‘Why am I here?’ ‘Who put me here?’
All praise is to Allah, Lord of the
worlds. And all blessings and peace to our Master Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu
Alaihi Wasallam, his family, and companions
Is Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)
real?
‘Why am I here?’ ‘Who put me here?’ and
‘How did I get here?’ Without answering these questions man will wander through
life aimlessly without any reference point or criteria for his actions and
decisions. These questions will continue to haunt him unless they are
comprehensively and conclusively answered.
“Both religion and science require a
belief in Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD). For believers, Allah Subhanahu WA
Ta’aala (GOD) is in the beginning, and for physicists He is at the end of all
considerations… To the former He is the foundation, to the latter, the crown of
the edifice of every generalized world view.”
–Max Planck, (a Nobel Prize physicist
considered to be the founder of quantum theory, and one of the most important
physicists of the 20th century).
“I am not an atheist, and I don’t think
I can call myself a pantheist [emphasis added]. We are in the position of a
little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The
child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It
does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly
suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn’t know
what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent
human being toward God. ”
–Albert Einstein, as quoted in Anthony Flow’s
book There Is a God: How the World’s Most Notorious Atheist Changed His Mind.
Scientists have found that within the
cell, there is thousands of what can be called 'biochemical machines'. All of
their parts have to be in place simultaneously or the cell can't function.
Things which were thought to be simple mechanisms, such as being able to sense
light and turn it into electrical impulses, are in fact highly complicated.
Since life is built on these
'machines', the idea that natural processes could have made a living system is untenable.’
'…systems of horrendous, irreducible complexity inhabit the cell. The
resulting realization that life was designed by intelligence is a shock to us
in the twentieth century who have gotten used to thinking of life as the result
of simple natural laws. But other centuries have had their shocks, and there is
no reason to suppose that we should escape them.'
A Watch implies it has a watchmaker.
Today, however, a large proportion of people, including many leading
scientists, believe that all plants and animals, including the incredibly
complex brains of the people who make watches, motor cars, etc., were not
designed by an intelligent God but rather came from an unintelligent
evolutionary process.
But is this a defensible position?
The world-renowned crusader for
Darwinism and atheism, Prof. Richard Dawkins, states:
'We have seen that living things are too improbable and too beautifully
“designed” to have come into existence by chance.'
Thus, even the most ardent atheist
concedes that design is all around us. To a Muslim, the design we see all
around us is totally consistent with the Quran's explanation that Allah
Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) created all.
Does Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)
exist? We have never seen Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD). We have never
talked with Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).
That is why the Atheists believe Allah
Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) does not exist. It is just a fantasy or a made up
thing!
Man will answer these questions in
different manners according to his own level of perception and thought but the
man who is determined for the truth will exhaust every possible angle and
answer these questions in an enlightened manner. The questions ‘Why am I here?’
‘Who put me here?’ and ‘How did I get here?’ are what constitute the Aqidah.
This is an old story, The Story of a
Scholar and an Atheist:
There is one story of a Scholar and an
Atheist.
Long ago an Atheist did not believe the
existence of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).
He asked a scholar for a debate about the
existence of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).
Among the questions are: “Does Allah
Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) exist?” and “If Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)
exists then where is Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)?”
Then they decided when and where the
debate takes place.
The Atheist and the villagers were
waiting for the scholar, but the scholar did not come right on time. When the
Atheist and the villagers thought that the scholar will not come for the
debate, then the scholar showed up.
“I am sorry to keep you waiting for so
long. But the rain is so heavy so the river floods. The bridge drifted away so
I could not cross it. Thank Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) suddenly there was
a big tree fell down. Then the branches cut out by themselves so the trunk was
branchless. After that the trunk was cut and a hole was created so it became a
boat. So I used the boat and crossed the river,” said the scholar.
The Atheist and the villagers were
laughing. The Atheist said to the villagers, “This scholar is mad. How can a
tree became a boat by itself with no one made it?
How can a boat exist with no maker who made
it?”
The villagers were laughing out loud.
After the people calmed down, the
scholar said, “If you believe that the boat could not exist without its maker,
then how could you believe the earth, sky, and its contents exist without its
creator? Which is the most difficult to make? Making a boat or creating the
earth, sky, and its contents?
Hearing that, they realized that they
trapped with their own statement.
“Then answer my second question,” said
the Atheist. “If God exists, why can’t He be seen? Where is God?” The Atheist
thought since he cannot see God then God does not exist.
The scholar slapped the Atheist’s cheek
hardly so the Atheist felt so much pain.
“Why did you slap me? It’s very
painful”
The scholar asked, “There is no pain. I
cannot see pain. Where is pain?”
“The pain is here,” the Atheist pointed
his cheek.
“No, I cannot see pain. Do you see the
pain?” asked the scholar to the villagers.
The villagers said, “No!”
Said the scholar:
“So, though we cannot see the pain does
not mean that the pain does not exist. So is the Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala
(GOD). Just because we cannot see the Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) does not
mean that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) does not exist. Though we cannot see
Him, but we can see His creations.”
The argument of the scholar is very
simple. Yet, the argument that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) does not exist
just because human’s sense could not sense the existence of Allah Subhanahu WA
Ta’aala (GOD) is very wrong.
How many things that could not be seen
or heard by people but exist?
We cannot see the Wind but the Wind
exists. We cannot see electricity (what you can see is wire) but electricity exist.
How many things in the sky that
billions light years away, even trillions light years away that could not be
seen by people yet the things exist?
How many molecular things even nucleus
(hair divided in millions) that cannot be seen by people yet exist?
People could only see those things by
using a very powerful microscope.
How many waves (radio, electromagnetic,
electricity, etc) that cannot be seen yet exist?
Can you believe in the existence of
something that you cannot see?
The human brain...simultaneously
processes an amazing amount of information.
Your brain takes in all the colors and
objects you see, the temperature around you, the pressure of your feet against
the floor, the sounds around you, the dryness of your mouth, even the texture
of your keyboard.
Your brain holds and processes all your
emotions, thoughts and memories.
At the same time your brain keeps track
of the ongoing functions of your body like your breathing pattern, eyelid
movement, hunger and movement of the muscles in your hands.
The human brain processes more than a million
messages a second.
Your brain weighs the importance of all this
data, filtering out the relatively unimportant.
This screening function is what allows
you to focus and operate effectively in your world.
The brain functions differently than
other organs.
There is intelligence to it, the
ability to reason, to produce feelings, to dream and plan, to take action, and
relate to other people.
Have you ever seen your own brain? We
all believe in many things that we have never seen.
Have you ever seen the wind? Have you
seen history?
We see the effects of the wind, but the
wind is invisible.
We have records of history, but it is
by faith we believe that certain historical events happened.
Television waves are invisible, but an
antenna and a receiver can detect their presence.
Those things exist, yet the human sense
is very limited so it cannot sense their existence.
The human ability to see colors limited
to certain frequencies. People only could hear limited frequencies.
Sometimes the light not only very
dazzling but also could make people blind.
So is the sound. Certain sound could
not be heard by human sense while other sound which is very loud could destroy
human‘s hearing.
If to sense the creatures of Allah
Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), sometimes people could not do it, even more to
sense the Creator: Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)!
If one accepts there is a Allah
Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) who created us, then that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala
(GOD) also owns us. He thus has a right to set the rules by which we must live.
The Universe, Who is its Creator?
It is hard to proof that Allah
Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) exists. But if we take a look to the planes,
miniaturization of computing devices, an electric eye that helps the blind see
to telescopes tracking potential habitable planets, Sixth Sense, cars, TVs, etc,
it would be irrational if we say that all exist by themselves.
There must be people who make them!
Evolution: It’s a beautiful thing.
There is only one thing wrong. The so called smart built. What’s so smart about
it? We should be looking after the less fortunate people in this GREAT PLANET
we live in.
I personally would like to say that belief
over the existence of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) is now inevitable.
We can see that things which are actually dead
can be made acting and operating.
Now also the belief that on the Day of
Judgment, all the dead people will be waken up from the state of being dead, is
no more difficult to acknowledge. Mankind, a weak creature of Allah Subhanahu
WA Ta’aala (GOD) and who cannot escape diseases, disorders and so many problems
can do such miraculous things, so Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) who created
things which are known to us (Including humans) and those which are not known
to us, can definitely make us alive from the state of being dead and can summon
us up for accountability of what we did here in this world. This is my personal
view and only an exposure to help recognize the reality.
In another verse, Allah Subhanahu WA
Ta’aala (GOD) challenges others to create a fly if they could do it. Men may be
could make robots from things that created by Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).
Yet, none could make a fly from nothing nor thing that could reproduce except
Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD):
“Lo! Those on whom ye call beside Allah
will never create a fly though they combine together for the purpose. And if
the fly took something from them, they could not rescue it from him. So weak
are (both) the seeker and the sought!” [Quran 22:73]
There are many other Quran verses that
describe the existence of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) and Allah Subhanahu
WA Ta’aala (GOD) is the All Wise Creator.
I feel that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala
(GOD) is in my heart.
Listen to yourself and you can feel if
there is Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) with you or not yet.
You can change your mind, your
feelings, and your attitude to other people for the best any time and you will
never be late. :)
Believe me it’s wonderful to live
knowing that you always loved by Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).
The greatest act of faith takes place
when a man finally decides that he is not God. Johann Wolfgang Goethe
What comes into our minds when we think about GOD
is the most important thing about us. A.W. Dozer
'O Allah, cause your love to exceed all
loves in me, and cause your fear to be the greatest of all fears in me'
We are ALL of GODS CREATION. For every
Wrong there is a RIGHT. We are on this EARTH for a SHORT TIME & not a LONG
TIME we have to make the MOST of what we have here on EARTH. It is very easy to
be a BAD PERSON & very HARD to be a GOOD PERSON. So DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU
WILL DO UNTO YOURSELF. We are ALL of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)'S
CREATION. Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) BLESSES US ALL.
If the simple thing such as the
match/car/TV/etc has its makers, then the universe that far more complex than
that must be has its creator.
In the Quran Allah explains that He is
the creator of Heaven, Star, Sun, Moon, and others:
“Blessed be He who hath placed in the
heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon
giving light!” [Quran 25:61]
"I testify that there is no one
worthy of worship besides Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).
He is all by Himself and has no partner
and I testify that Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam is His servant
and Rasul.
I am pleased with Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala
(GOD) as my Lord,
Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu Alaihi
Wasallam as my Rasul and Islam as my Deen
“For sure it is in the remembrance of Allah
Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) that the heart finds rest,” (13:28)
May Allah Subhanahu WA
Ta’aala (GOD) make our efforts sincere and keep us all on the straight
path...........
