Allah, the Almighty, has said:
O Son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O Son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O Son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins as great as the earth, and were you then to face Me ascribing no partners to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.
It should not be forgotten that we, being human beings are prone to committing sins. Sinless are nobody in the universe
Allah (SWT) Most High says in Noble Qur'an, "Ask your Lord for forgiveness and then turn in repentance to Him..." (11:3)
Also Allah (SWT) Most High says in Noble Qur'an, "O you who believe! Turn (in repentance) to Allah with sincere repentance; Perhaps your Lord will remove your evil from you... “(66:8)
Tawba, (Tauba, Tobah) (repentance) is the regret and sadness which arise in the heart when remembering a sin. For the validity of the Tawba, (Tauba, Tobah) shunning the sin, firmly resolving to abstain from it in future and controlling the nafs when it urges for the sin, are necessary.
It should be noted that the Arabic word / Tawba, Tauba, Tobah /, which is generally understood as 'repentance', does not imply the mere utterance of any verbal prayers. It demands a real and active change in the behavior as well as the active attitude of the individual towards the purity of his/her life. It demands a moral conversion with a strong and definite determination on the part of the repenting individual, never again to return to the mistake or the wrong that had been committed before.
In other words, the term / Tawba, Tauba, Tobah / 'repentance' is a word commonly used both for Allah and His servants. When it is used for the servants of Allah, it means that 'they have returned to their Lord', because any sinner, in fact, has abandoned his Lord, and when the servant repents, he/she returns to Him.
When servants fail to obey their Lord, it seems that they cause Him, also, to turn away from them. When Allah is attributed with / Tawba, Tauba, Tobah /, it mean that He returns His Mercy and Favour to them.
"In ancient times there lived a man who sought to earn his livelihood and procure great wealth by lawful means but was unsuccessful. He then strived to achieve his objectives by unlawful means but once again failed.
Shaitan (Satan) appeared before him and said to him: "You tried to acquire great wealth by lawful as well as unlawful means but were unsuccessful. Do you want me to show you a way by which you would not only become wealthy but you would also attract numerous followers?"
The man expressed his willingness to know how he could get rich.
"Concoct a religion and invite people to follow it," suggested Shaitan (Satan).
The man fabricated a religion and soon, he had a lot of followers through whom he became rich.
One day he realized that he had made a mistake by leading numerous people astray so he resolved to inform the people of the falsity of his religion and the error of his ways. But however hard he stressed and emphasized, the people simply refused to accept his word.
"Your previous views were correct; have you become skeptical of your own religion now?" they asked. When he heard these words, he got some shackles and chained himself. He pledged that he would not unchain himself until Allah (SWT) accepted his repentance (Tawba and Istighfar).
Allah (SWT) revealed to the Prophet of the time to convey the following message to the person: "By My Honour! Even if you weep and supplicate to the extent that every ligament of your body falls apart, I shall never accept your repentance, till you inform those people who have died after having been led astray by you of the reality and they turn back from your religion."
How does Allah forgive us?
When we commit a sin, four witnesses are established against us.
a) The place we did the crime (i.e., scene of the murder).
"On that day, the earth will reveal all its secrets." (99:4)
b) The organ we used to commit the crime. "When their ears, their eyes, their skin will testify against them." (41:21)
"That day we seal up mouths, and hands speak out and feet bear witness to all that they did." (36:65)
c) The Angels who record the deeds (Kiraman Kati bin).
"The honored writers know what you do." (82:11)
d) "We record that which they send before them, and their footprints, and all things we have kept in a clear register." (36:12)
Now, with four such strong witnesses, how can we present ourselves to Allah? So He (the Al-Wakeel--the Defender), like a smart lawyer, removes all the witnesses against those whose repentance has been accepted, so that we present ourselves with a clean record. Case dissolved due to lack of witnesses. Hadith is like this. "When Allah accepts repentance and forgives His servant, then recording angels erase their records, organs lose their memories, and earth removes its stains of evidence so that when that person appears before Allah, there is no one to be a witness against him. (“Subhanallah”.)
Hadith Qudsi:
Prophet (SAW) has said:
A certain person had committed 99 murders. He went to a scholar and asked, is there any chance of my being forgiven? The scholar said no, you have committed too many crimes. The man killed the scholar too, but his heart was restless, so he went to another scholar and asked the same question. He was told yes, but you must leave this town of bad people and go live in the next town in the company of good people.
So the man set out to the town he was told to go to. On the way he died. A man passing by saw two angels arguing over his dead body. The Angel from Hell said, 'His body belongs to me as he had not done any good in his life.' The Angel from Heaven said, 'His body belongs to me as he had repented and was set out to be with good people.' The man who was the passer-by said, 'Let us measure the distance of his body from the town he left and the town he was going to.'
This was done. He was found to be nearer to the town he was going to. In another version, the earth was ordered by Allah to shrink and make the distance smaller, so that he was admitted to Heaven.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “If the believer commits a sin, a black spot appears on his heart. If he repents, gives it up and seeks forgiveness, his heart is cleansed, but if he does more then (that spot) increases until it covers his heart. That is the Raan (covering of sin) which Allah mentioned in the Qur’an:
“Nay”! But on their hearts is the Raan (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn”
[Al-Mutaffifen 83:14]
A person once heard a pious Muslim say that "For the last thirty years I am repenting for a sin and I don't know how Allah (SWT) will deal with me regarding it?"
The listener asked: "What was your sin?"
The pious Muslim said: "I used to have a shop in the Bazaar. One day I heard that the whole Bazaar was burning so I rushed to see my shop. When I reached there I saw that except my shop all the shops were razed to the ground. I said 'Al-Hamdu lillah' (All praise to Allah (SWT)); but immediately I realized my mistake. How can I call myself a Muslim when I couldn't feel the loss of my neighbors? That is why I am repenting (Tawba and Istighfar) for that lapse on my part for the last thirty years".
To seek pardon from Allah (SWT) is the instant remedy for every problem.
How to ask for forgiveness when Adam and Eve realized they had done wrong but did not know how to ask for forgiveness:
Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of forgiveness, and his Lord turned toward him, for He is Oft-Forgiving and Most Merciful. (2:37)
What were those words taught to Adam?
They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged our souls and if you forgive us not, and bestow not upon us your mercy, we shall be losers. (7:23)
How did the Prophet Muhammad (AS) teach Aisha (RA) to ask for forgiveness in Ramadan?
O my Lord, forgive me, because you love to forgive, thus forgive me, O you Merciful!
Remember, asking for forgiveness is not just for our sins, but also for our needs as well.
And I have said! Seek forgiveness from your Lord. Lo! He is oft-forgiving (if you ask for forgiveness). He will give you plenty of rain, He will give you wealth and sons, and assign you Heaven and Rivers in the Heaven. (Surah Nuh: 10-12)
Thus after repenting and asking for forgiveness, we must mend our ways and not go back to Kufr and fall prey to the tactics of Satan (Iblis) again. While we expect Allah to be kind and merciful and forgive our major and minor sins, we are unforgiving towards our fellow human beings!
The Noble Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "There are four signs of one who is repentant: (1) He is sincere to Allah (SWT) in his actions (2) He shuns falsehood (3) He is firmly attached to truth and (4) He is eager to do good."
May Allah help us to do that which He loves and which pleases Him?
And Allah knows best.

The benefits of Ayat Al-Kursi
Verse 255 of Surah-e-Baqarah (chapter: The cow) in holy Quran is called Ayat Al-Kursi: “Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him or Sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as he permitted? He knoweth what (appeared to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend over the heavens and on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding and preserving them, For He is the Most High, The Supreme (in glory).”
The benefits of Ayat Al-Kursi are:
1. Holy prophet (SAW) said: whoever recites the first 4 ayahs of Sura Baqarah, then Ayatul Kursi and then the last 3 ayahs of Surah e Baqarah, will not be inflicted with any kind of difficulty in his wealth or himself, Satan will not come near him and he will not forget the Qur'an.
2. Holy Prophet (SAW) said: Qur'an is a great word, and Sura Baqarah is the leader of the Qur'an and Ayatul Kursi is the leader of Sura Baqarah. In Ayatul Kursi there are 50 words and for each word there are 50 blessings and good in it.
This ayat was revealed after Hijra. During its revelation it was accompanied by thousands of angels because of its greatness and glory.
Shaitan and Iblis became worried because there is an obstacle in their quest to mislead mankind. Rasulullah saw. Immediately ordered Zaid b Thabit to write it down and spread the message.
Ubayy bin Ka`b (radiyallaahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Abu Mundhir! Do you know which Ayah in Allah's Book is the greatest? I said: 'Allah and His messenger know best.'
He (peace be upon him) again said: 'Do you know which Ayah in Allah's Book, according to you, is the greatest?' I (Abu Mundhir) replied: ‘It is 'Allah la ilaha illaa Hu wal Hayyul Qayyum'. [2:255].
Thereupon he (peace be upon him) patted me in the chest and said, ' Rejoice by your knowledge, O Abu Mundhir! (i.e., may this knowledge be a source of respect, honour and benefit to you)'."
[Muslim]
Asma' bint Yazid (radiyallaahu anhu) reported, ' I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say about these two following Ayahs, i.e., verses: "Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. [2:255], and, Alif Lam Mim, Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal [3:1-2], that they contain Allah's Greatest Name."
[Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal in his Musnad]
Abu Umaamah Al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The one who recites it after each of the obligatory prayers, then death will be the only thing preventing him from entering Paradise."
[Ibn Sunni, Ibn Hibban]
Abu Dharr said; O Messenger of Allah, what is the greatest thing that has been revealed to you?’ He said, Ayat al-Kursi, 'Allah! La ilaha illaa Huwa'.
When you lie down in your bed, recite ayat al-Kursi, Allah! La ilaha ILA Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the ever living, and the One Who sustains and protects all that exists… [al-Baqarah 2:255] until the end of the ayah, then you will have a protector from Allah and no shaitans (devil) will come near you until morning comes
[Sahih al-Bukhari]
Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu anhu) narrated; In Surah al-Baqarah there is an ayah which is the best of all the ayahs of the Qur’an. It is never recited in a house but the Shaitan leaves: Ayat al-Kursi.
Everything has its pinnacle and the pinnacle of the Qur’an is Surah al-Baqarah. In it there is an ayah, which is one of the greatest in the Qur’an: Ayat al-Kursi
Do you know the Ayatul Kursi?" Anas (radiyallaahu anhu) replied "I know". The Prophet (Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam) said, "It is equal to a quarter of the Qur'an
The magnificence and special status of this verse makes the chapter it occurs in special too because the topic is about Allah's unity as well as Allah's nature and attributes. This makes the doctrine lofty and extremely important.
We should be on full guard in preserving and maintaining Allah's transcendence (tanzih) and sovereignty. In other words, we should be pondering about Tawhid and its implications. Do we for example do anything that might compromise Allah's sovereignty or are we engaging in anything that might border on or infringe upon His right to be Legislator or Lawgiver.
Pondering over Ayat al-Kursi should make us feel humbled before the Majesty and Glory of Allah SWT. It should remind us of the sheer insignificant standing we have in comparison to Him and how this alerts us to the unjustified character of our haughtiness, arrogance and pride in making ourselves the standard in all things whereas only He has the right to set standards.
Through Islam, you are going to have a much better understanding of Allah. You will be capable of identifying Him as well as His role in your life. Aside from that, you will also be capable of communicating with Him any time you choose. Islam also assists an individual to know their roots as well as the reason why they are on earth. This is because it provides great answers to different philosophical questions.
2. Loyalty to Allah
Due to the first benefit of Islam in which you have better knowledge of Allah, you allegiance, obedience and loyalty will be to Allah only. You will undeniably put all your trust in Allah and follow Him prior to following anyone else.
May Allah make our efforts sincere and keep us all on the straight path...........

Witr Salah -most important daily prayer.
Which prayer is witr?
How is it prayed?
How many Rakaats?
Why we should pray Witr.
The reason why Imam Bukhari (ra) places the Book of Witr in his Saheeh after the Books of Jummah and Eid but before other prayers because it is also an important prayer other than the five Fard prayers.
Witr Salah is the most important daily prayer other than the five daily prayers. Some ullama consider Witr Salah to be wajib but others call it an emphasized Sunnah, but they all consider it to be obligatory. It is performed after Isha Salah and although it seems very simple, it is very complicated and detailed in its components and structure. The ullama mention 20 major issues (masail) where there are points of difference. Hence, the Book of Witr is very complicated.
Witr is sometimes pronounced watr, as in Surah al Fajr:
Sunnah indicates
Witr prayer is one of the greatest acts of worship that would draw one closer to Allah SWT.
When: The Beginning Of Its Time Or Later Part Of The Night?
The Sunnah indicates that if a person thinks he will be able to get up at the end of the night, it is better to delay it, because prayer at the end of the night is better and is witnessed (by the angels). But whoever fears that he would not be able to get up at the end of the night, he should pray Witr before he goes to sleep, because of the hadith of Jabber (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“Whoever fears that he will not get up at the end of the night, let him pray Witr at the beginning of the night, but whoever thinks that he will be able to get up at the end of the night, let him pray Witr at the end of the night, for prayer at the end of the night is witnessed (by the angels) and that is better.” [By: Muslim, 755].
........ How many Rakaats?
Imam Abu Hanifa (ra) says that the witr Salah consists of three rakaats with only one salaam, whereas the other Imam’s (ra) i.e. Imam Shafie (ra), Imam Ahmed (ra), Imam Malik (ra) say that the witr Salah is between 1 to 7 rakaats.
Generally, they perform the witr by reading 2 rakaats with one salaam and then read another Rakat separately with one salaam.
However, it should be borne in mind that the most preferable/ desirable view according to Imam Malik (ra) is that witr consists of 3 rakaats and the 1 Rakat practice is not acted upon by him or his followers.
(Muwatta Malik p110)
The four Imam’s have their own proofs from hadith.
Witr prayer is one of the greatest acts of worship that would draw one closer to Allah SWT. It is the most highly regarded Sunnah [Sunnah Mu’akadah] and was enjoined by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in more than one hadith.
Some of the scholars view since it is one of the Sunnah Mu’akadah the Muslim should observe regularly and not to neglect it whether traveling or not, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to do.
Abu Sa’id (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“Perform Witr before morning comes.” [Muslim (754)]
‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“O people of the Qur’an, pray Witr, for Allah is one and loves that which is odd-numbered.”
Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was on a journey, atop his mount, whichever direction it was facing, gesturing the motions of the night prayer, except the obligatory prayer, and he prayed Witr atop his mount.” [Al-Bukhari (1000) and Muslim (700)]
Ibn Qudaamah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Witr is not obligatory. This is the view of Malik and Al-Shafie.
Abu Hanifa said: it is obligatory. Then he said: Ahmad said: Whoever omits to pray Witr deliberately is a bad man, whose testimony should not be accepted. He wanted to emphasize that it is confirmed because of the hadith which say that it is enjoined and encouraged.
Note that there are several understandings derived from the hadiths that describe the method of the witr prayer by various scholars of the Islamic sciences.
The Hanafi understanding regarding the method of performing the witr in three rakaats with two sittings and one salaam is the preferred way to perform the witr prayer. This method of witr has been adopted from the practice of the Prophet (pbuh) found in various authentic hadiths.
Witr in 3 Rakaats
Aisha (ra) states, "... (after Tahajjud prayers), the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) would perform the prayer (witr) in three rakaats." (Bukhari)
Abdullah ibn Abbas (ra) narrates, "... and thereafter he (pbuh) would perform the witr three rakaats." (Muslim)
Witr in 3 Rakaats with Only One Salaam
Sa’eed Ibn Zubair (ra) reports, "The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) would recite in the witr prayer 'Sabbihis ma rabbikal Alaa' and in the second rak’ah 'Qul yaa ayah al Kafirun' and in the third rak’ah 'Qul hu WA Allahu Ahad' and he would not make salaam except at the end of them (three rakaats)" (Nasa’i)
Zurarah Ibn Auwfa (ra) narrates from SA’d Ibn Hisham (ra) that Aisha (ra) informed him that the Prophet (pbuh) would not make salaam after two rakaats of the witr prayer." Bukhari & Muslim. .)
Sa’d Ibn Hisham (ra) narrates from Aisha (ra), "When the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) would have performed Isha, he would enter the house and there after perform two rakaats and another two after them that were longer than the previous. There after, the Prophet (pbuh) would offer the witr prayer in three rakaats with no separation in the three rakaats." (Musnad Ahmed)
Anas Ibn Malik (ra) performed the witr prayer in three rakaats and only made salaam at the completion of the three rakaats. He than declared, "I learnt this from the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)". (Tahawi, Ilaa Al Sunan)
Anas Ibn Malik (ra) said, "O Abu Muhammad, take from me (the understanding of the deen), for indeed I have taken from the Prophet (pbuh) and the Prophet (pbuh) has taken from Allah. You will never find anyone more reliable than me". The narrator mentions, "After saying this, Anas (ra) performed six rakaats making the salaam at the end of every two rakaats. Thereafter he performed the witr prayer in three rakaats making salaam at the end of the three rakaats". (Ruyani, Ibn Asakir, Ilaa Al Sunan, and Kanz Al Ummal - This hadith reaches the status of Marfoo)
Miswar Ibn Makhramah (ra) says, "We were with Abu Bakr (ra) one evening when Omar (ra) exclaimed, "I have not performed the witr prayer". He stood up and we assembled in the lines of prayer behind him. He led the witr prayer for us in three rakaats and he did not make salaam in between them (the three rakaats) apart from the very last rak’ah". (Tahawi)
Abdullah Ibn Masood (ra) says, "The witr prayer is three rakaats like the witr of the day; Maghrib prayer". (Tahawi)
Abu Zinad (ra) narrates from the seven personalities; Sa’eed ibn Al Musayyib, Urwah Ibn Al Zubair, Qasim Ibn Muhammad, Abu Bakr Ibn Abd Al Rahman, Kharijah Ibn Zaid, Ubaid Allah Ibn Abdullah, and Suleiman Ibn Yasar (may Allah be pleased with all of them) amongst many leaders of jurisprudence, righteousness, and rectification. When ever this group would have a difference amongst them, in a matter, they would take the opinion of the majority and the most upright. From amongst that which I had carefully preserved from all of them, according to this description, was that the witr prayer is three rakaats and one is not to make salaam except at the end of the three rakaats. (Tahawi)
Umar Ibn Abd Al Aziz (ra) had established the witr prayer in Madinah according to the opinion of the learned jurists as three rakah’s, with no salaam except at the completion of the three rak’ah. (Tahawi, Aathaar Al Sunan)
Ubayy Ibn Ka`b said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite in Witr Sabbih isma ra bika al-‘alaa (“Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High” – Surah Al-Alaa, 87), Qul yaa ayyuha’l-kaafirun (“Say: O Disbeliever…” – Surah al-Kafirun, 109) and Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad (“Say: He is Allah, the One” – Surah Al-Ikhlas, 112).
“O people of the Qur’an, pray Witr, for Allah is one and loves that which is odd-numbered.”
"When my heart became constricted and my paths became narrow - I took my hope in Your pardon and forgiveness as an opening and an escape - My sins seemed very great to me but when I compared them to Your forgiveness My Lord, I found Your forgiveness to be greater" - Imam Shafi' (ra).

All sins committed before coming to Islam are forgiven
Call to Islam .
Why Be A Muslim.
I Seek refuge in Allah from knowledge that brings no wisdom, from a heart that lack kindness, from desires that bring discontent, and from supplications that go unanswered. - Messenger of Allah May Allah's peace and blessings be on him.
It's not true that you'll lose your culture. Lots of people misunderstand this. In the West, it is thought that when somebody becomes a Muslim, he becomes an Arab too.
This confusion is only brought up by narrow minded people who don't understand. Allah has made us too many races, many cultures and many languages too. It is one of the beauties of the many creations of Allah that we have our own culture and we should appreciate it.
* Islam does not conflict with man's intellect and natural disposition.
You don't have to worry about that. The Arabic language has been chosen as the International language for Muslims. The original form of the Quran to the humans on this earth is Arabic. So, we need to learn it in order to understand and appreciate it. Allah chose an Arab leader, our beloved prophet Mohammed SAW to begin the mission or conveying the message of Islam to mankind. Perhaps, it's because the Arabs are hard headed people and Allah wanted to improve them. If you notice, Moses and Jesus' mission was to spread the religion to the Israelites. Islam at that time was in a different form and name and therefore, it was incomplete. It was only during the prophet's time where Allah announced that on that very day, Allah has completed the religion for mankind
Similarly, we shouldn't be selfish of our own culture. We should share it between our Muslim brothers and sisters. Islam is a religion, not a race. An English parent would give birth to an English child, but a Muslim parent might not give birth to a Muslim child.
* Allah says:
"This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion" [Quran 5:3)
Allah gave this favour to the whole of humanity. Therefore any one can become a Muslim no matter what his/her race, language or colour is. No matter whether they are single, married, divorced or a child.
All sins committed before coming to Islam are forgiven. No matter how bad they were. They are forgiven. One who converts to Islam is totally reborn and starts with a clean record.
It is the last Divine Religion revealed to man.
Islam recognizes previous divine revelations. On the other hand, Jews do not recognize Jesus, and the Christians do not recognize Muhammad; whereas, Muslims recognize Moses and Jesus, may Allah exalt their mention
In Islam humans relates with their Lord in all matters and conditions.
Islam is the only Religion which has not been distorted or changed.
Harry G. Dorman said:
'It (the Quran) is literal Revelation of God, dictated to Muhammad by Gabriel, perfect in every letter. It is an ever-present miracle witnessing to itself and to Muhammad, the Prophet of God. Its miraculous quality resides partly in its style, so perfect and lofty that neither man nor jinn could produce a single chapter to compare with its briefest chapter, and partly in its content of teachings, prophecies about the future, and amazingly accurate information such as the illiterate Muhammad could never have gathered of his own accord.'34
Islam is the Religion which covers the material and spiritual aspects of life. It did not neglect even the slightest of things in a Muslim's life. Abdurrahman b. Zaid said that it was said to Salman:
'Your Prophet has taught you everything, even how to relieve yourselves? Salman said: 'Of course, he forbade us to face the direction of the Qiblah while defecating or urinating, or to clean oneself with his right hand, or to use less than three stones, or to use bone or dung (to clean oneself).' (Muslim)
W. Thomas Arnold said: 'Sense of justice is one of the most wonderful ideals of Islam, because as I read in the Quran I find those dynamic principles of life, not mystic but practical ethics for the daily conduct of life suited to the whole world.'
Islam satisfies the man's bodily and spiritual needs in equilibrium. It refuses that one aspect be given precedence over the other.
Prince Charles said:
'Islam can teach us today a way of understanding and living in the world which Christianity itself is poorer for having lost. Islam refuses to separate man and nature, religion and science, mind and matter.'
Translations of the Quran and other Islamic books can be found in abundance all over the world.
Islam is the Religion for humankind at large, regardless of their education, time and place which, in contrast to previous religions were sent to a specific people during a specific time. For example, if a person wants to become a Jew, he has to be born a Jew. Jesus said about Christianity: 'I was sent to the lost sheep of the Children of Israel.'
Quran written with gold
This copy of the Quran written with liquid gold on papyrus proves the Muslims concern for preserving the Quran.
One of the proofs that Islam is a universal religion and that it is fit for all people at all times, regardless of their race or language it is the word of God:
'O you who covers himself with a garment! Arise and warn. And your Lord glorify.' (74:1-3)
In these verses God commands His Prophet to openly call to Islam, so he called his people to worship God alone, and to cast aside all false deities. He was harmed by his people, yet he remained steadfast and merciful, he sent letters to the Kings of his time and invited them to accept Islam. Among those whom he wrote to were the Emperor of Rome, the Emperor of Persia, and the King of Abyssinia. If the message of Prophet Muhammad was not a universal one, he would not have invited the rulers of different kingdoms close to Arabia to accept Islam!
This would possibly open more than one front with adversaries who were well equipped and great in number. Why would he venture to do something like this, if it were not but a divine Message from God, which he was ordered to convey to mankind at large!
Letter to the Negus, King of Abyssinia
Translation: From Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, To the Negus, King of Abyssinia. Peace be upon him who follows the Guidance. I am grateful to Allah, there is no god but Him, and I bear witness that Jesus son of Mary was no more than a spirit created by Him, and His word (“Be”! - and he was) which He bestowed on Mary, the Virgin, the good, the pure, so that she conceived Jesus. Allah created Him as He created Adam by His Hand. I call you to worship Allah Alone, and not to associate any partner with Him and (I call you) to His obedience and to follow me and to believe in that which was revealed to me, for I am the Messenger of Allah. I invite you and your men to Allah, the Exalted. I bear witness that I have communicated my message. I invite you to listen and accept my advice. Peace be upon him who follows true guidance.
The Messenger of God said: 'This matter (i.e. the religion of Islam) will become apparent as night and day. Every person in a city or desert area will come to know of this religion, by means of might or disgrace. Might by which Islam is honored and disgrace by which God disgraces disbelief.' (Ahmed)
Letter to Heracles the Emperor of Rome
Translation: I begin with the name of Allah, the Compassionate, and the most Merciful. From Muhammad b. Abdullah the Messenger of God, to Heracles the Emperor of Rome (He was the Emperor of the Byzantine Empire [610-641] who captured Syria, Palestine, and Egypt from Persia [613-628] ). Peace be upon him who follows the guidance. I call you to Islam. Accept Islam and you will be safe. God will give you your reward double-fold. If you forsake the message of God, you will carry the sin of all your followers. (Say: "O People of the Book! Come to common terms between us and you: that we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah. If then they turn back, say you: 'Bear witness that we are Muslims (submitting to Allah's Will).) (3:64)
Letter to Moqoqas the Ruler of the Christians in Egypt
Translation: I begin with the name of Allah, the Compassionate, and the most Merciful. Letter From Muhammad b. Abdullah the Messenger of God to Moqoqas the Ruler of the Christians in Egypt. Peace be upon him who follows the guidance. I call you to Islam. Accept Islam and you will be safe. God will give you your reward double-fold. We must not be afraid to change whatever we have done wrong. Allah is merciful. He forgives as long as you sincerely repent and make sure never to repeat the same mistakes again. Allah won't punish somebody who realizes that he has done wrong about something and decides to return to the true path.
This problem usually happens to people with high status, especially teachers of religious schools. Some of them think that if they suddenly tell people that they have done wrong, and tell them the correct thing, people will look down at them, and will ask them what they have been doing all the time.
I call you to Islam. Accept Islam and you will be safe.Go on Think about it my friend, Why Islam? .

Today Hearts Are Rusting Because Of the Intensity Of Sins
Fear prevents a person from sin, and today hearts are rusting because of the intensity of sins that we have committed.
This is not to say that people are not doing good deeds, because they are.
However, good deeds and sins are taking place side by side, which is counterproductive. A good deed is offering prayer in the masjid. However, when walking home our eyes are wandering and looking at forbidden things, and therefore we waste the good effects that being in the masjid had on our hearts.
Likewise, reading the Holy Quran is a good deed but then we also lie throughout the day. Many women pray Tahajjud (the night vigil) but also go out in public with their heads uncovered. Why are people engaged in both good and bad at the same time? This is because we don’t fear Allah as we should.
People will only refrain from committing all wrong when they understand the greatness and glory of Allah. Such people do exist in this world, and they know that if they commit any wrong, they will have to stand and answer very shortly. Hadrat Ibn Qayyim writes, “Do not ponder on whether the sin is big or small. Rather reflect upon the greatness of Whom you are disobeying.”
It is very ironic that parents become prepared to beat and even throw their child out of the house if the child does not obey after repeated requests. Allah is so Merciful and so Gracious that He has not once threatened to expel us from His fold despite our repeated and stubborn disobedience. Allah can also most certainly tell us to leave Him and search for another provider and sustainer. However, Allah is Merciful and Forgiving and therefore keeps giving us chances to reform.
Anas [ibn Malik] said:
One day when the Messenger of God, May God bless him and give him peace, was seated [amongst us], we saw him laugh and laugh until his teeth were showing. 'Umar asked: "What makes you laugh, O Messenger of God, you for whom I would give my own father and mother?" He replied:
Two men of my community were kneeling before the Lord of
Might, ever exalted is He, and one of them said: "O my Lord,
Retrieve for me what my brother has wrongfully taken from me!"
He said [to the accused]: "Give back to your brother what you have wrongfully taken from him."
But my Lord," he replied, "nothing of merit has been left to me."
"Then my Lord," said [the first], "let him carry some of my burden.
The eyes of the Messenger of Allah (God), May Allah (God) give him blessings and peace, filled with tears, and he said: "Indeed that is a fearful day, when people will need someone to carry part of their burden."
Then he continued:
And Allah (God), ever mighty and majestic is He, said to the plaintiff:
"Raise your head and look towards the Gardens of Paradise."
He raised his eyes and exclaimed: "My Lord, I see cities of silver and palaces of gold, crowned with pearls. To which prophet or martyr does it belong?"
Allah (God) replied: "It belongs to whoever pays Me the price."
He asked: "And who, my Lord, will own it?"
Allah (God) replied: "You will."
He asked: "But how shall I do that, my Lord?
Allah (God) replied: "By pardoning your brother."
He said: "My Lord, I have already pardoned him!"
Allah (God), ever exalted is He, said: "Now take your brother by the hand, and lead him into Paradise."
Then the Messenger of God added:
"Fear Allah (God), and promote peace and reconciliation amongst yourselves,
For surely God shall establish peace among the faithful on the Day of Resurrection.".....Prophet (Peace be upon him).
Don't judge those who try and fail, judge those who fail to try
"Where the willingness is great, the difficulties cannot be great"
Allah is forgiving so my friend for us let this be a new day a new start with following the Sunna.
"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will.
You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good."
And Remember
"Allah (God), ever exalted is He, said: "Now take your brother by the hand, and lead him into Paradise"
As Muslims we should aim for the highest level of being Muslims by having ihsan, which according to the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi Wasallam) is “... to worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you.” (Bukhari 1/47, 6/300 and Muslim1) We should be Mu’hsinoon or Muttaqoon (God conscious or God-fearing Muslims). (Ah! I’ll Blog about this)
This means that we have to remember and fear Allah (Subhanahu WA Ta’aala) at all times...
"I know it seems hard sometimes, but remember one thing, through every dark night, there's a bright day after that. So no matter how hard it gets, keep your chest out, keep your head up and handle it."...
And remember when you chose not to decide you have already made a choice!

Recite Surah Al Fatiha and reap your rewards
Still Blogging About He!He!He!
Surah: Al Fatiha.
Do you know this Sura?
If not learn it so “You" can offer your prayers.
Surah Fatiha (The Opening) is the most important Surah of the Holy Qur'an and no Muslim prayer is complete without it according to the following hadith1 of the Holy Prophet Muhammad:
'Ubaydah b. as-Samit reported God's messenger as saying, "He who does not recite Fatihat al-Kitab (Surah Fatiha) is not credited with having observed prayer."
The Arabic words Fatiha indicates an opening, beginning or commencement, and is derived from the root f-t-h which means to open, unlock, reveal, and conquer.
Abu Hurairah radiyallaahu anhu reported that when Allah’s Messenger sallallaahu alaihi Wasallam once asked Ubayy ibn Ka`b radiyallaahu anhu, what he recited in his prayers. He replied Umm-ul Qur’an (Surah Fatiha) the Holy Prophet proclaimed,
"By Him in whose dominion my soul is, nothing like it has been revealed in the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, or the Qur’an and it are seven of the oft-repeated verses in the Mighty Qur’an which I have been given."
Surah Al Fatiha is a Makki Surah (i.e. revealed before Hijra of Prophet (saw)).
Salah (prayer) began in the very early days of Islam and Prophet Hood. In fact, who was the first person to pray in jama’a (congregation) with the Prophet? It was Khadija radiyallaahu `anha (may Allah be pleased with her). The first person to ever pray, and to be taught Salah was Khadija bint Khuwaylid (ra).
5th Surah to be revealed in Chronology
Al-Fatiha was an early Surah. Salah started in Makkah in the early days, twice a day: once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Through Isra and Miraj, it was changed to five times a day.
Some ullama said that al-Fatiha was revealed in Makkah, as it is mentioned in Surat al-Hijr. By the agreement of the scholars, Surat al-Hijr (15) is a Meccan Surah. In the Surah, Allah says “And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur’an.” (15:87).
• It was the first Surah (Chapter) that was revealed completely
• The first 3 verses glorify Allah and the rest of the ayahs (Verses) are a prayer/dua (Invocation)
• We recite Surah Fatiha 17 times in our Salah daily. It is the most recited Surah.
• This is the greatest Surah of the Qur’an
• Al-Fatiha literally means ‘The Opening’
1 Because it is the opening of the Quran
2 Prayer opens with Surah Al-Fatiha
3 It is the opening of the door to guidance itself
Surah AL - Fatiha ah is one of the very earliest revelations. Infect, we learn from authentic traditions that it was the first complete Surah revealed to the Prophet (Peace be upon him). Before this, only a few miscellaneous verses were revealed which form parts of Surah Al-Alaq, Al- - Muzammil and Al - Muddathir.
This Surah is called Al- Fatiha ah; the Opener of the Book and the Surah with which prayers are begun.
It is the greatest Surah in the Qur’an, and it is also called Umm Al-Kitab (Mother of the Book), because it contains the meanings of the entire Qur’an. Other names for this Surah are; Salah, Al-hamd, Umm al-Qur'an...
Number of Ayat
There is consensus of majority of the scholars; from early generations that
Surah Al - Fatiha contains seven ayat. However, they disagree over whether
Bismillah is a part of Al-Fatiha, and likewise every Surah or it is a separate ayah. The first opinion, that Bismillah is a part of every Surah except Surah Al- Tauba, is attributed to some Companions (May Allah be pleased with them all), Imam As-Shafi, He state that
Bismillah is a part of Al-Fatiha and the last ayat; “The Way of those whom you have favored” and “not of those who have earned your wrath, or of those who have lost The Way.” are not separate ayat but a single ayah. On the other hand, Imam Malik, Imam Abu Hanifa and their follower’s say that Bismillah is not an ayah in AL- Fatiha ah or any other Surah and it is a separate ayah in the beginning of every ayah. But there is no disagreement over the matter that Al- Fatiha has seven ayat. Those who consider last two ayat as one ayah include Bismillah in it and those who consider the last two as separate say Bismillah Not a part of it.
Virtues of Surah Fatiha
Abu Sa’eed ibn Al-Mu’alla radiyallaahu anhu said,
"While I was praying in the Masjid, the Prophet Sallallaahu alaihi Wasallam called me. I did not answer him then, but went to him afterwards and explained that I had been praying, whereupon he asked me whether Allah Ta’aala had not said, ‘Respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you.’ adding, ‘let me teach you the greatest Surah in the Qur’an before you leave the Masjid.’ He then took me by the hand and when we were about to go out I reminded him of his promise to me that he would teach me the greatest Surah in the Qur’an. He said, Surah Fatiha which is the seven oft-repeated verses in the Mighty Qur’an which has been given to me."
Hasan al Basri (ra), many years ago, said something which when I read it, and my teacher told it to me when I was memorizing Qur’an with him, Subhan’Allah it really shook me. And every time I hear it, it really touches me. He says that God Almighty, Allah, sent some 100 or more books from the heavens and He condensed these books into four books: the Torah, Zabur, Injil, and Qur’an. This is amazing. Then Allah took these four books and condensed them into the Qur’an. Then Allah took all of the knowledge in the Qur’an and condensed it from Surah al-Hujurat (the 49th chapter of the Quran) all the way to Surah al-Nas. Then He took all of that—from 100 or so something, to four, to the Quran, to what’s called al-Mufassal (from the 49th chapter to the end)—He took all of that and condensed it in al-Fatiha. “Subhan’Allah”. Then He took all of that and condensed it into:
1:5
“It is you we worship and you we ask for help.” (Qur’an, 1:5)
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH), who said:
A prayer performed by someone who has not recited the Essence of the Quran (1) during it is deficient (and he repeated the word three times), incomplete. Someone said to Abu Hurayrah: [Even though] we are behind the imam? (2) He said: Recite it to yourself, for I have heard the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be up on him) say: Allah (mighty and sublime be He), had said: I have divided prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. When the servant says: Al-hamdu lillaahi rabbi l-Alamin (3), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: My servant has praised Me. And when he says: Ar-Rahman r-Rahim (4), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: My servant has extolled Me, and when he says: Maliki yawmil d-din (5), Allah says: My servant has glorified Me - and on one occasion He said: My servant has submitted to My power. And when he says: Iyyaka na’ budu wa Iyyaka nasta in (6), He says: This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. And when he says: Ihdina s-Sirat l- Mustaqeem, siratal ladhina an amta alayhim ghayril-maghdubi alayhim WA la d-dallin (7), He says: This is for my servant, and my servant shall have what he has asked for.
The essence of Surah Al-Fatiha is that mankind is crying out to the Glorious Creator and Sustainer: “O Almighty Rabb ul Alamin! Help me and show me the Right Path, the Royal highway leading to the Path of Seerathal Mustaqeem”.
SURAH FATIHA IS BEAUTIFUL, AND SUMS UP WHAT IT IS TO BE A MUSLIM.

Armed with these definitions and your own insight, you may enjoy creating your own poetic interpretation of al-Fâtiha in order to explore some of the many meanings and interpretations... just go through the Fâtiha word-by-word, inserting the meaning of each word that seems to speak to your heart, such as:
1) In the name of Allah, the Ever-Merciful One Who is endlessly Beneficent, and Who Graciously rewards those who live in Divine harmony,
2) every manner of this praise and joyful gratitude is for the glory of Allah, the one Lord of all of creation,
3) the One who is forever lovingly beneficent and who rewards those who surrender to a life of harmony and righteousness,
4) Owner of the Moment of Awakening,
5) You alone do we adore and from You alone do we seek aid.
6) (You are) guiding us on the glorious path of harmony and righteousness,
7) the way of those who have accepted your loving blessings and not the way of those who have anger over them nor of those who have gone astray.
Allah will make it easy for all of us.

A healing to 'those who believe-Qur'an
Qur’an is the cure
Dua of a sick person is readily accepted
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said, ‘When you visit a sick person, then tell him to make dua for you, because his duas are (accepted readily) like the duas of the Angels.’ (Ibn Majah)
“While Jibril (alayhi salaam) was sitting with the
Prophet, he heard a sound above him and raised his head. He said, ‘This is a door of heaven which has been opened today and which has never been opened before today. An angel descended from it.’ He said, ‘This is an angel who has descended to earth who has never descended before today.’
He gave the greeting and said, “Give the good news of two lights which you have been given and which no Prophet before you was given: the Fatiha of the Book and the end of Surah al-Baqarah (2). You will not recite a letter of them without being given it.”
[Muslim,
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has also said, ‘The dua of a sick person is not rejected until he recovers from his sickness.’ (Ibn Abi dunya)
Thabit and I went to Anas bin Malik. Thabit said, “O Abu Hamza! I am sick.” On that Anas said, “Shall I treat you with the Ruqya of Allah’s Apostle?” Thabit said, “Yes,” Anas recited, “O Allah! The Lord of the people, the Remover of trouble! (Please) cure (Heal) (this patient), for you are the Healer. None brings about healing but you; a healing that will leave behind no ailment.”
Hadrat Aisha (Radiyallaahu anha) relates that whenever Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) would become ill, he would recite the Mu’awwizaat (Surah al-Falaq and Surah an-Nas) and then blow his breath over himself and rub his hands over his (auspicious) body. (Bukhari and Muslim) She also says that when anyone in his family was sick, he would recite the Mu’awwizaat and blow onto the sick person’s body. (Sahih Muslim)
Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu anhu) reported that when Allah’s Messenger (sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) asked Ubayy ibn Ka`b (radiyallaahu anhu), “Do you want me to
Teach you a Surah the like of which has not been revealed in the Torah, the Injil, the Zabur, nor the Qur’an?”, and also asked what he recited in his prayers. He replied Umm-ul Qur’an (Surah Fatiha) the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam)
proclaimed, ‘By Him in whose dominion my soul is, nothing like it has been revealed in the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, or the Qur’an and it is seven of the oft- Repeated verses in the Mighty Qur’an which I have been given’
We send down in the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers, but it only increases the wrongdoers in loss. (Surat al-Isra’, 82)
If we had made it a Qur’an in a foreign tongue they would have said, ‘Why have its Signs not been made plain? What! “A foreign language for an Arab”?’ Say: ‘It is guidance and healing for people who believe. Those who do not believe have heaviness in their ears and for them it is blindness. Such people are being called from a very distant place.’ (Surah Fussilet, 44)
Cure: Allah mentions a sick person and says that the Qur’an is the cure. Those with sickness in their hearts will submit themselves to the doctor and get themselves cured. The important matter is to accept their sickness and want to get cured and submit themselves to the doctor.
Allah said that his Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) said,
"And He feeds me and quenches my thirst and when I fall sick then He (Allah) cures me." Surah Ash-Shura (The Poets) ... 80,
Some scholars of Tafseer explain that there is a relation between what we eat and drink and falling sick since most people fall ill because of their diet. This could be a reason why Allah mentioned that Ibrahim (peace be upon him) recognized that Allah is the One who provides sustenance for us but that sickness is due to our own self and this is why sickness is mentioned after food and drink in this Verse.
"And we sent down of the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe." [Surah Isra: 82]
A healing to 'those who believe" showing the importance of rectifying our belief and actions such that we are true believers if we want the Qur'an to benefit us.
Ayyub (peace be upon him) called upon his Lord, "And remember Ayyub when he cried to his Lord: Verily, distress has seized me, and you are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy." [Surah al-Anbiyaa: 83] When, he was inflicted with harm.
And the reply came from his lord:
"We answered him and removed the distress that was on him" [Surah al-Anbiyaa: 84]
"O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (Qur'an) enjoining all that is good and forbidding all that is evil, and a healing for that which is in your breasts, a guidance and a mercy for the believers." [Surah Yunus: 57]
This shows us that the Qur'an has four benefits:
A good advice
Cure for our hearts from all diseases
Guidance
Mercy for mankind
"Say: it (the Qur'an) is a healing for those who believe a guide and healing" [Surah Fussilet: 44]
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: There is no-one who is afflicted by distress and grief, and says: Allaahumma inni abduka ibn abdika ibn amatika naasiyatee bi yadika, maada fi hukmika, adlun fi qadaaika. As’aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitaabika aw allamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw istatharta bihi fi ilm il-ghayb indaka an tajal al-Quraana Rabee qalbee wa noor sadri wa jalaa’a huznee wa dhihaab hammi (O Allah, I am Your slave, son of Your male and female slave, my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the Unseen with You, that You make the Quran the harvest of my heart and the light of my chest, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety), but Allah will take away his distress and grief, and replace it with joy. He was asked:
O Messenger of Allah, should we learn this? He said: Of course; everyone who hears it should learn it.
"And if Allah tests you with affliction, there is none who can remove it but He" [Surah Yunus: 107]
"And He will give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people." [Surah Tawba: 14]
When you sleep read ayat al-Kursi
Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "When you are about to sleep recite Ayatul Kursi till the end of the Verse for there will remain for you a protection from Allah and no devil will draw to you until morning." [Saheeh al-Bukhari]
The last two Verses of Surah al-Baqara
The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, whoever recites the last two Verses of Surah al-Baqara at night, those two Verses shall be sufficient for him." [Saheeh al-Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim]
The last three chapter of the Qur'an
When retiring to his bed every night, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would hold his palms together, blow into them, recite the last three chapters of the Qur'an and then wipe his entire body as much as possible with his hands, beginning with the head and face and then all parts of the body, he would do this three times." [Saheeh al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Surah al-Falaq and Surah Nas
Aisha said "when someone fell ill from the Prophet's family he did 'nafath' on them (to blow three times over them reciting the two chapters of seeking refuge -Surah al-Falaq and Surah Nas). When he himself fell ill, the illness which lead to his death I would (similarly) do 'nafath' on him and would wipe him with his own hands for it was more blessed that my hands. [Saheeh Muslim]
We turn to Allah in distress
Allah said regarding Dhun Nun (Lord of the Fish) when called upon Allah to remove his distress and Allah replied,
"We answered his call and delivered him from the distress. And thus we do deliver the believers." [Surah anbiyaa: 87, 88]
We turn to Allah when people try to harm us
"And you will remember what I am telling you, and I leave my affair with Allah, verily Allah is ever watchful over His slaves." [Surah Ghâfir: 44]
And after it Allah said:
"So Allah saved him from the evils that they plotted (against him), while an evil torment encompassed Fir'aun's people." [Surah Ghâfir: 45]
Surah Fatiha is a cure
It is also a cure when read over the sick. They are cured by the permission of Allah because the Prophet said to Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) after he read it over a person who had been bitten by a scorpion and was cured, How did you come to know that it is a cure?
The easy way out for those with sickness in their hearts is this: it is possible to turn back from being a hypocrite and this is stated in the Qur’an. But those with sickness in their hearts are already believers. Believers pray to Allah for the sickness in their hearts to go away. Believers have a prayer: “Our Lord, remove the sickness from our hearts.” Therefore having sickness in one’s heart is a situation that a Muslim can face and easily find a cure. He can avoid it by praying and holding onto causes.
Ten Sicknesses of the Heart
1. You believe in the existence of Allah Ta’aala, but you do not fulfill his commands.
2. You say you love the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Sallallaahu 'alaihi Wasallam), but you do not follow his Sunnah (i.e., his example).
3. You Read The Qur'an but you do not put it into practice.
4. You enjoy all the benefits from Allah Ta’aala, but you are not grateful to him.
5. You acknowledge Shaitan as your enemy, but you do not go against him.
6. You want to enter paradise, but you do not work for it.
7. You do not want to be thrown into hell-fire, but you do not try to get away (i.e., do good deeds).
8. You believe that every living-thing will face death, but you do not prepare for it.
9. You gossip and find faults in others, but you forgot your own faults and mistakes.
10. You bury the dead, but you do not take a lesson from it.
Read all or some of the surahs above and blow on your children husband, wife, and friends.
Allah will make it easy for all of us.
May Allah make our efforts sincere and keep us all on the straight path...........

Surah al Waqiah is the Surah of Wealth --Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA),
Read Surah al-Waqiah every night. (WHY?).(Surah Al-Waqiah, 57)
Who went to Kufah to educate the people and to take charge of the Bait-ul-Maal?
Who gave up tending sheep in exchange for looking after the needs of the blessed Prophet (pbuh)?
Why the Sahabas did take to calling him Sahib-e-Siwak (bearer of the Siwak), Saheb-e-Nalaen (bearer of the slippers), Saheb-e-Mutahara (bearer of the water) and also Saheb-e-Wisadah (bearer of the bedroll)?
Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) was of the tribe of Banu Huzail and was also the sworn ally of Banu Zahra. When he was still a youth, not yet past the age of puberty, he used to roam the mountain trails of Makkah far away from people, tending the flocks of a Quraish chieftain, Uqbah Ibn Muayt. People called him ‘Ibn Umm Abd’, the son of the mother of a slave. His real name was Abdullah and his fathers name was Masood.
The youth had heard the news of the Prophet (pbuh) whom had appeared among his people but he did not attach any importance to it both because of his age and because he was usually far away from Meccan society. It was his habit to leave with the flock of Uqbah early in the morning and not return until nightfall.
One day While he was tending his herd, Abdullah (RA) saw two men, middle-aged and of dignified bearing, coming towards him from a distance. They were obviously very thirsty and tired. They came up to him, greeted him and said, ‘Young man, milk one of these sheep for us that we may quench our thirst and recover our strength.’
‘I cannot,’ replied the young man. ‘The sheep are not mined. I am only responsible for looking after them.’
The two men did not argue with him. In fact, despite their thirst, they were extremely pleased at his honest reply. The two men were the blessed Prophet (pbuh) himself and his companion, Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA). They had gone out on that day to the mountains of Makkah to escape the violent persecution of the Quraish.
The young man in turn was impressed with the Prophet (pbuh) and his companion and soon became quite attached to them.
Acceptance of Islam:
It was not long before Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) became a Muslim and offered to be in the service of the Prophet (pbuh). The Prophet (pbuh) agreed and from that day, the fortunate Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) gave up tending sheep in exchange for looking after the needs of the blessed Prophet (pbuh). He was the sixth man to accept Islam. Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) remained closely attached to the Prophet (pbuh). He would attend to his needs both inside and outside the house. He would accompany him on journeys and expeditions. He would wake him when he slept. He would shield him when he washed. He would carry his staff and his Siwak (toothbrush) and attend to his other personal needs. It was for these reasons that the Sahabas took to calling him Sahib-e-Siwak (bearer of the Siwak), Saheb-e-Nalaen (bearer of the slippers), Saheb-e-Mutahara (bearer of the water) and also Saheb-e-Wisadah (bearer of the bedroll).
The Prophet's Appreciation:
Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) received a unique training in the household of the Prophet (pbuh). He was under the guidance of the Prophet (pbuh), he adopted his manner and followed his every trait until it was said of him, ‘He was the closest to the Prophet (pbuh) in character.’ Abdullah was often mistaken as one of the Blessed Household. Abu Musa Ashari (RA) says, ‘When we came from Yemen, we thought for some time that Abdullah (RA) was a member of the Blessed Household, because Abdullah (RA) and his mother were constantly coming and going in the Prophet (pbuh) presence. Furthermore, the Prophet (pbuh) once said to Abdullah (RA), “O Abdullah (RA), you do not need permission to enter my house. You are always welcome.”
Abdullah Ibn Masood's Quran:
Abdullah (RA) was the best at reciting the Qur’an among the companions and he understood it better than them all. He was therefore the most knowledgeable on the Shari`ah. Nothing can illustrate this better than the story of the man who came to Mar Ibn al-Khattab as he was standing on the plain of Arafat and said: ‘I have come, O Amir al-Muminin, from Kufah where I left a man filling copies of the Qur’an from memory.’ Umar (RA) became very angry and paced up and down beside his camel, fuming. ‘Who is he?’ he asked. ‘Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) ,’ replied the man. Umar's (RA) anger subsided and he regained his composure. ‘Woe to you,’ he said to the man. ‘By Allah, I don't know of any person left who is more qualified in this matter than he is. Let me tell you about this.’ Umar (RA) continued: ‘One night the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was having a conversation with Abu Bakr (RA) about the situation of Muslims. I was with them. When the Prophet (pbuh) left, we left with him also and as we passed through the mosque, there was a man standing in Prayer whom we did not recognize. The Prophet (pbuh) stood and listened to him, then turned to us and said, “Whoever wants to read the Qur’an as fresh as when it was revealed, then let him read according to the recitation of Ibn Umm Abd (RA).”
After the Prayer, as Abdullah (RA) sat making supplications, the Prophet (pbuh) said, “Ask and it will be given to you. Ask and it will be given to you.” I said to myself, I should go to Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) straight away and tell him the good news of the Prophet’s (pbuh) ensuring acceptance of his supplications. I went and did so but found that Abu Bakr (RA) had gone before me and conveyed the good news to him. By Allah, I have never yet beaten Abu Bakr (RA) in the doing of any good.’ In another Hadith, the Prophet (pbuh) said, ‘Learn the Qur’an from four people, Abdullah Ibn Masood, Salem Maula Abi Huzaifah, Ubayy Ibn Ka`b and Muaz Ibn Jabal.’ The Prophet (pbuh) has also said, ‘Read the Qur’an in the same manner as Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) teaches.’
Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) attained such knowledge of the Qur’an that he would say, ‘By Him besides whom there is no Allah, no verse of the book of Allah has been revealed without my knowing where it was revealed and the circumstances of its revelation. By Allah, if I know there was anyone who knew more of the Book of Allah, I will do whatever is in my power to be with him.’
Abdullah (RA) was not exaggerating in what he said about himself. Once, Umar Ibn al-Khattab (RA) met a caravan on one of his journeys as caliph. It was pitch dark and the caravan could not be seen properly. Umar (RA) ordered someone to hail the caravan. It happened that Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) was in it.
‘From where do you come?’ asked Umar (RA). ‘From a deep valley,’ came the reply, using the Quranic expression - fajj amiq.‘And where are you going?’ asked Umar (RA).‘ To the ancient house,’ came the reply, using the Quranic expression - al-Bayt al-atiq. ‘There is a learned person (alim) among them,’ said Umar (RA) and he commanded someone to ask the person, ‘Which part of the Qur’an is the greatest?’ “Allah There is no Deity except Him, the Living, the Self-subsisting. Neither slumber overtakes Him nor sleep,’ replied the person answering, quoting the Ayah al-Kursi (the verse of the Throne). ‘Which part of the Qur’an is the most clear on justice?’ ‘Allah commands what it just and fair, the feeding of relatives,’ ‘what it the most comprehensive statement of the Qur’an?’ ‘Whoever does an atoms weight of good shall see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil shall see it.’ ‘Which part of the Qur’an gives risk to the greatest hope?’
‘Say, O my servants, who have wasted their resources, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. He is the Forgiving, the Compassionate.’ Thereupon Umar (RA) asked, ‘Is Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) among you? ‘Yes, by Allah,’ the men in the caravan replied.
The Prophet (pbuh) had always desired to make Ibn Masood (RA) a leader of men, as it is clear from the following words of the Prophet (pbuh), ‘If I was to make anyone a leader over someone without consulting anyone, I would make Ibn Masood (RA) a leader.’
Abdullah's Knowledge:
Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) would refrain from narrating Hadith in fear of mistakes. However when he did narrate a Hadith, he was very particular and precocious in what he attributed to the Prophet (pbuh). He would turn pale and quake in fear whenever he accidentally attributed something to the Prophet (pbuh), even though the Prophet (pbuh) has said, ‘Whatever Ibn Masood (RA) narrates to you, believe him.’ Whenever he gave a verdict, he would attribute it to himself, saying that it was his own opinion and that it was from Allah if it was correct and that it was from himself and Satan, if it was incorrect. For this reason, many Fatwa’s have been attributed to Abdullah (RA) instead of the Prophet (pbuh).
‘A man married a woman, then he passed away before he could consummate his wedding or set a dowry for his wife. When the issue was placed before the Sahabas, they advised them to go to Abdullah (RA). When they came to Abdullah (RA), he tried to avoid them and told them to ask someone else. Finally he relented and said, “The woman will receive Mehr-e-Mithl. If the verdict is correct, it is of Allah. If it is incorrect, then it is of Satan and I. Neither Allah and the Prophet (pbuh) are responsible for it.” A Sahabi by the name of Maakal Ibn Al-Ashjai (RA) was also present and he said, “I swear by Allah, you have given the same verdict that the Prophet (pbuh) gave in the favour of Broan Bint Washile Al-Ashjai. Your verdict is in accordance with the Prophet (pbuh).” On hearing this, Abdullah (RA) rejoiced as he had never rejoiced before. The majority of Fatwa’s of Iraq and the Hanafi Fiqh are based upon the Fatwa’s of Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) His authority in Fiqh was such that the other Sahabas would refuse to give a Fatwa during while he was still alive. They would always refer any seeker to him. Students who wanted to enter his service and gain knowledge from him were always constantly petitioning him.
Khatima Ibn Abu Sub’ rah once went to Madinah and prayed for a pious companion. Huraira (R.A.) was Allah's reply. Abu Huraira (RA) asked Khatima where he had come from. He replied that he had traveled for two days from Kufah. Abu Huraira (RA) said to him, ‘Is not Saad Ibn Malik (RA), who is Mustajab-ul-Dawat amongst you? Is not Ibn Masood (RA), who was the bearer of the Prophet (pbuh) slippers and ablution water amongst you? Is not Huzaifah (RA), who was privy to the Prophet (pbuh) thoughts amongst you? Is not Amar (RA) amongst you, who Allah granted refuge from Shaitan through the Prophets (pbuh) tongue amongst you? Is not he who knows the two Divine Books (the Qur’an and the New Testament), Selman Farsi (pbuh) amongst you?’.
Hazrat Saad (RA) narrates, ‘Once there were six of us in the service of the Prophet (pbuh). Besides me were Abdullah Ibn Masood and Bilal (RA). Some pagans of Makkah came before the Prophet (pbuh) and began to say, “Remove these people first, then we shall talk.” The Prophet (pbuh) was still considering whether sending us out would win over their hearts and make them more receptive to Islam, when the following verse was revealed: ‘Send not away those who call on their Lord, morning and evening, seeking His Face.’ (Q6:52)
Saad (RA) proudly states, ‘This verse was revealed for us.’ Who can match the status of those who are praised by Allah? The whole point of the worship of Allah is the pleasure of Allah. These six attained the glad tidings of Allah in their lifetime that Allah was pleased with them.
Abdullah's Bravery:
Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) was the first man to recite aloud the words of the Qur’an before a gathering of the Quraish. The companions of the Prophet (pbuh) were together one day in Makkah. They were still few in number, weak and oppressed. They said, ‘The Quraish have not yet heard the Qur’an being recited openly and loudly. Who is the man who could recite it for them?’ ‘I shall recite it for them,’ volunteered Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA). ‘We are afraid for you,’ they said. ‘We only want someone who has a clan who would protect him from their evil.’ ‘Let me,’ Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) insisted, ‘Allah shall protect me and keep me away from their evil.’ He then went out to the mosque until he reached Maqaam Ibrahim (a landmark situated a few meters from the Kaabah). It was dawn and the Quraish were sitting around the Kaabah. Abdullah began to recite Surah Rahman. The Quraish looked at him intently and some of them asked, ‘What is Ibn Umm Abd saying? Damn him! He is reciting some of what Muhammad (pbuh) brought!’
They began to slap his face but he continued reciting. When he concluded his recital, his face was covered with welts and blood. ‘By Allah,’ said Abdullah (RA), ‘the enemies of Allah are more uncomfortable than I am at this moment. If you wish, I shall return tomorrow and do the same.’ ‘You have done enough,’ they said. ‘You have made them hear what they dislike.’
Abdullah's Immigration:
Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) did Hijra three times, twice to Ethiopia and once to Madinah. He participated in every Gazwah. It was he who beheaded Abu Jahl in Badr. It was to him that the Prophet (pbuh) presented Abu Jahl’s sword as a share in the booty. The Caliph Umar (RA) sent Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) to Kufah to educate the people and to take charge of the Bait-ul-Maal. When Umar (RA) fixed salaries for the Sahabas, he offered Abdullah (RA) a salary too. Abdullah (RA) refused and said, ‘Why do you try to turn me to the world.’
`Abdullah ibn Masood said in one of his sermons
Amr ibn Thabit narrated that `Abdullah ibn Masood said in one of his sermons: "Surely the most truthful speech is that of the Qur'an, the Book of Allah; and the best of covenants and bonds are an expression of piety; the best of persuasions is that of Ibrahim `alayhi salaam, and the best of traditions are those of Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam. The most noble and exalted of speeches and conversations is to talk about Allah the Most High; the best and most truthful of stories are told in the Qur'an; the worth of a good deed will show at the end, and the most evil of deeds are innovations; to have less of what satisfies one's needs is better than to have aplenty one cannot compass or control; the worst self-blaming (nafs lawwaama) is sorrow when death comes to seize the person, and the worst grief is to have regret on the Day of Judgment; the worst of aberration is to stray from Allah's path after receiving His guidance; true prosperity is to have satisfaction and contentment; the best provision for the hereafter is piety; suspicion is a branch of apostasy; the worst blindness is that of the heart; wine is the source of every evil; the temptation about women is the rope of Satan; teenage heralds the growing up of arrogance and folly; mourning losses is a pagan act; some people come late to the Friday's congregational prayers, dragging their feet, and they speak of Allah the Most High illusively. In fact, to lie is the greatest sin; to insult a believer is an act of insolence; and to fight a believer is apostasy. The sanctity of the property of a believer is as sacred as his life; one who pardons the sins of others, Allah will forgive him his sins, and one who swallows his anger, Allah will reward him, one who forgives others, Allah will forgive him, and one who bears his adversity, Allah will reward him aplenty. The most evil of earnings is money made of usury and accumulation of interest; the worst of food is to eat up the inheritance of orphan. The luckiest of people is one who takes heed of the reason behind others' misfortunes; and the unlucky is thus conceived in the womb of his mother. Sufficient for you is what satisfies your basic needs; surely the lag of one's journey will culminate in a grave six linear feet long; one's real goal will eventually be seen at the end, - and truth will surely manifest at the end. The results of one's actions will expose his initial intention; the worst story is a lie; the best death is that of a martyr; one who knows the value of adversities will bear them, and one who does not understand that will question the reason behind them. Allah the Most High will surely bring an arrogant person to humiliation. Whosoever vies to capture the world will reach a dead end, and whosoever obeys Satan would have disobeyed Allah the Most High, and finally, whosoever disobeys Allah the Most High will be punished in hell-fire."
Abdullah's Death:
Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) lived to the time of Caliph Uthman (RA). It was during this era that he retired from his post and returned to Madinah. When he was sick and on his death-bed, Uthman (RA) came to visit him and said, ‘What is your ailment?’ ‘My sins.’ ‘And what do you desire?’ ‘Mercy of my Lord.’ ‘Shall I not give you your stipend which you have refused to take for years now?’ ‘I have no need of it.’ ‘Let it be for your daughters after you.’ ‘Do you fear poverty for my children? I have commanded them to read Surah al-Waqiah every night for I have heard the Prophet (pbuh) saying, “Whoever reads Al-Waqiah every night shall not be afflicted by poverty ever.”
That night, in either 33 or 34 A.H, Abdullah (RA) passed away to the company of his Lord, his tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah and with the recitation of the verses of His Book.
The Prophet s said, ‘Surah al Waqiah is the Surah of Wealth, so recite it and teach it to your children.
