He bestows them as He wishes

Prayer is judged based on action......
Prayer is judged based on action as this is what a person can control. Of course a person's mind should be focused on what they are doing especially when it is worship.

The position of all four madhaahib–Maalikis, Shadflies, Hannibal’s, and Hanafis–with no difference of opinion–is that a person who does not pray, ever, is not a Muslim.

However, Allah is the most Merciful and is fully aware that Shaitan will try and discourage you from praying and therefore he will use all types of distraction.

Every choice we make moves us closer to or farther away from something we love.
Complete acceptance of the teachings and guidance of God 'Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala  ' as revealed to His Messengers Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) is the religion of Islam.

Islam enjoins faith in the oneness and sovereignty of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), which makes man aware of meaningfulness of the Universe and of his place in it.

This belief frees him from all fears and superstitions by making him conscious of the presence of the Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) and of man's obligations towards Him.

This faith must be expressed and tested in actions, faith alone is not enough. Belief in one Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) God requires that we look upon all Humanity as one family under the universal Omnipotence of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) the Creator and Nourishes of all. Islam rejects the idea of chosen people, making belief in Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) and good actions the only way to heaven.

Thus, a direct relationship in established with Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), without any intercessor.

Belief in the Oneness of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) creates an attitude of peace and contentment, purges the mind of subtle passions and jealousy, envy and greed, and keeps away the ideas of resorting to base and unfair means for achieving success.

The believer understands that wealth is in Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) ’s hands, that honor, power, reputation and authority are  subjected to His Will, and that He bestows them as He wishes; and that man’s duty is only to endeavor and struggle fairly.

He knows that success and failure depend upon Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)’s grace; if He wills to give, no power in the world can prevent Him from doing so; and if He does not will it, no power can force Him but the believer never forgets that it is incumbent upon him to try his hardest to Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)’s grace. On the other hand, the polytheists and atheists consider success and failure to come solely from their own efforts or by the help of earthly powers without taking Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)’s grace and Will into consideration. Therefore they always remain slaves to cupidity and envy. To achieve success, they never hesitate to have recourse to bribery, flattery, conspiracy, and other kinds of base and unfair means.

THE FUNDAMENTAL ARTICLES OF FAITH IN ISLAM

The true faithful Muslim believes in the following Principal articles of faith:-

He believes in One God 'Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala ‘, Supreme and Eternal, Infinite and Mighty, Merciful and Compassionate, Creator and Provider.

He believes in all Messengers of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) without any discrimination among them.

Every known nation had a Warner or Messenger from Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

They were chosen by Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) to teach mankind and deliver His divine message. The Quran mentions the name of twenty five of them. Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) stands as the last Messenger and the crowning glory of the foundation of Prophet Hood.

Muslin believes in all scriptures and revelations of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

They were the guiding light which the Messengers received to show their respected peoples the Right Path of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

In the Quran a special reference is made to the books of Abraham (Alayhi Salaam), Moses, David and Jesus. (Alayhi Salaam).

The true Muslim believes in the Angels of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

They are purely spiritual and splendid beings whose nature requires on food, drink or sleep.

They spend their days and nights in the worship of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

Muslim believes in the last Day of Judgment. This world will come to an end someday, and the dead will rise to stand for their final and fair trial.

People with good records will be generously, rewarded and warmly welcomed to the Heaven of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), and those with bad records will be punished and cast into Hell.

Muslim believes in the timeless knowledge of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) and His power to plan and execute His planes and nothing could happen in His Kingdom against His will.

His knowledge and power are in action at all times and command over His creation. He is wise and merciful, and whatever He does must have a meaningful purpose.

If this is established in our mind and hearts, we should accept with good faith all that He does, although we may fail to under stand it fully, or think it is bad.

THE FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM

There are five pillars of Islam:

      The declaration of faith:

To bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), and that Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) is His Messenger to all human beings till the Day of Judgment.

The Prophet Hood of Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam obliges the Muslims to follow, His exemplary life as a model. (SUNNA)

Prayers: Daily, prayers are offered five times a day as a duty towards Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

They strengthen and enliven the belief in Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) and inspire man to a higher morality.

They purify the heart and prevent temptation towards wrong - doings and evil.

Fasting in the month of Ramadan: The Muslims during the month of Ramadan not only abstain from food, drink and sexual intercourse from dawn to sunset but also sincerity and devotion.

It develops a sound social conscience, patience, unselfishness and will - Power.

Zakat: The literal and simple meaning of Zakat is purity.

The technical meaning of this word designates the annual amount in kind or coin which a Muslim with means must distribute among the rightful beneficiaries.

But the religious and spiritual significance of Zakat is much deeper and livelier. So it has humanitarian and sociopolitical values.

When it is not out of practice or out of use, it quickly loses its liveliness and motivation power

(Remember the orphan’s look around where you live if there is one,” Do something for him or her

"They have no one but Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)   who is testing those who are fit and have been lucky to have there mums and dads to care for them.

Hajj (Pilgrimage to Makkah): It is to be performed once in a lifetime, if one can afford it financially and physically.

Faith by nature is very sensitive and can be most effective.

When it is not out of practice or out of use, it quickly loses its liveliness and motivation power

“Stronger the religious commitment, stronger the test will be.”

We have to love Allah for making us Muslims
Say: O you mankind! Now truth (i.e. the Quran and Prophet Muhammad), has come to you from your Lord. So whosoever receives guidance, he does so for the good of his own self; and whosoever goes astray, he does so to his own loss; and I am not (set) over you as a Wakeel (disposer of affairs to oblige you for guidance) [Yunus 10:108]

Islam is the religion of the natural state of man (fit rah), the religion of reason and thought. Allah has distinguished the truth from falsehood. He has enjoined all that is good and forbidden all that is evil. He has permitted good things and forbidden evil things. There is no compulsion in religion because the benefits or harms come back upon the created being, not upon the Creator. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Alif Laam-Meem. Do people think that they will be left alone because they say?
‘We believe’, and will not be tested? And we indeed tested those who were before them.
And Allah will certainly make known, those who are true, and will certainly make known those who are liars.”
(Al-Qur’an 29:1-3)

“Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: “We believe,” and will not be tested?”
This is a rebuke in the form of a question, meaning that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) will inevitably test His believing servants according to their level of faith.
“Stronger the religious commitment, stronger the test.”

Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), has created man and given him reason, and He has sent down to him Revelation and sent to him Messengers to call him to the truth and warn him against falsehood. Then He has left him to make his own choice.
Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), says,

“It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong that are (truly) in security, for they are on (right) guidance.”

[Al Qur’an 6:82].

 Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam once said,

“The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)’s pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His (Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)) wrath.”

“Those who believe, and work righteousness, their Lord will guide them because of their faith, beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss.”

[Al Qur’an 10:9].

“Oh Allah guides us to the straight path.” [Al Qur’an 1:5]

And this is what we need most. Just because we are believers, it doesn’t mean that we don’t need guidance.

We need guidance in every moment of our lives.

     Did you know?

The most frequent dua that one makes is in Surah Al-Fatiha.

As per one of the research it’s believed that Sura Al Fatiha (The Opening) is recited every second without a break.

Imagine Muslims around the world praying five times a day and in each day, each person recites minimum of 17 times. (Max even 100 times in a day) Subhan ALLAH now you can imagine how many times this Surah Al Fatiha will be recited. ALLAHU’AKBAR. You will be amazed by just imagining this.

The most frequent dua that one makes is in Surah Al-Fatiha – “Oh Allah guides us to the straight path.” [Al Qur’an 1:5]

So InshaAllah Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) will guide them because of their iman.

If you do not make an intention of acquiring Khair (Deen goodness) from ‘Ilm, Then you will be deprived of Tawfiq.
Imam Abu Haneefah, Radiyallaahu anhu).

Hedayah (Divine Guidance, which Allah bestows upon His chosen slaves) is of two kinds. one is through ilm (acquired knowledge- through scholars, books etc) and the other is direct change of heart which Allah Subhana wa Ta’aala causes in His chosen slaves, leading to a state of sudden realization of the truth of the existence of Allah Subhana wa Ta’aala, His commands and our place and purpose and high state of God-Consciousness. This kind of Guidance is called tawfiq

We cannot live without the guidance and tawfiq (ability to do good) of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)

People with religious beliefs tend to be more content in life

Religious people are better able to cope with shocks such as losing a loved one or getting laid off of a job.

In many cultures, it is commonly believed that happiness is achieved when you become rich, powerful, or popular.

The young want to be that popular pop idol, the old dream of winning the jackpot.

We often seek happiness by removing all stress, sadness, and irritations.

For some, happiness lies in mood-altering therapies.  “Today, this obsession knows no bounds…

One reason we have so much trouble attaining happiness is that we have no idea about what it is.

Consequently, we make poor judgments in life.

An Islamic tale illustrates the relationship of judgment with happiness.

“Oh, great sage, Nasiruddin,” said

The eager student, “I must ask you a very important question, the answer to which we all seek: What is the secret to attaining happiness?”

Nasiruddin thought for a time, and then responded.  “The secret of happiness is good judgment.”

“Ah,” said the student.  “But how do we attain good judgment?

 “From experience,” answered Nasiruddin.

“Yes,” said the student.  “But how do we attain experience?’

      Nasiruddin responded: “Bad judgment.”

An example of our good judgment knows that materialistic comforts by themselves do not lead to lasting happiness.  Having reached that conclusion by our good judgment, we do not retreat into our comforts.  We continue to crave a happiness that seems out of reach.  We make more money thinking that is the way to become happy, and in the process neglect our family.  Most big events we dream of yield less sustained happiness than we hoped for.

In addition to getting less happiness than we expected or hoped for, we frequently do not know exactly what we want, what will make us happy or how to get it.  We misjudge.

Enduring happiness does not come from ‘making it.’  Imagine someone could snap their fingers and give you fame, fortune, and leisure.  Would you be happy?  You would be euphoric, but in the short run.  Gradually you would adapt to your new circumstance and life would return to its normal mix of emotions.  Studies show that big lottery winners after a few months are no happier than the average person!  To recover the joy, you would now need an even higher high.

Allah the Almighty said: ‘My servant does not please me with anything more beloved to me than the religious duties I have imposed upon him.’” (Bukhari)

If we please Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) by performing all the acts of worship (He has enjoined upon mankind), we show gratitude to our Creator.  We need to be grateful to Allah I for all the favors He has bestowed upon us, especially for making us Muslims.  In this way we gain His love and guidance and hence, His ultimate rewards. Allah the Exalted says:
...Show (your) gratitude to Allah.  Any who is (so) grateful does so to the profit of his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, verily Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) is free of all wants, worthy of all praise.”  (Qur’an 31:12)

We have to love Allah I for making us Muslims and for all the favors He has bestowed upon us. Verily, Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) is our Creator, Sustainer and Cherisher.  Everything comes from Him.  He Alone deserves our love:

We have to love Allah, the Most High, and be devoted to Him Alone so that in return, He will love us.  Only when we gain His love, mercy and guidance can we attain success.  We need to know how to earn May Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)’s love.  One may ask, but how do we attain Allah’s love?  Alhamdu lillah, Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) provides us clear and explicit answer to this very important question.  In the Qur’an Allah the Almighty tells us two ways by which He bestows His love upon us:

Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)'s Prophet of Mercy said:
“True enrichment does not come through possessing a lot of wealth, but true enrichment is the enrichment of the soul.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

A man said to Ibrahim ibn Adam, “I cannot pray Qiyam al-layl, so tell me the cure for this.” He said, “Do not commit sin during the day, and He (Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)) will help you to stand before Him at night, for your standing before Him at night is one of the greatest honors, and the sinner does not deserve that honour.”

May Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) guide whomsoever he likes, and leaves to stray who so ever wishes? May the Almighty Allah the most exalted one guide & bless us in the both life I

Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate after you have guided us and grant us mercy from yourself. Indeed you are the Bestowal? [Aal Imran 3:8]

May Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) grant us all Tawfiq and cause us to live and die as muttaqoon (pious) and Mu’hsinoon (good doers) and forbid for us the hell fire and grant us Jannah al firdous

He who loves something mentions it much

"Woe to those whose hearts have hardened against the Remembrance of Allah! Those are in clear error".
Quran (Surah 39: Verse

Zikr involves Muraqaba (deep meditation), through which one reaches the stage of "Ihsan", wherein a person worships Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) as if he is actually seeing Him.  It helps realization of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) so that by and by a stage is reached when he comes to regard Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) as his sole Cherisher, Guardian and Master, and he turns unto Him, in all afflictions.

It is the key to nearness to Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD); the greater the Zikr, the greater the nearness to Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), and greater the indifference to Zikr, the greater the distance from Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

Zikr keeps away the Satan and weakens his strength and It is the cause of Almighty Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD‘s pleasure.
It relieves the mind of anxieties and worries and It produces joy and happiness in the heart.

It saves the tongue from indulging in backbiting, loose talk, lies and abuses. It is a common experience that a man whose tongue remains engaged in Zikr does not commit these absurdities. On the other hand the tongue that is not used in Zikr falls an easy prey to all kinds of useless talk.
The gatherings of Zikr are gathering of angels, and gatherings without Zikr are gatherings of Satan. A person is free to have a choice between the two, and verily man, by instinct is drawn towards what is akin to his temperament.

"And remember your Rubb by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear and without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful.'' (7:205)

Ilm or "Sacred Knowledge" is not sufficient in itself, but also entails Amaal or "applying what one knows"--"unity of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) " demanded by the Sharia, which entails total sincerity to Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) in all one's actions. Traditional ullama have long acknowledged that ilm or "Sacred Knowledge" is not sufficient in itself, but also entails Amaal or "applying what one knows"--as well as the resultant haal or "praiseworthy spiritual state"

Those who perform Zikr are Wise and are promised Success, Peace, Happiness, Mercy, Forgiveness and Great Rewards in this life and the next. All of which are valued as being positive important factors in one's religious and worldly life.
Zikr of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) strengthens the body, mind and It brightens the face and heart.
 It attracts one's subsistence.

Whilst those who do not engage in Zikr are classed as being heard hearted losers who are clearly in the error and in the group of Satan... and as such, they will be made to live a tight and narrow life, full of misery and woe, punished in this life as well as being risen blind in the next and who will be remorseful of all the time not spent in the Remembrance of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

So exactly how important is Zikr? Basically put, for a Muslim, Zikr is a matter of life and death:

"The likeness of the one who Remembers his Lord and the one who does not Remember Him is like that between the living and the dead" (Bukhari).

Tawhid or "unity of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)” demanded by the Sharia, which entails total sincerity to Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) in all one's actions.

“True enrichment does not come through possessing a lot of wealth, but true enrichment is the enrichment of the soul.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

Allah Most High says: ". . . . My slave approaches Me with nothing more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him, and My slave keeps drawing nearer to Me with voluntary works until I love him. And when I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hand with which he seizes, and his foot with which he walks. If he asks me, I will surely give to him, and if he seeks refuge in Me, I will surely protect him (Sahih al-Bukhari. 9

Hadith Qudsi, "Those that remember me in their heart, I remember them in my heart; and those that remember me in a gathering (i.e. that make mention of me), I remember them (i.e. make mention of them) in a gathering better than theirs."

Zikr in a gathering can only be done aloud and in unison. The above hadith thus constitutes proof that dhikr done out loud in a gathering is an exalted kind of dhikr which is mentioned at the Highest Assembly (al-mala' al-a`la.)

Jabber (RadiAllahu anhu) reported that Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam), said: "The best remembrance of Allah is to repeat la ilaha illallaah and the best prayer (du’aa) is al-hamdu lillah (all praise belongs to Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)”.
In Bukhari and Muslim Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam:) said that Allah Ta’aala has angels roaming the roads to find the people of dhikr, i.e. those who say La Ilaha Illallaah and similar expressions, and when they find a group of people (qawm) reciting Zikr, they call each other and encompass them in layers until the first heaven -- the location of which is in Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)’s knowledge. (This is to say, an unlimited number of angels are going to be over that group).

This is further indicated by the hadith Qudsi which runs: "Allah says: I am to my servant as he expects of Me, I am with him when he remembers me. If he remembers me in his heart, I remember him to myself, and if he remembers me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly better than his..." (Bukhari and Muslim)

Thus, silent Zikr is differentiated from Zikr said out loud by His saying: "Remembers Me within himself," meaning: "silently," and "in an assembly," meaning "aloud."

Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam said: hatta yaqulu majnun "Remember Allah Ta’aala as much as you want, until people say that you are crazy and foolish"

Ibn `Umar (RadiAllahu Anhu) reported that Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) said: "When you pass by the gardens of Paradise, avail yourselves of them." The Companions asked: "What are the gardens of Paradise, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "The circles of Zikr. There are roaming angels of Allah who go about looking for the circles of Zikr, and when they find them they surround them closely." (This includes Quran and Durood Shareef, Khatam).

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira (RadiAllahu anhu)reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "When any group of men remember Allah, angels surround them and mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him." Narrated by Muslim,

Muawiyah (RadiAllahu anhu) Said: that Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) went out to a circle of his Companions and asked: "What made you sit here?" They said: "We are sitting here in order to remember / Allah (nadh’kuru’llaha) and to glorify Him (WA nahma’ udhuhu) because He guided us to the path of Islam and he conferred favors upon us." Thereupon he adjured them by Allah and asked if that was the only purpose of their sitting there. They said: "By Allah, we are sitting here for this purpose only." At this Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) said: "I am not asking you to take an oath because of any misapprehension against you, but only because Jibraeel ('alaihi salaam) came to me and informed me that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD), the Exalted and Glorious, was telling the angels that He is proud of you!" Note that the hadith stated jalasna -- we sat -- in the plural, not singular. It referred to an association of people in a group, not one person.

Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam, would often tell his Companions, "Shall I tell you about the best of deeds, the most pure in the sight of your Lord, about the one that is of the highest order and is far better for you than spending gold and silver, even better for you than meeting your enemies in the battlefield where you strike at their necks and they at yours?" The Companions replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!” Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam, said:, "Remembrance of Allah."

Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) said: "He who loves something mentions it much".

Allah says in Surat al-Ala, for example, "He has succeeded who purifies himself" (Qur'an 87:14).

The heart of a neglectful person is tormented by a feeling of remoteness from Allah, and nothing other than Zikr can rid the heart of this feeling.

The Sunna of Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) were not only words and actions, but also states of being: that a Muslim must not only say certain things and do certain things, but must also be something. The Sharia commands one, for example, in many Quranic verses and prophetic hadiths, to fear Allah, to have sincerity toward Him, to be so certain in ones knowledge of Allah that one worships Him as if one sees Him, to love Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) more than any other human being, to show love and respect to all fellow Muslims, to show mercy, and to have many other states of the heart. It likewise forbids us such inward states as envy, malice, pride, arrogance, love of this world, anger for the sake of one's ego, and so on

"Only in the remembrance of Allah (swt) will your heart find peace"

It is not possible to understand The Qur’an fully without Sunnah

Walk the Sunna and Talk the Sunna

When you love someone, you want to be like that person and do what he or she does.

When you love someone, you want to be like that person and do what he or she does; look like that beloved person; learn about that person; wear similar clothes to those clothes and do whatever that person says.

Sunnah literally means path. The Sunnah, in Islam, is the path which has been laid down by the character, manners, ritual habits, deeds, example and legislative actions of our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam

“He who turns away from my Sunnah is not from me.” al-Bukhari

“We have sent down unto thee (also) the Message; that thou mayest explain clearly to men what is sent for them (Halaal and haram), and that they may give thought.” (Nahl: 44)
“Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire! It is no less than inspiration sent down to him.” (Najm: 3-4)

It is not possible to understand The Qur’an fully without Sunnah (the actions that the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam practiced). Our Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam was responsible for conveying the Qur’an as well as explaining it.

For instance, Salat is a command in the Qur’an but it is not explained in details when and in how many rakah’s to perform it. Zakat is commanded, however; among what is Zakat taken from and how much Zakat is paid is not explained. The details of the commands such as Salat and Zakat and many more were explained by

"Know that indeed, I have been given the Book and, with it, that which is similar to it (the Sunnah)”. Said:  The Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam.

How can we follow the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam? This is a question every Muslim must take seriously. The traditional reasoning goes like this: the Quran says to obey Allah SWT (GOD) and to obey the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam. Obeying Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) means obeying the Quran and obeying Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam means obeying his Sunnah. Therefore, before going any further, it is important to consider the position of the Quran and the position of Prophet’s Sunnah among Muslims. First, let us discuss the position of the Quran.

As Muslims! We are urged to follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam. Revive and apply it in our daily life. It is the proof for loving the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam – and a sign for the true belief.

The Sunnah is (Prophetic deeds, actions, habits, and way of life) the deeds for which you will be rewarded if you apply… The Sunnah is repeated day and night and is easy to be applied by every one of us inshaa Allah

The Sunnah of our Holy Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam sets a perfect example for anyone who wishes to draw close to Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

"Undoubtedly, you have the best in the following of the Messenger, for him who yearns for Allah"
Quran (Surah 33: Verse 21)

It is for this very reason that all legitimate paths towards Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD)), in Sufism, embody the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam. Because by following the Sunnah one eventually becomes a loved friend of  Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD).

"Say, if you love Allah, follow me, Allah will love you"
Quran (Surah 3: Verse31)

The Qur'an is the word of Allah (swt). It came from Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) presence and will return to Him. It is the last and final Divine book, and the only book of truth that will remain valid until the Day of Judgment.

We agree ON this (yes or no)
Muslims, no matter where they are, have the same Quran. Sunni, Shi’ia, Maliki, Shaafa’i, Hanafi, Hanbal, all Muslims have the same Arabic text of the Quran. There is no difference of opinion among Muslims about the authenticity of the Quranic verses.
Unlike the Bible, the Quran does not have versions. There is only one version – that of Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) There may be many translations or interpretations but there is only one Arabic text. This fact is borne out by fourteen hundred years of history. Non-Muslims may not believe in the divine origin of the Quran, but they cannot deny the fact that there is only one text of the Quran. This is no less than a miracle.... (Subhan’Allah).

"O Prophet – behold, we have sent thee as a witness [to the truth], and as a herald of glad tidings and a Warner, and as one who summons [all human beings] to Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) by His leave, and as a light-giving beacon." (33: 45-46)

"Now [as for thee, O Muhammad,] we have not sent thee otherwise than to humankind at large, to be a herald of glad tidings and a Warner; but most people do not understand [this]." (34:28)

"Say, [O Muhammad]:”O humankind! Verily, I am a Messenger of God to all of you, [sent by Him] unto whom the dominion over the heavens and the earth belongs." (7:158)

"And [thus O Prophet,] we sent thee as [an evidence of our] grace towards all the worlds." (21: 107)
The above Quranic verses clearly establish that Islam does not discriminate against human beings on the basis of color, race, blood relationships, language, or nationalities. Islam is for everyone. This means that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) wants us to build a society based on the Quranic principle of universal brotherhood

My Friends:  The loss of religion begins with abandonment of Sunnah. Just as a rope breaks fiber by fiber, so does faith vanish with abandoning the principles of Sunnah one by one?”

Ibn ‘Awn said: there are three things which I love for myself and my brothers: this Sunnah, that they should learn about it and ask about it; the Qur’an, that they should seek to understand it and ask about it; and that they should leave people alone unless it is for a good reason.” … (Bukhari,).
It is impossible to understand and practice Islam without Sunnah; in a similar way if Sunnah is abandoned a huge gap will appear and that will be replaced by bid’ah which is exactly opposite of Sunnah and principles of Islam.
May Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) have mercy on us, strive to follow every proven Sunnah that you learn from your Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam and do not neglect it, for it will benefit you on a Day when neither wealth nor sons will be of any avail. Adhere to the Sunnah and teach it to your children. Revive it in the midst of those who are unaware of it, so that you may be among the most blessed of people through the intercession of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam

O Allah, help us to follow the Sunnah. Cause us to live in accordance to the Sunnah and to die adhering to the Sunnah. May Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) bless our Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam?

Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) our merciful lord says in the Quran that obedience to Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam) is part of obedience to Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) and it is never possible for anyone in deep love for Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) to disobey the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam ….Sunnah also makes our life easy and makes our faith stronger

Teaching our children to love the Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam and to hold fast to the Sharia

.....Hold Fast To The Sharia and the Sunnah...

"Thus we have made you a Wasat (just) (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger be a witness over you." (2:143)

The most prominent characteristic of the Muslim Ummah is that they live their lives and practice their Deen in the most moderate and balanced way.

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’aala (GOD) says in the Noble Qur’an, what could be translated as, "Thus We have made you [Muslims] a Wasat nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger Muhammad be a witness over you." (Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 143)

In this verse, Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) says He has made this Muslim Ummah, an Ummah of Wasat. And No one has the right or authority to change the Ummah's status of Wasatiyyah.

In the same verse, Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) indicates to us what the objectives of Wasatiyyah are. They are "That you are witnesses over mankind and the Messenger Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam) is a witness over you." And no one has the authority to change the objectives of Wasatiyyah. (Get it guys)

In an Arabic dictionary, the term Wasat has three meanings. The three meanings are: to be moderate, to be in the middle, and to be the best. Therefore, when Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala describes the Muslim Ummah as a nation that is Wasat, Allah means that we are moderate, we are an Ummah that is in the middle, and that we are the best nation.

Atawasoot in an Islamic sense means that the Muslim should try his best to be moderate in all of his affairs, and he should keep away from extreme practices and making extreme statements.

Imam Bukhari reported that three companions came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam to inquire about how much the Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam worshiped. When the men were informed, they considered the amount of worship to be insufficient and said: "Where are we in comparison with the Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam while Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala has forgiven his past sins and future sins." One of them said: "As for me, I shall offer prayer all night long." Another said: "I shall observe fasting continuously and shall not break it." Another said: 'I shall abstain from the woman and shall never marry." The Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam came to them and said, "Are you the ones who said such things? By Allah, I fear Allah more then you do, and I am most obedient and dutiful among you to Him, but still I fast (some days) and I don't fast (other days), I pray at night and I also sleep (meaning he does not pray all night), and I married, and whoever does not follow my Sunnah (way of life) does not belong to me."

Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam said, "All of you are heads of a group and all of you are responsible for your groups; the ruler is the head of state and he is responsible for his people, the man is head of his family and responsible for his family, the woman is the head in her husband's house and she is responsible for the house. In short all of you are heads and responsible for your group." (Imam Bukhari)
 .
The prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam did not excuse any one from responsibility that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) has put on every individual to build the Islamic society: the ruler is responsible: the man and woman are responsible.... All within their capabilities, domains, and authorities, and the loss of Islam from our Muslim ummah these days is nothing but a result of the neglect of responsibility...

Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) has entrusted parents with their children. Parents bear the responsibility to raise their children in the Islamic way. If they do that they will be blessed in this life and in the Hereafter, and if they don't, they will get bad result during their life and in the Hereafter.

Teaching our children to love the Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam and to hold fast to the Sharia and the Sunnah he embodies that the true springs of faith will take root in their hearts. Faith begin with love and grows through love until it reaches perfection, and perfect faith can not be reached until one’s love for Allah and for the Messenger Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam is stronger than one’s love for all else.

The Holy Prophet said, none amongst you can be a true believer until his love for me is greater than the love he holds for his parents, his children and everyone else.

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam is a perfect example for how human beings can be elevated through the stations of spirituality. Following his example, Muslims are required to be transparent with their thoughts. In other words, a Muslim should not think one way and act differently, and it is important to be consistent with children. Witnessing an inconsistency between what adults say and do can lead to deep wounds in the spirituality of a child.

The heart of a child should be nurtured with belief in Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (God) and spiritualism at an early age. Learning about Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (GOD) at an early age will help a child to overcome the difficulties of this life, not only in their childhood, but also in later adult years. The more a child is exposed to a community that observes religion, the easier it will be for that child to understand and accept religion and spiritualism later in their life. It has been observed that children who grow up in a spiritual environment are more likely to establish healthy relationships with their parents. Islam teaches that children are gifts from the all-compassionate and generous Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (God). We should love and care for them with perfect compassion and tenderness to ensure their healthy growth.

A child needs to feel safe, and the best way to give them this feeling is to teach them that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (God) is the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate and that He is protecting them from all evil. A child, weak and needy, can feel secure in life only through this belief. Furthermore, teaching a child to be grateful for everything they possess and receive is another vital aspect for healthy spiritual development. A child should be made aware that everything that is given to them ultimately comes from   Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (God). In this way, they will grow into a thankful and appreciative person.

Showing mercy and love to children has a special place in the Prophet Muhammad's Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam teachings. To address the importance of mercy in children's spiritual development, the Prophet stated, "Whoever does not show mercy to his children is not one of us [Muslims]." Thus the Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam taught that children should be approached with mercy, love, respect, and trust, while Islamic teachings particularly emphasize mercy and love. His wife Aisha (R.A)  gave the following example:

One day a person from the desert came to the Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam and said, "You are kissing children but traditionally we don't kiss them." The Prophet replied, "What can I do if Allah swt (God) removed mercy from your heart?”. (Bukhari).

Another teaching by the Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam on this concept concerns his grandson Hasan Radiyallaahu:

One day the Prophet was in one of the markets of Medina. He left the market and so did I. Then he asked thrice, "Where is the small child?" Then he said, "Call Hasan." So Hasan got up and started walking with a necklace of beads around his neck. The Prophet stretched his hand out like this, and Hasan did the same. The Prophet embraced him and said, "O Allah! I love him, so please love him and love those who love him." Since Allah's Apostle said that, nothing has been dearer to me than Hasan (Bukhari).

It is important to note, however, that the Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam was overall even-handed in his approach toward raising children. He was merciful and loving towards children, but he was also resolute in his guidance.

The Messenger was completely balanced in the way he brought up his children. He loved his children and grandchildren very much, and instilled love in them. However, he never let his love for them be abused. None of them deliberately dared to do anything wrong. If they made an unintentional mistake, the Messenger's protection prevented them from going even slightly astray. He did this by wrapping them in love and an aura of dignity. For example, Once Hasan or Hussein wanted to eat some of the dates that had been allocated for distribution among the poor as alms. The Messenger of Allah immediately took it from his hand, and said: "Anything given as alms is forbidden to us." In teaching them while they were young to be sensitive to forbidden acts, he established an important principle of education.

He never made any distinctions between his sons and daughters, saying "How beautiful a child is a girl—compassionate, helpful, easygoing, blessed, and full of motherly feelings." The Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam did not limit his love and mercy and showed love and mercy to children from different religions. He taught Muslims to treat neighbors of other faiths as their closest relatives. For example, the Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam visited one of his Jewish neighbor's sons when he was ill.

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam seek to remove children from the congregation while he was preaching.  One of his students said, "I saw our Prophet giving a sermon. Hasan was sitting on his knees. During his speech he occasionally would bow down, kiss the child, and say: "I love him."

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam not only allowed children in the mosque, but even assigned a special space for them to join the prayers. Keeping children close by during the daily prayers is of utmost importance, for the child will benefit from the spiritual environment.  We learn from these teachings that rather than remove children from places of worship, we should train ourselves to concentrate during prayer in the presence of children. This will improve our ability to focus on our relationship with Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala (God) during prayer even in distracting environments. In Islam it is important to be able to live spiritually in all parts of life. This goal can be achieved by learning how to be with God even during the difficult times of our lives. A person who trains his concentration and spirit to be close to God during prayer, even in the presence of children, will be able to continue their spirituality during the difficult times of his life.

Hazrat Umar Radiyallaahu said to the Holy Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam, ‘I love you more than everything than myself.’ The Holy Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam him) said, ‘None amongst you can be a true believer until I am dearer to him than even himself.’

Hazrat Umar radiyallaahu said, ‘I swear by Him (Allah) who revealed the Book (Holy Quran) to you! You are indeed dearer to me than even myself.’

The Holy Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam replied, ‘Umar, now your Iman (faith) is complete.’

(Bukhari)

A man came to the Holy Prophet and said, O Holy Prophet! You are indeed dearer to me than my family and my wealth, I remember you and I cannot wait until I can come and look at you. I think of my death and yours and know that when you enter paradise you will be at a high ranking place with the prophets and so, even if I am granted entrance to paradise I will not be able to see you (because of your high status).

In response to this, Allah revealed the verse:  And he who obeys Allah and the Prophet he will be with those whom Allah has favored-the prophets, the siddiqeen (truthful people), the shahid (martyrs) and the salihun (pious people). And what good companions they are.
(Holy Quran, Surah 4: An-Nisa, Verse69).

The Holy Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam called the man and recited this verse to him.

Hazrat Jabber bin Mutt am radiyallaahu-anhu relates that I heard the Holy Prophet say, I have many names. One of them is Muhammad (Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam) and another is Ahmad. I am known as Hasher, for (on the Day of Judgment) the entire human race will be gathered together under my banner. I am also called Aqib and Aqib is the one after whom there is no other prophet.

(Bukhari and Muslim)

Hazrat Anas radiyallaahu also relates that the Holy Prophet Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam said, ‘A person who possesses the following three qualities has acquired the true meaning of Iman (faith):

1. His love for Allah and the Holy Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu-alaihi-wasallam is greater than his love for anyone else.
2. His friendship with anyone is solely for Allah’s pleasure.
3. Having accepted Islam, he abhors ‘kufr’ (disbelief) as much as he would loathe burning in fire.’
(Bukhari and Muslim)

Save Your Tongue From Talks Other Than Good

The tongue is the thing that deserves imprisonment most.”___

Muhammad (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi WA wasallam) said:

“You shall be saved as long as you are silent, for if you speak, it will either be in your favor or stand against you.”

Among the eminent ‘Ullama of Islam who were compelled to write extensively about it, was Imam al-Ghazali’ Rahmatullahi, who said about the tongue:

“The tongue is a great endowment from Allah; though small in size, its crime is enormous.”

A person on the one hand may utter words of hamd and Shukr [praise and thankfulness] for which he earns reward. While on the other hand one might utter words of kufr that takes them outside the pale of Islam, thereby loosing the reward of all his previous good deeds.

It is very important and necessary to safeguard the tongue against improper use since most corruptions and vices are from misuse of the tongue. Sometimes an informal talk and backbiting spoils years of worship, good deeds and devotion to Allah Ta’aala, which is why many Awliyâ Allah have stated, “There is nothing more deserving of prolonged imprisonment than the tongue.” Hazrat Sufyan bin Abdullah (Radiyallaahu Ta’aala Anhu) has narrated that once he asked Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) as to what was the most harmful for him. Beckoning to his tongue, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “This.”

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi WA wasallam) saying, "A person utters a word thoughtlessly (i.e., without thinking about its being good or not) and, as a result of this, he will fall down into the fire of Hell deeper than the distance between the east and the west.'' [Imam Bukhari].

This Hadith shows the disadvantages which can be caused by the improper use of the tongue. It is, therefore, essential that one should think before he speaks.

Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (Radiyallaahu Ta’aala Anhu) is reported to have said, “When a man gets up in the morning from his sleep the limbs of the body address his tongue saying, “Pass the day in truthfulness and righteousness; refrain from nonsense and loose talks. If you go aright we too shall go aright. On the other hand if you take the wrong path we too shall follow the same path.” What the tongue utters affects rightly or wrongly the other limbs of the body. Pure and nice words take the speaker nearer to Allah but heinous and nasty words cause him dishonor and disgrace.

Imam Ash-Shafi (Rahmatullahi), in addressing his companion, ar-Rabi’, said:

“Do not haphazardly speak without a need. Once uttered, you no longer control the words, but they control you.”

That is, once you speak a word it will be to your benefit if it is good, but if it is sinful, then it will be written against you unless Tawba [repentance] with sincerity is performed.

Sayidina ‘Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud Radiyallaahu ‘anhu said:
Abu 'Abdur-Rahman Bilal bin Al-Harith Al-Muzani (Radiyallaahu Ta’aala Anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi WA wasallam) said, "A man speaks a good word without knowing its worth, Allah SWT records for him His Good Pleasure till the day he will meet Him; and a man utters an evil word without realizing its importance, Allah records for him His displeasure till the day he will meet Him.''
[Imam Malik].

This Hadith tells us a fact which can be observed in our everyday life. Sometimes a person utters a good sentence which pleases an individual and he reforms himself or holds himself from doing something wrong. Such a sentence or utterance is highly rewarded by Allah SWT. Similarly, sometime a person utters a mischievous sentence, the ruinous effects of which he does not realize. This utterance hurts someone's feelings and leads him to sin and evil. Almighty Allah is displeased with such a person. The lesson that this Hadith has for us is that one should strictly guard his speech and weigh his words to avoid Allah's Wrath.

'Uqbah bin `Amir ((Radiyallaahu Ta’aala Anhu) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi WA wasallam), "How can salvation be achieved?'' He replied, "Save your tongue from talks other than good,

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) stated, “Save your tongue from talks other than good, you can then defeat the devil. Allah Ta’aala is near every utterance of a man. So let him take care of what he utters.” Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) further said, “He who talks too much commits blunders. He who blunders much commits many sins. For one whose sins are great, the hell-fire is good.” Hazrat Isa (Alaihi Salaam) stated, “There are ten portions of divine service, nine of which are in silence and the remaining one is in loneliness.” Hazrat Abu Dharr (Radiyallaahu Ta’aala Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) once asked him, “Shall I not tell you about such an action which is light for the body but heavy in the Balance?” Hazrat Abu Dharr (Radiyallaahu Ta’aala Anhu) replied, “Yes,” upon which our Beloved Rasool (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “Silence, good conduct and giving up unnecessary things.”

Narrated Muadh ibn Jabal (Radiyallaahu Ta’aala Anhu) I said to Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi WA wasallam): Inform me about an act which would entitle me to get into Paradise, and remove me away from Hell-Fire. He (the Prophet) said: You have asked me about a matter (which ostensibly appears to be) difficult but it is easy to those for whom Allah, the Exalted, has made it easy. Worship Allah and do not associate anything with him, establish prayer, pay the Zakat, observe the fast of Ramadan and perform Hajj to the (sacred) House (Ka’ba). He again said: Should I not direct you to the gateways of good?

Listen to me: The fasting is a shield against evil; the charity extinguishes (the fire of sin) just as water extinguishes fire, the prayer of a person during the middle of the night. Then he recited: 'Who forsake their beds... (Up to)....they used to do.' Then he said: Should I not direct you to the highest level of this matter, to the pillar on which (it rests) and it’s top?
I said: Allah's Messenger yes, (do tell me). He said: The uppermost level of the matter is Islam. Its pillar is the prayer and its top is Jihad. He then said: Should I not inform you of the sheet anchor of all this? I said: Allah's Apostle (of course do it). He took hold of his tongue and said: Exercise restraint on it. I said: Apostle of Allah, would we be held responsible for what we say with it? Thereupon he said: Muadh, may your mother be bereaved. Will anything else besides (irresponsible) talk cause the people to be thrown into the Hell-Fire upon their faces or on their nostrils?
Hadith No. 2 Ahmad,

Protection of the tongue guarantees protection of righteous deeds. This is because those who leave their tongues unbridled remain uttering nonsense and unworthy words including the grievous sin of backbiting. Backbiting is a sin which destroys good deeds as lightning destroys cultivation and turns everything into ashes.
A man once told Hazrat Hasan Basri (Rahmatullahi) that such and such a person had backbitten the Sheikh. Hazrat Hasan Basri (Rahmatullahi) sent this man to the backbiter with a bag of dates as a gift. For the reward, which he had transferred to the account of the Sheikh by backbiting him?
It can therefore be seen that the Prophets and the Awliyâ Allah have placed great emphasis on controlling the tongue and talking as less as possible as this would bring us closer to our Creator and will be a means of salvation for us. We should therefore take heed of their words of wisdom and try to remain silent as much as possible while at the same time not engaging ourselves in lying, slandering, backbiting, swearing, arguing, useless talks etc. when we do talk. And the best way to do this is to think before we say anything, if what we are about to say is useless and unnecessary or not. In fact if we can do that and say “Subhan’Allah” for every time we stop ourselves from uttering useless talks, imagine how much it would benefit us in this world and in the hereafter.

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah Which of the Muslims is best?' He said: 'He whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe from.'"
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Imam Malik’s student ibn Wahb asked him about backbiting a Christian, so he replied, 'Aren't they people?" He said, "Of course." He then said, Allah ta’aalau says, "And say that which is good to the people." (Al-Baqarah: 82) He did not say, 'Say to the Muslims…' and people includes the Muslim, the Kafir, and the people of the Book, from amongst them.

Abu Hurairah reported that he heard the Prophet say:

"Indeed, the servant will speak a word, while being unaware of (its consequences), and due to it, he will be cast into the Hellfire, farther than the distance between the east and the west."-- [Bukhari].--.

"I looked at all friends, and did not find a better friend than safeguarding the tongue. I thought about all dresses, but did not find a better dress than piety. I thought about all types of wealth, but did not find a better wealth than contentment in little. I thought of all types of good deeds, but did not find a better deed than offering good advice. I looked at all types of sustenance, but did not find a better sustenance than patience."
--- (Hazrat Umar R.A.)--

Among Allah's blessings upon man is that He made him a thoughtful and sane being and created a tongue for him. He made him able to utter sounds and clarify what he wants through the words which he speaks. He has only to speak to let people know what he wants.

Thus, we should thank Allah for the blessings which He bestowed upon us. We should use our speech in useful ways; not to speak but goodness. For example, if we are in a meeting or a gathering and want to speak with people, or any discussion comes up then we should first think what we want to say and choose which words to use. If we can offer useful counsel to people or offer advice, we should speak in such a way to make others want to listen.

Time is precious. Recognize its value and spend it in the remembrance of Allah, because what is uttered with the tongue other than this remembrance, is generally useless and nonsense and thereby you are laying waste your precious capital of life i.e. time.

Love is the foundation of my existence

Prophet Muhammad (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam)
 Said:
ISLAM began as something strange, and it will become thus again, as it was at the beginning.
Blessed, therefore, are the strangers.
(He was asked who the strangers are)
The strangers are those who restore what the people have corrupted of my law,
As well as those who revive what has been destroyed of it.

You will not enter paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another.
Let me guide you to something in the doing of which you will love one another.
Give a greeting to everyone among you.

I was delegated as a prophet to perfect moral virtues.

Good character is half of faith.

Allah (God) is merciful to those who show mercy to others.

Power consists not in being able to strike another, But in being able to control oneself when anger arises.

Honor your children and thus improve their manners.
The three best things:
To be humble amidst the vicissitudes of fortune;
To pardon when powerful;
And to be generous with no strings attached.

Whoever does not express his gratitude to people will never be grateful to Allah SWT (God).

The best people are those who are most useful to others.

Living among others is a cause for blessing, while seclusion is the cause of torment.

Happy is the person who finds fault with himself instead of finding fault with others.

From morning until night and from night until morning
Keep your heart free from malice towards anyone.

A perfect Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands mankind is safe.

Islam is purity of speech and hospitality.

Every religion has a distinctive virtue and the distinctive virtue of Islam is modesty.

Greet those whom you know and those whom you don't know.

When asked what was most excellent in a human being, he answered,
"A friendly disposition."

The best of Allah SWT (God's) servants are those who when seen remind you of Allah SWT (God);
And the worst of Allah SWT (God's) servants are those who spread tales
to do mischief and separate friends, and look for the faults of the good.

Whoever believes in one Allah (God) and the Hereafter?
Let him speak what is good or remain silent.

He is the best Muslim whose disposition is most liked by his own family.

Respect the guest and do not inconvenience your neighbors.
The faithful are as one person.
If a man complains of a pain in his head, his whole body complains;
And if his eye complains, his whole body complains.

He is not of us who is not affectionate to the little ones and does not respect the reputation of the old.

Truly, the farthest seat from me on the day of resurrection will be the garrulous, those who talk glibly, and those who talk tall.
And who is it that talks tall? The vain - glorious.

God is gentle and loves gentleness.

Inscribed on the prophet's sword:
Forgive him who wrongs you; join him who cuts you off;
Do well to him who does evil to you;
And speak the truth even if it be against you.

Whoever restrains his anger when he has the power to show it?
Allah SWT (God) will give him a great reward.

Backbiting is more grievous than adultery,
And Allah SWT (God) will not forgive the backbiter until the one wronged has forgiven him.

Keep yourselves far from envy, because it eats up and takes away good actions as fire consumes and burns the wood.

What actions are most excellent?
To gladden the heart of a human being,
To feed the hungry, to help the afflicted,
To lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful, and to remove the wrongs of the injured.

 Hazrat Ali R.A.
Meditation in God is my capital.
Reason and sound logic is the root of my existence.
Love is the foundation of my existence.
Enthusiasm is the vehicle of my life.
Contemplation of Allah is my companion.
Faith is the source of my power.
Sorrow is my friend.
Knowledge is my weapon.
Patience is my clothing and virtue.
Submission to the Divine Will is my pride.
Truth is my salvation.
Worship is my habit.
And in prayer lies the coolness of my eye and my peace of mind.

Think before you say something about others. Be very cautious and extremely careful while making comments about a person in his absence. Avoid suspicion and mistrust and think good of people. May Allah clean our hearts, and enable us to watch our tongue and our acts, Amen!

2-- Beware of lying. Whenever you think it will benefit you, it only harms you.

The ability to lie is a liability
We also forget that any apparent 'gain' that we get from all these forms of lying is not actually any gain at all.

Actually, any money that we earn or save is all haram because we didn't earn it lawfully. And it is one of the reasons why dua is rejected by Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’aala.
Material gain is one of the motives for which people commit it.

People who commit this will never succeed.
They may get “goods” (mataa’) in this life, but will only eventually return to Allah and be severely punished.
    What they did was kufr.

Fraud may involve:

Manipulation, falsification or alteration of records or documents.

    Misappropriation/ misapplication of assets.

Suppression or omission of the effects of transactions from records or documents.

    Recording of transaction without substances.

    Misapplication of accounting policies.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“It is only those who believe not in the Ayah (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, who fabricate falsehood, and it is they who are liars."

[Al-Nahl 16:105]

“Then Allah tells us that His Messenger (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) is not a fabricator or a liar, because only the most evil of people who do not believe in the signs of Allah, the kafirs and heretics who are known amongst the people for telling lies, tell lies about Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the most truthful of people, the most righteous, the most perfect in knowledge, action, faith and certain belief. He was known amongst his people for his truthfulness; none of them doubted that, to such an extent that he was known amongst them as ‘al-Ameen (the trustworthy) Muhammad.’

So, when Heraclius, the ruler of Rome, asked Abu Sufyan about the characteristics of the Messenger of Allah (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam), one of the things he asked was, ‘Did you ever accuse him of lying before he said what he said?’ He said, ‘No.’ Heraclius said: ‘If he refrained from telling lies about people he would not go and tell lies about Allah’
Landlord fraud: (for example where the Landlord has Housing Benefit for a tenant that they know to be living elsewhere).

Lying on benefit forms about circumstances is haram. (What is Benefit Fraud?

(Benefit fraud is where a Claimant, Landlord, Third party, or other person who has no right to claim it, falsely claims Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit and/or Social Security Benefits, which they know they are not entitled to receive.

Claiming benefit as a single person but actually living with a partner.

The main ways that people commit Benefit fraud are
By making a false statement(s) on their Benefit claim form or
By failing to promptly report a Change in their Circumstances.

By doing either or both of these, they may be committing a criminal offence under Social Security Legislation or other legislation such as the Fraud Act 2006. )

Lying on any forms about circumstances is haram (woman who claims to be a single parent while living with her husband)

He, who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and a third time till at length it becomes habitual.
The ability to lie is a liability
Lying and stealing are next door neighbors.

“The Messenger of Allah (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) said: ‘Truthfulness is righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A person will continue to tell the truth until he is written with Allah as one who tells the truth. Lying is evildoing, and evildoing leads to Hell. A person will keep on telling lies until he is written as a liar.’”

(Al-Bukhari, 5743 ;)

Whoever continues to speak the truth, it will become a feature of his, and whoever deliberately tells lies and persists in it, it will become a feature of his. This is the same as any other good or evil characteristic, if a person persists in it, it becomes a feature of his.
Allah, The Creator of mankind, told us in the 96th chapter of His Quran; "Lies, aggression and hostility come from the prefrontal lobe of the brain (behind the forehead)"; 1,400 years before Sigmund Freud existed.

This hadith indicates how serious the matter of telling the truth is, and that it may lead a person to Paradise, and it indicates how ugly lying is and how it may lead a person to Hell. This is in addition to the consequences in this world, for the one who tells the truth will have his words accepted by people, and his testimony will be accepted by judges and he will be liked for what he says, whereas for the liar the opposite will be the case.

Allah SWT: explained this to us about the source of lying inside the brain of humans, fourteen hundred years ago. Allah tells us how He will deal with the liars, the lying sinful liars, in Surah Al Alaq. (Chapter: 96).

"Allah will grab him by the (naseyah) [frontal lobe of the brain], the lying sinful (naseyah).

How could anyone have imagined 1,400 years ago, the frontal lobe of the brain was the source of lying, aggression and transgression? Yet, this is described in Quran as the exact location inside of the human mind for these horrible characteristics.

We can say, without doubt that, lying is one of the most evil characteristics, of which all religions and systems of ethics warn against and which man's innate common sense (Fitra) agrees that it is wrong. Any who possess normal chivalry and sound reason would be obliged to same the same.
The following sayings of our holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) further clarify that lying is a grave sin.

Narrated By ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr : The Prophet(Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) said, “Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up.

1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays.
2. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.
3. Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous.
4. Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and insulting manner.”
(Sahih Bukhari)

Abdullah reported Allah’s Messenger (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) as saying: Truth leads one to Paradise and virtue leads one to Paradise and the person tells the truth until he is recorded as truthful, and lie leads to obscenity and obscenity leads to Hell, and the person tells a lie until he is recorded as a liar. (Muslim Book 032, Hadith Number 6307)

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) as saying: Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is the gravest lie in talk and do not be inquisitive about one another and do not spy upon one another and do not feel envy with the other, and nurse no malice, and nurse no aversion and hostility against one another. And be fellow-brothers and servants of Allah. (Muslim)

Truthfulness is one of the pillars on which the moral survival of the world depends. It is the foundation of praiseworthy characteristics, the foundation of prophet hood, and the result of Taqwa. Were it not for truthfulness, the rulings of all divinely-revealed laws would collapse. Acquiring the characteristic of lying is akin to shedding one's humanity, because speaking is an exclusively human trait.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) said: “The signs of the hypocrite are three: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted with something, he betrays that trust.”
(Al-Bukhari,)
“Truthfulness and lying are in combat in the heart until one of them expels the other.”

Lying is one of the weaknesses of the nafs and one of the wrong things to which it becomes attracted.

Luqman is reported to have said to his son:  “Yaa bunya Iyyaka wa al-kadhibi fa inna hu shahiyyun ka lahmi al-’usfoori ‘ammaa qaleelun yaqlaaho saahibuhu.”  “Dear son, beware of lying for it is surely attractive like the meat of a quail which its owner is just about to pluck off and eat.”

It is never beneficial, even if it appears to be so in the short run.

“Beware of lying.  Whenever you think it will benefit you, it only harms you.”

Remember the Hadith of the Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi wasallam):
"Then he mentioned a man who had been traveling for a long time and was disheveled and dusty; he stretches out his hands towards the heavens and says, 'O Lord, O Lord', but his food is haram, his drink is haram, his clothing is haram. He is nourished by haram, so how can his du'aa' be accepted?" (Muslim)
And the list goes on and on.......

Allah, the Creator of mankind, told us in the 96th chapter of His Quran; "Lies, aggression and hostility come from the prefrontal lobe of the brain (behind the forehead)"; 1,400 years before Sigmund Freud existed.

“Truthfulness guide to righteousness and righteousness guides to Paradise.  Verily, a man will be truthful until he is recorded with Allah as ever-believing.  And lying guides to moral corruption. And moral corruption guides to the fire.  Verily, a man will continue to lie until he is recorded with Allah as a complete liar.”  (Al-Bukhari).

There are many of us who, pray and fast, and are the first to criticize others. But our practical lives are full of all forms of lying, fraud and dishonesty. And we see examples of such lying left and right, day in and day out.

And lying doesn't just mean out rightly telling untruths to someone on their face. Lying includes all kinds of 'little white lies', deceit, deceptions and forgery.

Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wasallam) was known as “Siddiq” The Truthful even before he was made the Nabi. The sahabas (ra) used to say that they did not know what a lie was! Meaning they never lied. So it is possible to stop lying. All we need to do is make a conscious effort and learn the importance of telling the truth.

Why we should not lie:
At the start of Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah has informed us about three types of people and their characteristics:

Muttaqeen (Those who save themselves from sin, hell and Allah’s anger)

• They believe on Ghaib (unseen)
• They perform Salat (Iqamat-as-salat)
• They spend out of what Allah has provided them (charity, Zakat)
• They believe what Allah has revealed to Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi wasallam) •
They believe what Allah revealed previously (previous books)
• They believe in the hereafter
(Quran 2:03-04)

Kafir:
• Those that totally reject Allah’s revelation
(Quran 2: 06)

Munafaqeen – Hypocrites

And of mankind there are some   who say “We believe in Allah and the Last Day” while infect they believe not. (2:8)

In their hearts is a disease and Allah has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies. (2:10)

So from amongst the three types of people in the sight of Allah, there are some who claim to be Muslims (like we all claim to be Muslims) But,  in the sight of Allah their iman is not accepted! So we need to be very careful lest we belong to the third category of people.

The main characteristic of such people, according to Quran is “lying”
A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies. (2:10)

The following sayings of our holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi wasallam) further clarify that lying is a grave sin.

Narrated By ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr : The Prophet said, “Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up.

Abdullah reported Allah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alayhi wasallam) as saying: Truth leads one to Paradise and virtue leads one to Paradise and the person tells the truth until he is recorded as truthful, and a lie leads to obscenity and obscenity leads to Hell, and the person tells a lie until he is recorded as a liar. (Muslim)

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger
(Sallallaahu Alayhi wasallam)  as saying: Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is the gravest lie in talk and do not be inquisitive about one another and do not spy upon one another and do not feel envy with the other, and nurse no malice, and nurse no aversion and hostility against one another. And be fellow-brothers and servants of Allah. (Muslim)

So this everyday lying of ours is actually making us all falling into the category of hypocrites! Whether we like it or not… whether we accept it or not, our Islam is not valid. We will be in the deepest pit of hell because of our lying. Unless we decide to do something about it

It was narrated that Hakim ibn Huzam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu Alayhi wasallam) said: ‘the two parties involved in a transaction have the option [of canceling it] until they part. If they are honest and truthful, their transaction will be blessed for them and if they conceal something and tell lies, the blessing of their transaction will be wiped out.’”
(Narrated by al-Bukhari,)

‘O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah as just witnesses; and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety’
[Al-Maidah 5:8].”

Allah, of course, does not need us to follow Him, or believe in Him. As He states, "Allah can do without them and Allah is free of all needs." (64:6)

He merely wishes that people would choose to believe in Him so He can reward them for their choice. Allah is ready to forgive even those who acted wrongly if they but ask for His forgiveness.

In a Hadith, or saying of the Blessed Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi wasallam) , we learn, "When Allah decreed the creation (of the universe,) He set down in His book which is with Him, ‘Indeed, My mercy is stronger than My wrath.’" (Bukhari).

What you want to do now is to start praying. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand and melting like a snowflake. Let us use it my friend before it is too late.

Never be afraid to try, remember...
Amateurs built the ark.
Professionals built the Titanic.

There can be no happiness if the things we believe in are different from the things we do.

Be Impeccable With Your Word. Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

Be kind; everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

Say to yourself:  I shall pass this way only once; any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any of Allah SWT 's creatures , let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.

Truth leads one to Paradise and virtue leads one to Paradise and the person tells the truth until he is recorded as truthful,  Blessed Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi wasallam) .

May Allah make our efforts sincere and keep us all on the straight path...........
