allahumma Rahmatan arjoo fa la takilni ILA nafsee tarfat ayn w’aslih li sha’ni kullahu la ilaha illaa anta
Trans: O Allah, for your mercy I hope, so does not leave in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye: rectify all my affairs. There is no God except You.
31:32 And so, when violent waves surround them like shadows of gloom, they call unto Allah, sincere in their faith in Him (and work according to Divine Laws). But as soon as We save them ashore, some of them compromise (with falsehood). Yet none could knowingly reject Our Messages unless he is a betrayer to his own “Self”, ungrateful for such blessing.
As you can see, Dua's will ONLY work when there are no more ways we can resolve the issue our selves. A Dua will ONLY work when there are no other options left for us by which we can solve it. God has given us sufficient means to resolve almost anything ourselves. This can be seen by this verse:
4:97 As for those who wrong their own “Self” by not striving until the angels (the Universal Laws of death) approach them, they are asked, “What kept you occupied?” They say, “We were weak and oppressed in the land.” The angels say, “ Was not the earth of Allah SWT spacious enough for you to migrate?” As for such, their habitation will be Hell, a miserable destination.
Allah SWT (God) didn't accept them because He already gave the means to solve it themselves. Their excuse is that they were weak and surpressed, but they are confronted that Allah SWT (God) gave them the possibility to migrate, because they didn't make use of this possibility, their excuse is not accepted. People pray to Allah SWT (God) for help while ignoring the help He already gave them, this is a gross offense to Allah SWT (God) and all the blessings He already gave us.
So you see we can't say we must pray more? You think Allah SWT (God) will answer those prayers while He gave us enough possibilities to solve them ourselves? You ask him food while He gave you the land to grow them yourselves? You ask peace while we only need to lay down our weapons?Allah (God) will not help when He has given enough possibilities already to resolve it ourselves, it is time mankind will understand this. We have the means to create peace already, because we will not accept these possibilities Allah SWT (God) will not give us more. We want to create the best society? Then we must work for it and make use of the possibilities Allah SWT (God) already gave us. Prayer will only help when there are no more options left, and we are far from no more options, we still have millions of unused option
If you recite Sura al Baqarah for 3 days or more, no Shaitan or anything will enter the house InshaAllah.
If we feel that du’aa isn't working, Aisha (R.A.) said, "No believer makes Dua and it is wasted. Either it is granted here in this world or deposited for him in the Hereafter as long as he does not get frustrated."
Learn from Quran (Surat an-Nisa’: 75).
In one of the passages of the Qur`an, Allah records the dua of the Muslims of Mecca who after the establishment of a Muslim state in Medina were left stranded, facing severe persecution. They were subject to all kinds of harassment and torture. They prayed to Allah Almighty saying, ‘Our Lord, take us out of this city whose inhabitants are wrongdoers! Give us a protector from You! Give us a helper from You!’? (Surat an-Nisa’: 75)
Allah SWT has the power to whisk each of them away from Mecca without anyone knowing. Allah SWT has the power of causing destruction to the city.
Allah SWT has the power of punishing the oppressor in an exemplary manner. But the manner Allah SWT chose to respond to the prayers of the Muslims of Mecca was unique and practical.
He asked the Muslims of Medina who had created a state and were in control of material resources the following; “What reason could you have for not fighting in the Way of Allah-for those men, women and children who are oppressed and say, ‘Our Lord, take us out of this city whose inhabitants are wrongdoers! Give us a protector from You! Give us a helper from You!’? (Surat an-Nisa’: 75)
Prayer is responded
The prayer was responded to. and thus Allah SWT taught us how the prayer is responded.
He invites the people who are well established and settled to come to the rescue of those who are less fortunate.
In these difficult times, our prayers will be responded when those who are in a position of authority and influence sincerely come forward to help those who are in need of help.
"And your Lord says: Pray unto me: and I will hear your prayer" (Quran 40:60),
"Call upon your Lord Humbly and in secret" (Quran 7:55),
"When My servants question thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on me" (Quran 2:186), "Is not He (best) who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and who relieves its suffering." (Quran 27:62)
the blessed prophet used to ask:
‘Allahumma inni as’aluka huda, wattuqa, walafafa wal ghina’

3. La ilaha ill-Allah al-Azeem al-Hakim, laa ilaha ill-Allah Rabb al ‘A’rsh al-’Adheem la ilaha illaa-Allah Rabb al-Samawati WA Rabb al Ard WA Rabb al-A’rsh al-Kareem
Trans: There is no God but Allah, the All-powerful. The Forbearing; There is no god but Allah. Rabb of the mighty throne; there is no god but Allah, Rabb of heaven, Rabb of earth, Rabb of the Nobel throne.
4. Ya hayyu ya Qayyum bi rahmatika astagheetu
Trans: O Ever-Living, O Eternal, by your mercy I seek help.
5. Allah, Allah Rabee la ushriku bihi say’ an
Trans: Allah, Allah is my Lord; I do not associate anything with Him.
6. Allahumma Rahmatan arjoo fa la takilni ILA nafsee tarfat ayn w’aslih li sha’ni kullahu la ilaha illaa anta
Trans: O Allah, for your mercy I hope, so does not leave in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye: rectify all my affairs. There is no God except You.
31:32 And so, when violent waves surround them like shadows of gloom, they call unto Allah, sincere in their faith in Him (and work according to Divine Laws). But as soon as We save them ashore, some of them compromise (with falsehood). Yet none could knowingly reject Our Messages unless he is a betrayer to his own “Self”, ungrateful for such blessing.
As you can see, Dua's will ONLY work when there are no more ways we can resolve the issue our selves. A Dua will ONLY work when there are no other options left for us by which we can solve it. God has given us sufficient means to resolve almost anything ourselves. This can be seen by this verse:
4:97 As for those who wrong their own “Self” by not striving until the angels (the Universal Laws of death) approach them, they are asked, “What kept you occupied?” They say, “We were weak and oppressed in the land.” The angels say, “ Was not the earth of Allah SWT spacious enough for you to migrate?” As for such, their habitation will be Hell, a miserable destination.
Allah SWT (God) didn't accept them because He already gave the means to solve it themselves. Their excuse is that they were weak and surpressed, but they are confronted that Allah SWT (God) gave them the possibility to migrate, because they didn't make use of this possibility, their excuse is not accepted. People pray to Allah SWT (God) for help while ignoring the help He already gave them, this is a gross offense to Allah SWT (God) and all the blessings He already gave us.
So you see we can't say we must pray more? You think Allah SWT (God) will answer those prayers while He gave us enough possibilities to solve them ourselves? You ask him food while He gave you the land to grow them yourselves? You ask peace while we only need to lay down our weapons?Allah (God) will not help when He has given enough possibilities already to resolve it ourselves, it is time mankind will understand this. We have the means to create peace already, because we will not accept these possibilities Allah SWT (God) will not give us more. We want to create the best society? Then we must work for it and make use of the possibilities Allah SWT (God) already gave us. Prayer will only help when there are no more options left, and we are far from no more options, we still have millions of unused option
If you recite Sura al Baqarah for 3 days or more, no Shaitan or anything will enter the house InshaAllah.
If we feel that du’aa isn't working, Aisha (R.A.) said, "No believer makes Dua and it is wasted. Either it is granted here in this world or deposited for him in the Hereafter as long as he does not get frustrated."
Learn from Quran (Surat an-Nisa’: 75).
In one of the passages of the Qur`an, Allah records the dua of the Muslims of Mecca who after the establishment of a Muslim state in Medina were left stranded, facing severe persecution. They were subject to all kinds of harassment and torture. They prayed to Allah Almighty saying, ‘Our Lord, take us out of this city whose inhabitants are wrongdoers! Give us a protector from You! Give us a helper from You!’? (Surat an-Nisa’: 75)
Allah SWT has the power to whisk each of them away from Mecca without anyone knowing. Allah SWT has the power of causing destruction to the city.
Allah SWT has the power of punishing the oppressor in an exemplary manner. But the manner Allah SWT chose to respond to the prayers of the Muslims of Mecca was unique and practical.
He asked the Muslims of Medina who had created a state and were in control of material resources the following; “What reason could you have for not fighting in the Way of Allah-for those men, women and children who are oppressed and say, ‘Our Lord, take us out of this city whose inhabitants are wrongdoers! Give us a protector from You! Give us a helper from You!’? (Surat an-Nisa’: 75)
Prayer is responded
The prayer was responded to. and thus Allah SWT taught us how the prayer is responded.
He invites the people who are well established and settled to come to the rescue of those who are less fortunate.
In these difficult times, our prayers will be responded when those who are in a position of authority and influence sincerely come forward to help those who are in need of help.
"And your Lord says: Pray unto me: and I will hear your prayer" (Quran 40:60),
"Call upon your Lord Humbly and in secret" (Quran 7:55),
"When My servants question thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on me" (Quran 2:186), "Is not He (best) who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and who relieves its suffering." (Quran 27:62)
the blessed prophet used to ask:
‘Allahumma inni as’aluka huda, wattuqa, walafafa wal ghina’
(Oh Allah, I ask you for guidance, fear, piety and freedom from need)
May Allah swt give us the guidance and Hedayah to seek out the Truth and Practice Islam as it was meant to be practiced?

Islam Declares Equality
Some quick facts
Thee alone we ask for help.
Show us the straight path,
The path of those whom thou hast favoured;
Not the path of those who earn Thine anger
Muslims today can be found in many countries and many cultures, speaking many languages.
Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said:
"Halaal is clear and Haram is clear; in between these two are certain things that are suspected. Many people may not know whether those items are Halaal or Haram. Whosoever leaves them, he is innocent towards his religion and his conscience. He is, therefore, safe. Anyone who gets involved in any of these suspected items, he may fall into the unlawful and the prohibited. This case is similar to the one who wished to raise his animals too close to a restricted area, so that the animals may step into that area. Indeed for every landlord there is a restricted area. Indeed the restrictions of Allah are the Haram." (Sahih Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
Allah (S.W.T.) says in Surat Al-Hujurat, (verse 13), what be translated as, "O Mankind! We have created you from a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you in the sight of Allah is he who has most Taqwa among of you. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware."
With this verse, Islam declares equality among people, that is because Islam respect a human for being a human not for any other reason; Islam dose not distinguish between two races, or two groups of people, or between two colors, and the prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) addressed the people signifying that concept during the last pilgrimage, saying: "O People! Your Allah (God) is one; your father is one; no preference of an Arab neither over non-Arab nor of a non-Arab over an Arab or red over black or black over red except for the most righteous. Verily the most honored of you is the most righteous."
Not only did Islam emphasize the equality principle theoretically, but did it practically in some of the worship acts that translated this principle into a sensible fact that dose not escape people minds, thus: in the mosques where Friday prayer is held once every week, as well as the five daily prayers; equality is exercised practically and all the differences vanishes among people. That is, whoever came to the Mosque first, took his place in the front rows despite his financial states or position, and whoever come late, his place is late and if you look at any row among the prayer's rows, you would find in that row the rich and poor, the knowledgeable and the one with no knowledge, the Arab and the non Arab, no differences all the same in sight of Allah (S.W.T.), their direction during prayer, as well as their reveled book, as their Lord is one and also their movements during the prayer following one Imam.
Also, another practical application of equality in Islam is the equality among people in front of the law and regulations. What is allowed is for all people and what is forbidden as well upon all people. The obligations are upon everyone, and whoever deserved punishment gets it, regardless.
An example of such was when some of the companions talked to Osama Bin Zaid R.A., the favorite of prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) to intervene for the sake of the well reputed woman from Quraish tribe who deserved punishment for stealing (that is cutting her hand), Osama talked to the prophet (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) the prophet (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) got angry and said, "Those before you were districted, that is because the renowned is untouched when he steals, and the poor is punished, verily if Fatima daughter of Muhammad stole, I would have cut her hand."
Women are not oppressed in Islam. Any Muslim man that oppresses a woman is not following Islam. Among the many teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) that protected the rights and dignity of women is his saying, "...the best among you are those who treat their wives well."
In respect to protecting the environment in relation to these two aspects, let's listen to the words of Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) "Faith has more than sixty branches. One of these branches is removing things that give people trouble. In this sense, removing a rock the middle of the road is a requirement of faith" (Bukhari,). "Whenever one of you sees ugly behavior or something unpleasant let him change it with his hand. If he does not have the strength to change it with his hand, let him change it with his tongue. If he is not strong enough to do this, let him reproach it in his heart. The last approach is the weakest form of faith" (Muslim), One of the striking matters in these hadiths is the placing of the awareness of responsibility within the framework of faith. This is very important in respect to showing the connection between a Muslim's understanding of life and faith.
For Roman Catholic
Paul really made in the head coverings address, look at the passage again and see how the commands are very simply stated in verses 4-5a. Don’t let the discussion of related issues distract you from the simplicity of the command itself. Every man who has something on his head while praying or prophesying disgraces his head. 5 But every woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head.
Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him, 15 but if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
I Corinthians 11:13-15
Muslim women wear the head-covering (Hijaab) in fulfillment of Allah (God's) decree to dress modestly. From a practical standpoint, it serves to identify one as attempting to follow Allah (God) in daily life and, therefore, protects women from unwanted advances from men. This type of modest dress has been worn by righteous women throughout history. Prominent examples are traditional Catholic Nuns, Mother Teresa and the Virgin Mary, mother of Isa A.S. (Jesus).
The Qur'an answers the question. Our bodies did not develop our skin--- so thin and fur free that it requires external covering for protection---because of some unexplained evolutionary accident. Our Creator designed it this way so we will always need clothing. He also put in us the sense of shame that forces us to cover ourselves. On the other hand, the first act of Satan was to cause Adam and Eve to expose themselves: "So by deceit he brought about their fall: when they tasted of the tree, their shameful parts became manifest to them, and they began to sew together the leaves of the Garden over their bodies." [Al-Araf 7:22]. This is the source of the tension we see. Two Pair of opposing forces). Good and evil. “
With that background we can understand the importance of clothing. "Oh! Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness---that is the best." [Al-Araf 7:26]. The address here is to all humanity, emphasizing thereby the universal human need to cover ourselves properly. The Qur'an then warns that Satan was not finished after his first attempt: "Oh Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduces you in the same manner as he got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame." [Al-Araf 7:27].
Once we realize the nature of the dress issue, it is natural that we should turn to our Creator to seek guidance for the proper dress code. Qur'an and Sunnah have provided ample guidance on the subject
"Oh Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduces you (Stay sharp)
In Islam, the learning process is never complete. As you grow in understanding of the Muslim faith, you may come across more questions, or more topics you want to study. The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) told his followers to "seek knowledge, even unto China" -- i.e. pursue your study to the farthest reaches of the earth.

Quran and the Sunnah
The Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) has said: “The one who recites the Qur’an and the one who listens to it have an equal share in the reward.”
"A seeker is not a seeker until he is able to find in the Quran everything that he desires."
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “I have left two things among you, as long as you hold fast to them, you will never go astray. They are the Book of Allah (Quran) and the Sunnah of His Messenger”
The Quran is the ocean where from the jewels of knowledge and the treasures of understanding are extracted. Any believer who is grants the way to understand it, his Opening (fathu; Victory in a general sense. The same word can be used for the conquest of a city, the dispelling of hardships, achievement of success in any Endeavour, and the unveiling of the Eye of the heart so that it begins to perceive the Unseen; it is usually in this latter sense that the term is used in Sufi texts), becomes permanent, his light complete, his knowledge vast, and he never tires of reading it night and day, for he found therein his goal and his purpose. This is the quality of the sincere seeker.
The Qur'an challenges the reader to think about its message, ponder its meaning, and accept it with understanding rather than blind faith. As you read, feel free to ask for clarification from knowledgeable Muslims.
. Four Suras dating from a period prior to Hegira refer to the writing down of the Quran before the Prophet left Mecca in 622 (Surah 80, verses 11 to 16):
By no means! Indeed it is a message of instruction
Therefore whoever wills, should remember
On leaves held in honor Exalted, purified in the hands of scribes Noble and pious.
"The sources all agree in stating that whenever a fragment of the Quran was revealed, the Prophet called one of his literate companions and dictated it to him, indicating at the same time the exact position of the new fragment in the fabric of what had already been received... Descriptions note that Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked the scribe to reread to him what had been dictated so that he could correct any deficiencies...
Another famous story tells how every year in the month of Ramadan, the Prophet would recite the whole of the Quran (so far revealed) to Gabriel..., that in the Ramadan preceding Muhammad's death, Gabriel had made him recite it twice... It is known how since the Prophet's time, Muslims acquired the habit of keeping vigil during Ramadan, and of reciting the whole of the Quran in addition to the usual prayers expected of them. Several sources add that Muhammad's scribe Zaid was present at this final bringing-together of the texts. Elsewhere, numerous other personalities are mentioned as well."
Extremely diverse materials were used for this first record; parchment leather, wooden tablet, camel's scapula, soft stone for inscriptions, etc.
At the same time however, Muhammad (peace be upon him) recommended the faithful to learn the Quran by heart. They did this for a part if not all of the text recited during prayers. Thus there was .Hafizun. Who knew the whole of the Quran by heart and spread it abroad. The method of doubly preserving the text both in writing and by memorization proved to be extremely precious.
It is logical that one wanting to learn about a faith would start by reading its most holy text. For some, however, the Qur'an can be difficult to sit down and read from cover to cover. The revelation was given over a period of decades, and each verse has a particular scriptural and historical context. The themes of the Qur'an are interwoven among the chapters, and the book is not in chronological order.
The following was the first Revelation (Surah 96, verses 1 to 5):
Read: In the name of thy Lord who created,
Who created man from something which clings
Read! Thy Lord is the most Noble
Who taught by the pen
Who taught man what he did not know
(When the Revelation of this Surah was made, forty-two or forty-five others had been written and were kept by Muslims in Mecca (out of a total of 114):
You must have a wird (any repeated devotional act), of the Mighty Book to be read every day. The least you should do is read one Juz' (one thirtieth of the Quran' an), so that you complete it once month, and the most is to complete to every three days.
Surah Al Rahman (55)
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said:’ everything has a bride, and the bride of the Qur’an is Surah Al Rahman’
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, ‘What an excellent treasure Surah Al Imran is to the pauper when he recites it in prayer during the last part of the night’ Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said:’ Allah’s most magnificent name, which when used to implore Him, He responds, is found in three Suras. Al Baqara, Al Imran and Taha’
Be careful to read those Suras and verses which are recommended in the Sunna at particular times ; for examples al-Sajdahs; The Prostration [ 32 ], al-Mulk; The kingdom [67 ], al-Waqi' a; The Event [ 56 ], and the last two verses of al-Baqara; the Heifer [2], every night before going to sleep. Al-Dukhaan ;( The Smoke [44],): on Sunday and Thursday evenings, and al-Kahf; The Cave [18], on Thursday night and Friday. Read if you can, the Seven Saving Ones every night they are; al-Sajadah ,YA-SIN[ 36 ], al-Dukhaan [ 44 ], al-Waqiah [ 56 ], al-Hasher [ 59 ], al-Mulk [67 ], And Insaan; Man[ 76 ].for their merit is great. Also morning and evening the first few verses of Surat al-Hadid; The Iron [ 57 ], the last few verses of Surat al-Hasher; The Gathering [59], Sura Ikhlas[112], three times and the two refuge-taking Suras al-Falaq & al-Nas [114,113] three times each; similarly, al-Ikhlas and he last two Suras of the Quran' an together with the al-Kursi verse; The Foot stool [ 2:255 ], and Surat al-Kafirun;The Disbelieves [109], immediately before going to sleep, making these the last thing that you utter.
And Allah Ta’aala says the truth, and He guides to the way.
Know that great merit attaches to reciting the Quran' an, and an influence in illuminating the heart. The Messenger of Allah, may blessings and peace be upon him, has said: " The best of my nation's devotions is the recitation of the Quran' an". And Ali may Allah ennoble hid face, has said:" The one who recites the Qur'an while standing in prayer receives one hundred rewards for each letter; the one who recites it outside the prayer but in a state of ritual purity receives twenty-five rewards for each letter; and the one who recites it without ritual purity receives ten rewards for each letter."
Beware of concentrating, while reciting, on reciting a large amount to the exclusion of reflection and correct recitation. You must reflect and comprehend while you recite; slow, melodious recitation will assist you in this. Feel in your heart the Magnitude of the Speaker ( Transcendent and Exalted is He!) and that you are before Him, reciting His Book to Him, in which He addresses His commands, prohibitions, counsels and exhortations to you. When reading verses on unification and glorification are full of reverence and awe, when reading verses of promises and threats be full of hopeful expectation and apprehension, and when reading the commands and prohibitions be thankful, acknowledge your shortcomings, ask for forgiveness and determine to show ardor.
In Islam, the learning process is never complete. As you grow in understanding of the Muslim faith, you may come across more questions, or more topics you want to study. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) told his followers to "seek knowledge, even unto China" -- i.e. pursue your study to the farthest reaches of the earth.

"A seeker is not a seeker until he is able to find in the Quran everything that he desires."
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “I have left two things among you, as long as you hold fast to them, you will never go astray. They are the Book of Allah (Quran) and the Sunnah of His Messenger”
The Quran is the ocean where from the jewels of knowledge and the treasures of understanding are extracted. Any believer who is grants the way to understand it, his Opening (fathu; Victory in a general sense. The same word can be used for the conquest of a city, the dispelling of hardships, achievement of success in any Endeavour, and the unveiling of the Eye of the heart so that it begins to perceive the Unseen; it is usually in this latter sense that the term is used in Sufi texts), becomes permanent, his light complete, his knowledge vast, and he never tires of reading it night and day, for he found therein his goal and his purpose. This is the quality of the sincere seeker.
The Qur'an challenges the reader to think about its message, ponder its meaning, and accept it with understanding rather than blind faith. As you read, feel free to ask for clarification from knowledgeable Muslims.
. Four Suras dating from a period prior to Hegira refer to the writing down of the Quran before the Prophet left Mecca in 622 (Surah 80, verses 11 to 16):
By no means! Indeed it is a message of instruction
Therefore whoever wills, should remember
On leaves held in honor Exalted, purified in the hands of scribes Noble and pious.
"The sources all agree in stating that whenever a fragment of the Quran was revealed, the Prophet called one of his literate companions and dictated it to him, indicating at the same time the exact position of the new fragment in the fabric of what had already been received... Descriptions note that Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked the scribe to reread to him what had been dictated so that he could correct any deficiencies...
Another famous story tells how every year in the month of Ramadan, the Prophet would recite the whole of the Quran (so far revealed) to Gabriel..., that in the Ramadan preceding Muhammad's death, Gabriel had made him recite it twice... It is known how since the Prophet's time, Muslims acquired the habit of keeping vigil during Ramadan, and of reciting the whole of the Quran in addition to the usual prayers expected of them. Several sources add that Muhammad's scribe Zaid was present at this final bringing-together of the texts. Elsewhere, numerous other personalities are mentioned as well."
Extremely diverse materials were used for this first record; parchment leather, wooden tablet, camel's scapula, soft stone for inscriptions, etc.
At the same time however, Muhammad (peace be upon him) recommended the faithful to learn the Quran by heart. They did this for a part if not all of the text recited during prayers. Thus there was .Hafizun. Who knew the whole of the Quran by heart and spread it abroad. The method of doubly preserving the text both in writing and by memorization proved to be extremely precious.
It is logical that one wanting to learn about a faith would start by reading its most holy text. For some, however, the Qur'an can be difficult to sit down and read from cover to cover. The revelation was given over a period of decades, and each verse has a particular scriptural and historical context. The themes of the Qur'an are interwoven among the chapters, and the book is not in chronological order.
The following was the first Revelation (Surah 96, verses 1 to 5):
Read: In the name of thy Lord who created,
Who created man from something which clings
Read! Thy Lord is the most Noble
Who taught by the pen
Who taught man what he did not know
(When the Revelation of this Surah was made, forty-two or forty-five others had been written and were kept by Muslims in Mecca (out of a total of 114):
You must have a wird (any repeated devotional act), of the Mighty Book to be read every day. The least you should do is read one Juz' (one thirtieth of the Quran' an), so that you complete it once month, and the most is to complete to every three days.
Surah Al Rahman (55)
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said:’ everything has a bride, and the bride of the Qur’an is Surah Al Rahman’
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, ‘What an excellent treasure Surah Al Imran is to the pauper when he recites it in prayer during the last part of the night’ Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said:’ Allah’s most magnificent name, which when used to implore Him, He responds, is found in three Suras. Al Baqara, Al Imran and Taha’
Be careful to read those Suras and verses which are recommended in the Sunna at particular times ; for examples al-Sajdahs; The Prostration [ 32 ], al-Mulk; The kingdom [67 ], al-Waqi' a; The Event [ 56 ], and the last two verses of al-Baqara; the Heifer [2], every night before going to sleep. Al-Dukhaan ;( The Smoke [44],): on Sunday and Thursday evenings, and al-Kahf; The Cave [18], on Thursday night and Friday. Read if you can, the Seven Saving Ones every night they are; al-Sajadah ,YA-SIN[ 36 ], al-Dukhaan [ 44 ], al-Waqiah [ 56 ], al-Hasher [ 59 ], al-Mulk [67 ], And Insaan; Man[ 76 ].for their merit is great. Also morning and evening the first few verses of Surat al-Hadid; The Iron [ 57 ], the last few verses of Surat al-Hasher; The Gathering [59], Sura Ikhlas[112], three times and the two refuge-taking Suras al-Falaq & al-Nas [114,113] three times each; similarly, al-Ikhlas and he last two Suras of the Quran' an together with the al-Kursi verse; The Foot stool [ 2:255 ], and Surat al-Kafirun;The Disbelieves [109], immediately before going to sleep, making these the last thing that you utter.
And Allah Ta’aala says the truth, and He guides to the way.
Know that great merit attaches to reciting the Quran' an, and an influence in illuminating the heart. The Messenger of Allah, may blessings and peace be upon him, has said: " The best of my nation's devotions is the recitation of the Quran' an". And Ali may Allah ennoble hid face, has said:" The one who recites the Qur'an while standing in prayer receives one hundred rewards for each letter; the one who recites it outside the prayer but in a state of ritual purity receives twenty-five rewards for each letter; and the one who recites it without ritual purity receives ten rewards for each letter."
Beware of concentrating, while reciting, on reciting a large amount to the exclusion of reflection and correct recitation.
